Even if we did wait, it seems like we wouldn’t be waiting that long. But, maybe he’s been here more recently? I don’t know if he’d necessarily destroy every station like that one.

Maybe. But it's probably really likely that there's some significance to this place if it's getting more signals. Especially since the network has proven to be under attack, I think it's safer to assume it's no simple bug.
