My idea was my guy thinks that the spider is like a dog. Kind of a running joke with my guy. Like "Oh look at how cute she is! Fetching the prey like a good girl! Who's daddy's best spider! You are! You are!"

Also one more question: Are humans born outside the Sol System? Like could my guy be born on some far away human colony?

Okay maybe not the spider but a bug. They are adaptable and it would fit the theme of going to different planets. My original plan was for robotic animal friend but this sounded more interesting.

So I am working on my guy and his alien friend. I was thinking a bug of some kind since they are more adaptable. Some sort of giant spider perhaps. Obviously I will compensate with his weapon and gear not being so strong. I hate being OP.

Just gonna ask the question. Can a character have a different animal as a weapon? Like a hunting dog of sorts. Like the big glaive in monster hunter. I'm just curious.

I love the new planet as well. They are so well thought out.

I was thinking for my Hunter to make him a complete new guy. He's never done this before but he's got moxy and the desire to learn. I don't like being a super badass at the start.

Color me intrigued. Could I make some sort of xeno biologist who joined the group FOR SCIENCE. He would help the group with his knowledge. He would of course want to capture as many specimens alive to help his studies. He can still kill if he has to.
