Current I enjoy drawing new OCs entirely too much.

Bio

I'm not very complicated. I'm an artist who is always learning something new, and though my art isn't amazing, it's improving, which is a good thing in my book. I'm very social online, so feel free to talk to me. My favorite things are traveling, small town restaurants, and late night diners at 2 AM with my girlfriend. I have the ability to waste $100 in an hour, then make $5 last all week and absolutely zero math skills.

I have a plethora of OCs. A shameful amount even. One for just about any situation that could come up.

Helena June Chitwood

"Take my good advice, and forget your misery."

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Sexuality: Pansexual

Godly ancestor: Hera, Goddess of Marriage, Queen of Gods

Direct (Illegitimate) Daughter

Relationship with godly ancestor: She has a very strange relationship with her mother. Hera was a bit more involved in her life than her mortal guardians expected. She isn't necessarily close, but she worships her mother and does her best to make her proud with the improper title that was given to her.

Relationship with mortal family: After birth, she was handed off to a family of worshippers that Hera kept an incredibly close eye on. They were hellenic pagans that never gave up the faith for the generations, and received Helena eagerly, seeing her as both a reward for loyalty, and a great blessing.

Powers:
Absorption Kiss: Through a kiss, Helena is able to drain others of emotion they wish to be rid of. This only works if the receiving end wants to be rid of a certain feeling.
Supernatural Beauty: Though not as beautiful as other demigods, to humans she seems to be unearthly.
Avelingualism: Ability to communicate with birds.
Influential Desire: It can vastly be written off as coincidence, but it seemed as though when she surrounded herself with humans, those in relationships tended to cheat on their significant others. Hera told her that her presence alone caused such a thing. She is not sure if this is true or she has simply surrounded herself with people who cheat.
Shapeshifting: This is relatively new to her, though she managed once to change herself into a finch, then once into a cardinal. She once tried to simply give herself the wings of a bird while keeping her human features. It almost worked, but failed as she formed the feathers, resulting in immense pain that her mortal parents just didn't know how to deal with. She can however, grow claw-like nails that have strength relative to that of a talon.

Personality: Helena is not one to gossip herself, but she does all she can to make sure she knows everything she can about others. This is where her Avelingualism comes in handy. She is not very compassionate or caring, mostly coming off as apathetic until something benefits her. She can occasionally be flirtatious.

Bio: Conceived not from lust, but from anger and petty revenge, Hera often refers to Helena as her the embodiment of infidelity, as she was born from the affair of the Goddess of Marriage. Helena doesn't at all mind the role she seems to play for her mother.

Helena grew up in Salem, VA. It was a relatively small town that could be better described as a retirement community with a college in it. She didn't at all mind it, as it was a small enough town she knew everyone's business, yet large enough where she didn't have to see someone if she wished to avoid them. She got a job as an apprentice wedding planner, but quickly left the employment after all of her clients ended up cheating on each other before the wedding and cancelling.

Due to her apparent influence, she tends to distance herself from others. She has many acquaintances, and a few friends, but those few friends don't last long in her presence. Because of this, she keeps birds as friends, talking with them as they keep her company.

After the divorce of her mortal parents, her father informed her of a place she could go to be surrounded by what could be considered peers. As she had graduated high school three years early, she was sent to New Celestia on her eighteenth birthday.
@shagranoz After thousands of years of Zeus's nonstop cheating, she does it to spite him and shame him and create a child as living proof of her unhappiness with him. I also imagine she would want a child that isn't a full god. Possibly for the reason that the child would 'owe' her for betraying her own domain to create her.

@Surtr Congrats on the job, and good luck!
I will most certainly be putting a CS app in this.
@Rune_Alchemist Jesus Christmas. I love Meredith already.

Marble

It was hardly Marabel's first time waking up from a drug-induced sleep. However, it was her first time waking up from a drug-induced sleep without her parents around. She blinked hard, trying her best to clear the hazy film of sleep from her vision. Her movements were heavy and sluggish as she brought one fist up to her eye and tried to rub a bit of wakefulness into them. She yawned and stretched a bit as she oriented herself. As she did, she gasped and quickly covered her mouth as she saw the fish overhead.

"I must be dreamin'." She whispered to herself. Her accent was a bit more slight than others who grew up in the area she was from, but she tended to drop her 'r's a bit along with the softened vowels typical of a US southern accent. She pinched her cheek between two knuckles then clicked her tongue. "Not dreamin'. Okay." She muttered, groggily looking around. Where was she?

Oh, right. Something about an academy. Something about being surrounded by... peers.

She gazed about the room for a moment before she felt her heart pick up uncomfortably. She had never actually met another super. Marabel subconsciously rubbed her arm, a nervous habit she shared with her mother. The urge to make a noise of fright was great, but she was even more frightened that if she did, someone would lash out at her. So, she decided to stay quiet and stare at those who had woken up.

Should I talk to them? What about him? Oh no, he doesn't look like he wants to talk. Maybe I'll just go back to sleep? No, too late now. Already awake. Gotta stay awake too.
Why can't I remember to post?

Want me to start tagging y'all? 'Thinking that might be best.
Telasie scoffed as she quickly oriented the thrown ship and settled into a gentler stream of motions, still not relaxed as she did her best to avoid both debris from the opened up enemy ships, and attacks.

"I almost know entirely what I'm doing. Besides, the damage that would have been sustained from multiple shots from that thing would have killed us. Our engines aren't in any condition to dodge forever." The tall woman rolled her shoulders a bit. She watched as outside of her the void of space was only occasionally illuminated by shots fired between ships. She cocked her head at one gunner, then the other. "You two are tolerable." She decided in a rough voice.
