I would like things to pick back up in my half but I wouldn't say no to sinply starting something fresh
Reylan

Interacting with:

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Reylan left the inn without a word to anyone, it was vital that he learn anything he could about this Valentine. Thanks to Alisea, he was no longer moping around and was ready to do something. There was one place that came to mind that could have the informatjon he sought....Data Link 66. The guildmaster passed through the crowds watching the fireworks with a determined look in his eyes. He reached their building quickly and he only hoped someone would be inside. The doors were pushed open and he stepped in, looking around as he said "Hello? Is there somebody here?"

"Hmm? Yes?" The young man at the counter who had been dozing off jerked his head up quickly at the sound. He looked sleepy but managed to fix his eyes on Reylan. "What can I do for you?"

A small sense of relief went through him "I need all the information you have on the player; Valentine." He asked with a serious tone. The Legion of the Wolf would not be blind about their biggest threat.

"Information on a player huh.... reckon I heard that name before. Give me a moment." He disappeared behind a set of drapes to what appeared to be the storage of some kind within the building. He returned momentarily with a scroll in his hand. "Yep. I've got a file on him." He opened up the scroll to take a read. "Looks like your boy's got quite the file on him."

It was strange to say but Reylan was relieved. The more his guild knew, the safer they would be. However, he took minor offense to that monster being called his 'boy' "He murdered one of my guild, so I'd like a copy of that scoll." He stated seriously. Surely the guild would forgive if he used the group funds on this vital piece of info.

"Ah. Vendetta." He peered over the scroll a little further before pulling out a fresh scroll with an inked pen. "First I'm going to need your name, any group affiliation you have and reasons for visiting. Guild rules, no one buys or sells without it." He rolled the file he had on Valentine back up. "Also... this is going to cost you quite a bit. A lot of info on here, we've been keeping an eye on this guy for some time now. He was the first PKer in-game afterall."(edited)

The first PKer in-game? That somehow didn't surprise him in the least. However, the fact they were going to charge a lot for something that could determine whether or not someone in his guild gets hurt...it made him just a tad angry "My name is Reylan and I'm the guildmaster for the 'Legion of the Wolf'. Now get give me a price. I have reason to believe he'll attack us again so I want to be prepared." Greed. A killer was loose in Talrae, likely with accomplices, and Data Link 66 wanted to charge a steep price for information about him.

The Data Link member shrugged after jotting down Reylan's information on a separate pad. "3 Golds for his last reported whereabouts and item set. 6 Golds for including his known accomplices."

The indifference of the clerk was upsetting but he had no choice "Very well. Here is 6 gold, I hope this information is accurate." He placed the six gold coins onto the counter, taking from the guild's funds. If they went after Valentine before he went after them, they could prevent any more deaths.

He swept the coins off of the counter, dropping them in some box that was invisible behind the wooden board. "Thank you for your patronage, here's the information you've requested." He handed Reylan the scroll.

Reylan simply nodded in response and left the building, heading back towards the inn placing the scroll in his inventory. As much as he'd like to view it right now, he wanted to get back to his room to review it properly and make a plan. Whatever he came up with, Reylan decided he wanted to be pro-active in dealing with Valentine. It was more risky waiting to see what he would do. Once again, he slipped through the crowds of celebrating people and slipped into the inn which had unintentionally become the guild's temporary home. Valentine was going to learn he was playing a game with the wrong player.

Ethan sat down across from Averi, his head turned towards his back looking out into the distance as the vehicle moved forward then looked back at her with a grin "I can picture it now...Exclusive! Explorers Birkenhall and Rosewood's amazing discovery." He extended his hands forward a bit making a picture frame with his pointer fingers and thumbs, Averi in center frame, as he put on a stereotypical reporter voice for the last line. He let out a small laugh dropping his hands to his sides.

His body leaned forward as his elbows rested on the tops of his knees, looking at the map as he processed Averi's words. A pondering look filled his face as he took the map "I see, it appears we ma-" He had barely gotten a grip on the map when the whole truck went airborne for a moment, cutting him off.

Kai voiced his exact thoughts, what had just happened? It sounded like they hit a hole or large rock but after looking around he didn't see anything of the sort. As Averi announced the cause of the problem, Ethan moved over to check it out as well "It doesn't look like a accident to me. This is strange..." No quicker did he say this than three individuals dressed in the same black uniform, with a strange symbol on their chest, moved from their hidden position.

The one in front spoke out as the got close to the truck "Are you two Ethan Rosewood and Averi Birkenhall?" His rough voice asked, though it sounded like a command. Ethan hand hovered over Shelgon's pokeball as he replied "U-um what if we are?" His snarky tone was perhaps unnecessary but he had a bad feeling about this. The grunt looked at the other two behind him briefly before turning back to Ethan and Averi "You're going to come with us. We can't have you interfering!"

Before Ethan could react, the three took pokeballs from their belt and released them. A Houndour, Drowsey, and Skorupi appeared before them ready to attack. Ethan took a hold of Shelgon's pokeball and, pressing the button, tossed it forward releasing the tough Dragon-type. Shelgon then postured defensively between the hostile Pokemon and his trainer, as he waited for Averi to join in "I don't think these guys can be reasoned with." He said somewhat sarcastically.
Voltaire watched as Koph tore into the goblins, standing by to assist but she seemed able to clean the rest of them up fairly easily with their morale broken and their numbers crushed. He got hung up on the word Intended and was able to piece together what she meant. Whoever married Koph would need to be one hell of a person in order to keep up with her. Once she was finsihed, she began talking about the Agni familia and he noticed that she had been using the word rhythm and flow quite a bit. He had to admit he was getting curious.

He picked up all the magic stones that were in his area and brought them over to Koph "What are you talking about when you say 'rhythm' and 'flow' of something?" It was hard for him to phrase the question properly. Music was only something he listened to and never pondered, not when he had far greater concerns. Once the stones were in the bag, he put his dagger back in his arm sheathe. No one had been really around to properly educate him and he was lucky enough to be able to read.

Ethan was left a little speechless at the demeanor of their driver. He a youthful appearance but he talked like a miserable old man. Oh well, it didn't bother him that much. Instead he just accepted that Kai was a tad irritable "Yes, we'll get right in." His energy didn't take a hit and instead he followed Averi to the back of the truck. If a sandstorm did hit them, as was likely, he was glad he brought his special googles.

He slid the bag off his back and lifted it onto the back of the truck while Averi spoke "Maybe he's already got some sand in his pants?" Ethan joked as he grabbed the side of the truck and pushed himself up, then offered a hand to Averi to make it easier for her "So you think we'll actually find what the Foundation is looking for?" He asked casually.
@Sola

What do you think of the image for Kai?

Ethan smirked as he was rewarded with the sweet confirmation of his terrible pun "I couldn't resist!" He was not about to let their reunion happen without one. It was already beginning to feel like they hadn't been apart for so many years.

Shelgon let out a small happy cry as Averi acknowledged him and moved eagerly into her hand "Gon!" It then proceeded to happily trot back over to Ethan's side having said hello and receiving attention in return. Shelgon was as loyal as a trainer could hope for, except when it had come to Averi. He always seemed to take her side against Ethan whenever there arguements.

Ethan unaware of his actions took a few steps closer as Averi answered a call, looking at the guy on the display screen. He appeared to be quite impatient and suddenly Ethan felt guilty that he had made them late for their ride. Kai was his name? He had to agree with Averi that they shouldn't keep him waiting anymore. Besides, they would have more time to talk later considering they were going to be working together for awhile.

Ethan quickly retrieved his pokeballs and called back all his companions "He'll probably blow a gasket before his truck does if we do." He casually joked as he adjusted the pack on his shoulders, tucking the pokeballs onto his belt. Ethan followed behind Averi as they left the town to meet up with Kai. It was quite a cozy little village. When they finally arrived, Kai was leaning against the passenger side of his truck with his arms crossed. The crease in his forehead was enough to tell he was upset "We really appreciate the ride out to the ruins! My name is Ethan, I heard your name was Kai?" He would try diplomacy first to ease the tension.
He nodded once "You don't have to tell me twice." Orario was the 'Adventurers' City' and that meant anyone not one of them was not treated with the same respect. It was almost a daily occurrence to see some drunken adventurer using his power to bully someone weaker. His grip on the dagger reversed as Koph slipped around him "That's one way of looking at it." Voltaire didn't know much about being in a familia so he couldn't exactly voice an opinion. There were goblins to slay anyhow.

Where Koph moved, Voltaire moved the opposite...constantly covering her exposed sides while listening to her short story "Monsters like that should not be allowed to exist." He remarked strongly, as if hinting at something else, before he dashed forward to strike at the goblin leader. He kept light on his toes allowing him to safety dodge its initial burst of attacks. At the end of the flurry, he moved in and used his unarmed fist to strike the goblin's jaw. The blow disorientated it long enough to propel his dagger forward and slice up its right chest all the way to the chin.

Voltaire kicked back and moved closer to Koph again, he was relieved the golbins did not have the speed and deadly claws that the kobolds did "Why did you leave your tribe Koph? Um..I mean, why come to Orario?" It only took a second to realize his question might have sounded a little accusatory. His eyes warily watched the goblins recovering from their hit. What was her motivation?
@Sola

I will look around for something
That sounds like a good way forward. I like the idea of The "A-Team" jumping out at them when they get stuck. Maybe something breaks on the vehicle
