Related to the above, when someone submits a character that seems normal, if a bit quirky, and then turns out to be a psychopath and kills another players character with his consent. Then when the GM changed it to a attempted murder and he's brought to a trial for it the character denies responsibility for his actions.

At this point she could very well just develop depression. So, we currently have loose plot threads that prevent the time-skip from happening, so it's getting delayed until they are resolved, and the situation turns into everyday life.
Yeshua would have actually been perfect for the Dangan Ronpa RP I did years ago; his behavior would have fit like a glove in it. But yeah, I'm going to sleep now, so continue on without me.
Sorry, but that's where I draw the line in the sand. Taking your sandbox metaphor, the RP is the sandcastle built by all; while I was fine with a tower or two falling off it (the fighting and insanity), murder was kicking the whole structure down.

I considered Ritsu intervening sooner, but since I didn't have a problem with the fighting itself, I justified the delayed response by the fact that the two quickly went to a different area, forcing Ritsu to search for them.

It's a shame that Elora didn't manage to bring some light and empathy into Yeshua's mental state the couple of times they interacted, and instead only drove him worse. Maybe if she would have been a more cheerful girl, I guess?
