To be honest my thirst for Fate is yet unquenched (no offense to Moonlit), and I may GM another Fate rp myself soon to supplement what I get here.

Miyama - City Streets
@GreenGoat

In broad daylight, Rider maintained his astral form with unwavering determination. Keeping by Alice's side, he stepped aside even as a ghost when corporeal citizens passed by; his politeness was a bit too ingrained. With less focus on the war, Hugues found his imagination wandering as he looked upon the myriad of buildings big and small of Miyama. Compared to the tiny abodes of his life, these were massive in comparison, and seemed to contain within them countless workers that appeared to have adopted a uniform manner of dress. Alice's voice drew him away from the thought.

"Nothing as of yet, but this city does appear to be quite... Spacious. T'would be a wonder to come across anyone walking about like this aimlessly. I propose we return closer to the Church. A major road leading to it, perhaps. Those Masters less bold to visit Ruler last night may well approach him in broad daylight, thinking it safer. We need not accost anyone immediately, but we may be able to detect Masters nearby. Putting a face to these Masters is a powerful tool..."

And then, Alice's stomach audibly grumbled. Rider fell silent for a moment.

"Unless of course, you would like to eat something first."
Is that 726 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius?

More than seven...

The thought instantly piqued Rider's interest; with so many more opponents, his plans and notions would have to be all the more careful and potent. He hoped, too, that Alice's skills as a magus could sustain him well enough to deal with an inevitably more frequent onslaught of opponents. For the time being, he wagered she was a top-quality magician, and there would be no issues there. Thanking the Ruler for the brief hospitality, Rider followed after the minuscule doll, thinking for a moment that they might be faster if he were to carry it instead.

"I think we have our work cut out for us," he said plainly, vanishing into his spiritual form. Conspicuous as an autonomous doll was on its own, it was far less visible than himself were he to remain tangible. "With double the contestants we will need to be on heightened vigil, if we weren't already. One would be apt to take to home for the night with so little information to go off of..." Rider paused.

"And yet, gleaning some information may be even more powerful given the circumstances. Certainly with so many Servants participating, we'd be bound to locate at least one by mere chance. If you were so willing, we might even be granted an opportunity to dwindle the enemy's numbers. The first night may be too soon for some to cope with, if they are want to prepare like yourself, Master. Even now my own lieges may come across a Servant nearby without us ever coming into direct contact with one another."
Sumanai is only good for dragons. I'll hedge my bets on the demon. :3c

The longer he looked upon the Ruler, the less his flamboyant dress seemed to jostle his senses. Indeed, there was a glow to the hero befitting of his attire; a glow that worried him. It was neither the fact that the Ruler appeared as a great hero in the truest sense of the word, but what lied beneath such a characteristic.

For it was a well-known fact that the truest heroes had the most incredible luck. Against a man as himself, who valued preparatory work and meeting expectations, a hero like Ruler appeared not merely as an opponent, but as an antithesis to his own force of intellect. Though the thought sparked across his mind, Rider showed no outward change in demeanor. It would have been more worrisome, in the end, if the Ruler were a competitor to the Grail itself. Fortunately, that was not the case.

"I cannot eat while I my thoughts race," Hugues said, declining the invitation to food from both Ruler and his Master, "But I appreciate the offer, Overseer. Might I ask another question as well?" he began, arms unfolding to fall to his sides. "What exactly is your purpose as the Overseer? You are a Servant, but who summoned you? Is your master present?"

Perhaps a hint of worry that the Ruler was not merely an Overseer remained.
