Soul makes a pretty good point, too, by I was going to say that that is not always the case. It is sometimes, but not always.

Self loathing and pity seems to be more common.
Those are typically effects as well, not causes.

I've become totally apathetic to suicide, unfortunately.
I don't feel sorry for the action, I feel sorry for the conditions that drive people to self harm and suicide. Things like abuse and neglect.

Who? And I doubt they actually did; a lot of people say that for attention.
They said it subtly through the titles of their pictures. They titled many "Suicide :D" and "Self harm :D". They titled other individual pictures with "Bye iFunny", "Couldn't take it anymore, not did I have any options", and "Sorry, Raven." They've stopped posting. When I realized what was happening, I trie to talk to them, but it was too late. And it was a guy who posted pictures of outer space.
