Just placed 2nd with my robotics team at our tournament today. Only thing that kept us from 1st place was the dreaded L word: LAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!! T_T

What a day I've had! First a blackout no doubt caused by living near the Super Bowl stadium. Then a logical leap to work on my computer offline, aka clean a bit of dust inside only to nearly break it.

Bio

What's up people, here's my intro, just deal with it. B)

Anyways, this is my first time forum roleplaying, closest thing I've ever done to this would be chatroom Mafia and organizing a Facebook faction page for gameplay, besides IRL PnP RPing. However I'm quite prudent and dedicated to being online everyday just to check for posts and such. I'm also very (overly?) assertive when it comes to dealing with game mechanics and GM rulings, and I will raise issue with the GM when I find one that's loose, unsatisfactory, or missing (I may come off as a harsh critic at times, though offering an assistant GM role would help XD).

From what this site offers, I'm interested in joining up a Free, Casual, or Advanced Roleplay thread. Specifically I'm interested in:
- High fantasy
- Cyberpunk sci=fi
- Deeply conflict driven
- Anything idealist/philosophical bound (then broken)
- Based on character origin/progression
- But I'm willing to try anything else if it sparks my interest!

@Jangel13 Bump.
@Caits@Jangel13 Alright, first part of post was to let you guys know I'm not dead (just extremely busy with school), and now I finished the second part, so go ahead and post.
"Very well, a rash decision nonetheless. However expected, as there are other priorities in mind for me to accomplish right now." Ochre Technic menacingly flourished his arms and cape, directing everyone's gaze at the unexpected appearance of Scarlet Gunner, Yellow Beetle, and another bot wrapped in chains standing motionless on ledges above them. "Now that our most troublesome hacker has left her own playground and joined mine, I'd like to see how her creations work when they're turned against her."

Yellow Beetle's blank eyes suddenly lit up. The same azure light that bathed defeated Avatars coiled down from the sky and wrapped around Beetle; if one were to look closely the light would appear to be a matrix of flashing numbers resembling computer binary code. It coalesced upon the bot's back, slowly adding new structure to the appearance of its program. Insectoid wings sprouted forth, and Yellow Beetle took flight down the chasm, marking the course for its new master. "This is only a prototype that I've derived from the sample generously provided to me by your 'friend'; don't bother taking back control of your precious bot either until after our match. By the way, I wouldn't be surprised Gunmetal Fog has something similar up his sleeves; I suppose I've inadvertently setup a situation to test where these 'friendships' truly lie. Not that mere programs care."

Ochre Technic thrust a finger at the hacker's Avatar, and Yellow Beetle shot forward, firing off its special attack to disable its creator.

//

Kris hadn't uttered a sound since the beginning of the match, but that was because he wasn't exactly in his Avatar form. While Ochre Technic drew everyone else's attention, Gunmetal Fog stood silent on his own ledge. Suddenly, his figure distorted, red error signs popping up all around, and static electricity running across his torso. Then Gunmetal Fog slumped to the ground, its eyes flickering out and signature even dissipating into the air. Yet...no azure particles began to emanate as the sign of a defeated Avatar.

Kris shuddered and reopened his eyes. He was now standing on a ledge above his original position, looking upon the rest of the battle. The shoddy work he'd done on his program paid off, though he reminded himself to fix the error messages next time so his transfer didn't affect his nerves so much. He examined his newly acquired form, the nether chains wrapped around his arms ominously glistening. They beckoned him towards his immediate goal, noticing Yellow Beetle initiating combat. He gave his best impression of a Slasher smile, and hurled forward, chains unfurling to ensnare the hacker, Cyber Yellow.

I won't be posting for a while, have a busy week ahead of me, I'll see if I can find time.
@Caits Should I post before you?
Still waiting on @Ayazi. Though would it be preferable to post anyways given my circumstance?
@Jangel13 It's cool, been chilling this whole week of school break.
@Ayazi I thought I'd free you up actually. I essentially put all my character's actions in that one post, not going to add anything more other than fluff.

EDIT: And I've finished my post.
@Caits @Jangel13 Sorry for the delays, illness then school caught up with me.
@Ayazi...Really?

Just that one word crossed Kiritsugu's mind, as he witnessed either an infallible display of backfiring rudeness, or a miscalculation of how clumsy one was. The case at least happened to not be completely devoid of logic, as Kiritsugu deduced several facts which did help the girl save face (pun unintended). It happened that the bus running the route from school along this boulevard was just pulling up to the corner, no doubt preparing to cross the intersection towards the nearby bus stop. He'd just passed the pharmacy along his way, which its unmistakably recognizable plastic bag was at present in the limp clutch of the victim's hand. Thus the valid statement (if so proffered after he removed the body from blocking the crime scene...sidewalk) would run along the lines of, "I'm so sorry mister, but I had to catch the bus on time, there's this medicine I have to deliver to my sick parent(s), I didn't mean to trouble you, please be a gentleman and forgive me!"

(Not that physical height even attested equivalency to mental age. Wow, I definitely did not sign up for insecurities of tallness when puberty the robocall salesman rang.)

And there was something else, scratched just below the surface, or perhaps a red herring to distract Kiritsugu tapping the girl's shoulder and voicing prerecorded statements of forced concern. He recalled her accent as subtly foreign, almost easing into the local vibe, yet distinctly operating on its own wavelength. What at first he mistook for the shadows, as she began to stir, turned out to be an even tanner complexion in the sunlight than the half Chinese could give due credit. And upon general inspection of her appearance, an involuntary, inward groan followed his fond memories of clothes shopping with mother in the trendier retail row of Harbor City; he knew the American brands of AE and Hollister. Certainly all this tied into the cruder gait of a gaijin bumping into him (he wasn't one to talk), yet with airs that suggested a grace not necessarily of Japanese culture.

All this pandering for truth was made moot the instant that truck roared past the startled bus driver stomping the brake, the even more startled students backpedaling from the crosswalk just in time, and Kiritsugu just raising an eyebrow and wondering what more could be wrong with Earth's denizens today. Perhaps the sounds of crashing, erupting flame, and screaming metal should have elicited more than a wince drawn deep from Kiritsugu's empathy. While the bus driver dealt with the gathering crowd blocking the intersection by honking his horn before throwing his hands up to kami-sama and releasing his passengers early, Kiritsugu unceremoniously grabbed the girl under the shoulders and hauled her upright. Steadying her arm against the side of the bus, he muttered something along the lines of get home quickly.

He felt his first pangs of guilt and horror as he passed through the crowd; whoever was driving apparently didn't even try to save himself or at least swerve to avoid head on. He heard one of the students begin to yell at the dazed spectators to get away, claiming an explosion, and the mixed signals were received by another student charging ahead towards the scene, then suddenly stooping to grab a metal bat like a baseball lunatic. But wait -- why did multiple lights all of a sudden flash? ...There be robots?

Multiple clicks and whirring gears sequenced within the part of Kirtsugu's brain that had been trained to be technologically savvy since his childhood under paternal care. He took off in the opposite direction to the bus, while fumbling to retrieve the MS Surface from his backpack. Just a few furious taps and a swipe would be all Kiritsugu needed on an Internet search to confirm his knowledge on those robots, but first a simple question directed at the bus driver,

"Excuse me mister, can you please leave the bus WiFi on, so I can access the Internet urgently?"
