Just came back from being brutally, utterly wrecked at the 2016 Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival. Then nearly going broke after a full day at Disneyland.

Just placed 2nd with my robotics team at our tournament today. Only thing that kept us from 1st place was the dreaded L word: LAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!! T_T

What a day I've had! First a blackout no doubt caused by living near the Super Bowl stadium. Then a logical leap to work on my computer offline, aka clean a bit of dust inside only to nearly break it.

Bio

What's up people, here's my intro, just deal with it. B)

Anyways, this is my first time forum roleplaying, closest thing I've ever done to this would be chatroom Mafia and organizing a Facebook faction page for gameplay, besides IRL PnP RPing. However I'm quite prudent and dedicated to being online everyday just to check for posts and such. I'm also very (overly?) assertive when it comes to dealing with game mechanics and GM rulings, and I will raise issue with the GM when I find one that's loose, unsatisfactory, or missing (I may come off as a harsh critic at times, though offering an assistant GM role would help XD).

From what this site offers, I'm interested in joining up a Free, Casual, or Advanced Roleplay thread. Specifically I'm interested in:
- High fantasy
- Cyberpunk sci=fi
- Deeply conflict driven
- Anything idealist/philosophical bound (then broken)
- Based on character origin/progression
- But I'm willing to try anything else if it sparks my interest!

Sorry for seeming rude, but I made my point. Also, tired of getting my hopes up for a fourth person to show up finally.
@Zarkun And I'm going to be that guy, and say your post would had best been a PM, thank you very much. Now unless you are expressing interest in our RP, I suggest you bring your conversation elsewhere.
@Jangel13 Sure am glad to help you out, partner...

Well, if Cait's not going to reply soon, I suggest you start your own plot, before this turns into a romcom/slice of life. I can pursue what I'm planning for now, but it's best to draw us all in with some actual conflict, at least that's what I believe the usual GM does.
@Caits I'm starting to realize I don't know what I'm doing either. Never meant to instigate this plot...
Kris let go of her hand, taken aback. He dropped his smile, feeling guilty for putting Lily in such a state; better to not harm anyone until necessary or later on (while not looking like a creep in the process...). "I-I'm sorry, I acted like a jerk just now...it was just, you falling on me was so coincidental, and I've always wanted to chat with you, it just was never the right moment, being busy all the time. Especially when you came in for tutoring that time, I was willing to help you...anyways, I'm always free on Monday, and I usually don't lunch with anyone, so next week if you want, I can give you extra time outside of tutoring hours after school."

Kris unwrapped the chocolate, broke half off, and gave the wrapped portion back to Lily. "I only wanted half anyways."
Ummm...I think you may have confused sadism for another word...but okay. I suppose being the main GM grants you some exception...

FYI, I am NOT turning my character into a Noumi (at least not fully), despite how Caits is throwing me off with her RP...

Also, I'm going to make one last contact with my guy before school starts next week for me, after that it may end up being the 3 of us for most of this RP.
@Jangel13 Wait...you do realize you've half contradicted yourself right? And I've noticed before, just haven't pressed the issue until now.

Anyways, from a mechanics perspective someone entering the Unlimited Neutral Field before other characters gives them a leg up in RP advantage by having more opportunities (Legions and such), and I don't know how great of a timeskip for leveling you will implement to get the rest of us up to your speed (if any), but for now I view it to be a bit unfair when you get to interact with more NPCs/be generally more powerful than the rest of us.

Though to be fair if we go back to the issue of age then it would make more sense to be at your level versus younger, and vice versa with lower level; teenagers usually at this age have other things to worry about than being immersed in a game, and selling it to the younger folk is easier. Always at GM's discretion, though remember I AM your co-GM, so my say should have some weight.
Lily's fall startled Kris, and even more so when she offered him food, as he noticed Angelo out of the corner of his eye slip away. Definitely suspicious now, Kris thought, but if you want to play this game, fine by me. Though another part of his brain was screaming, don't do it you fool!

Feeling his cheeks start to go red, Kris leaned in...and bit down on the chocolate bar. With one hand, he gently loosened Lily's grip & helped her up, and with his other hand took the chocolate bar from his mouth, flourished it in the air before giving her his most winning smile, reserved only for debate tournaments and dealing with other fools in the student body.

"There's nothing to apologize for. In fact, forgive ME, for not stepping in to save you from your fall. May I, in apology, ask to have lunch together? I'm afraid I have nothing better to offer you than your generous portion of chocolate, though I remember you came to the school's tutor program one time for help with math; as a certified math tutor I'd be willing to help you on my free lunch today. Oh, everyone's watching us, I suggest you make up your mind before WE cause more of a scene."

Kris could barely keep his lip from quivering as he spoke (he could not say the same for his face), as he half-dragged Lily along to keep the line moving. And everyone WAS watching, though most of the attention focused on Kris. It's been a long, long time since he'd spoken to a girl in this fashion, even under false pretense, and several of the females in the audience knew the difference...
@Jangel13 Any reason why your Avatar's Level 5? I made the max 3.
Kristopher took note of the rude student's nonchalant greeting towards Lily. Maybe too daring for a Guardian to acknowledge his Protoge, but until now Kris hadn't noticed Lily approach another student in class, not to mention a male. It would be less suspicious stalking the same gender anyways...

As the bell rang for lunch, Kris took his time getting up, stretching his taut limbs like he was taught to in his karate class. Today's 2 tests had taken their toll, though he confidently assumed he did well on them, "enough to keep Mom off my back." More importantly, he was waiting for the rude student to make his move, as Lily left the classroom beforehand.

Trailing him several paces away, Kris followed the rude student into the cafeteria. In a bold move, Kris lined up right behind him, to reduce time between getting lunch and continuing to follow him wherever. Absentmindedly, Kris flicked through his Neuro Linker's programs, checking the list of students already in VR (all students were required to sign in with real names on the school network), and through his backdoor any Duel Avatars; so far none.
