It’s natural for the impact to be delayed, you know. When I learned my brother was gone, I didn’t fully internalize it until I was in bed a full night later.

Artemis made the choice herself. She atoned for… Whatever it was in her past that weighed on her. Everything else? That’s us using what we were given to do what we could. You could not choose the cards you were dealt, especially when it was designed for you to have no idea what you were getting into. Everything that happened is only one person’s fault. She’ll be okay. I imagine there’s a bridge somewhere between the mess she was in, and getting her to the point she’s… Together like that at all. I was half expecting them to come back and say she’d need weeks to regain consciousness.
