A large majority of the day had passed by as the it crawled closer to evening a figure would appear on the horizon. A, somewhat hobbling and large one at that! The day would have some slight surprises for Masako upcoming at a struggled pace. The figure, likely a man wrapped all in various cloth and robe had struggled their way toward the shrine out of distress. The large figure was holding onto their side, were a clear dark stain had formed under their hand. They were bleeding from one wound or another. They needed to get away to safety, and perhaps gain medical attention to spare them.

The frame of the figure as it grew closer would look something akin to an ogre, or some other form of Mogwai to most. The figure stood just over six feet tall, and had a rather wide and likely rotund figure to them as well. While most of them had been covered in foreign robes. One of which resembled a long tunic with various baggy folds, and a large poncho type cape of sorts that had been thrown and tied around into a make shift hood. A style of clothing that looked foreign to the area, and perhaps the era as well.
Their burly arms, and some of their legs were revealed while they were running. Showing a dark faded green pigmentation on both, almost a grey in color.

The large figure would managed to to run himself into the shrine grounds, and practically throw himself with the shrubbery. His tunic matching the dirt, and the cloak along with the rest of their body nearly blending in with the leaves. They held onto their wounded side, and tried to steady their breath for the moment.
Wanting to hide, or at least find a moment of sanctuary.

Less than a breath or so after, a human figure in western attire and bearing a flag of a western nation came walking along. They wore a soldier's uniform, and seemed armed with a long knife as they stalked about. A grip of fear and tiredness in their eyes.
Slowly walking their way toward the shrine, but never going past its gates, or onto is grounds. Still, looking about with a heightened wariness.
The soldier, may just slipped past if left alone.

Although the soldier, was definitely looking for someone, or something. They were clearly on edge, and perhaps dangerous.
okie dokily.
We're in business.

"Well that certainly is unsuaul to be in a paladin's divine skill tree. Unless it was oath breaker-"
Jaiden looked at Claudia's tendril's of protection stated more than his character Goibniu, but his mike hadn't been muted. Either way, both would be a little bit surprised by both the spell itself and its appearence. Especially when combined with the eldtrich blast that the Claudia had launched out a breath later.
It made Jaiden all the more curious as to what set up or skill path Claudia had been using, or perhaps if there was a separate multi-class system he had overlooked. He had gone into the game, semi-blind to keep certain things an interesting surprise here or there.

"YEP!"
Goibniu had call back toward Elian's thanks.
He had to rush his focus back to, well, avoiding the previous mass of enemies that were up and about. Even though, thankfully most of them were being picked up off by the rest of the crew that were along with him or had been warned of his approach with the door minions to be certain.

Goibniu would let out a disgruntled groan of slight disgust at the purple pile that was spat toward Claudia & Uriel. Not to mention the blood-burst that followed from the spawn being defeated after being touched by the 'buff' of sorts. Maybe it was also a bit at Howitzer's fiery language.
Out of Character, it seemed pretty awesome to watch and another fun design element to the game. He would keep that part too himself for now. He wasn't entirely sure what the blood, bile and so-on did in its entirery but it definitely added some nice flavor to the whole situation around them.

"YESSSSSSSSSSSHIIIIIIIIIIIT! AND BACK I GO!"
Jaiden would transition from the excitement of Howitzer hitting the boss' eye during the frey. It seemed rather effective, but also caused parts of the ceiling to start tumbling down. Which would lead to even more, evasive movements from Goibiniu the character. Being as he was, designed to be a slower character, and the fact that he was one of the larger characters in term of the square amount of space he took up. He couldn't really afford to slow down, as much. Even then he was getting scratched here and there by debris!
He'd start to retreat back toward Elian's direction, just to keep himself from drawing anymore unwanted attention, or... quickly dropping in health.

At least, he was able to be clear of the minions.. or most of them!
As he lead them right toward Rath's AOE pull , and thus away from himself.
Double timing as Claudia mentioned to be casting an area wide spell! Which, he didn't really have the time to decipher exactly how large that was to begin with.
Instead he began charging his Stunning Shock: once more, in case he had to help fend off anymore aggravated tentacles. It didn't normally take so long to cast, but since he was constantly moving, the 'up-time' on the spell got disrupted and thus slowed.

The massive pillar of fire did grant the room a wondrous lighting effect. Especially when the fire blast was far behind Goibniu now. As he focused on, retreating and keep himself from being as marred.

He wasn't quite sure, but the player Jaiden felt off in a way. Something, felt... off. Perhaps it was the lack of a third person view and multiple characters or multi-boxing to control that he had done years ago. But it felt like, he may be missing something. He typically could see the battlefield situation fairly well in third person at least. But the feeling was similar to that of when and unknown debuff symbol had appeared on a character's bar, and it hadn't noticed immediately.
It may have simply because his back was briefly turned to the blazing Inferno & Storm of attacks that was Claudia & Rath.

But, Jaiden was a bit on guard.
He would start, looking around with increased observation.
Maybe he missed a minion around here or something, but, he felt he was missing something and it needed to 'click'.
Either way, he should well be in range of Elian to not die , so it wasn't as an imminent of a danger.
Maybe the burst of fire would produce enough light to notice something, he hadn't before.

Hello,
Yes.
I.
A human. 1000% human.
Sure do like breathing, and existing.
I am, definitely self-aware and requiring sustainable glucose and complex proteins to perform actions.

An attempt to type content is being made.
May try to post tomorrow night between shift changes.
Head killing me rn.
Definitely would help with taste and smell if a nervous system interface.

IRL don't think I'd trust it personally lol. But then again I'm a pretty hesitant person.

Guess maybe if its a series of restraints and nodes (versus a direct tap/shut down of body motor control), but then that's just an advanced haptic suit that prevents ya from moving too much lol.

Random questions for the persons.
Would you have bought

1) A central nervous system interface
2) a full haptic suit
3) augmented reality projectionary space/tent

Or some other full virtual reality dive system?
poke me if I missed anything.

"Eyes up, Goibniu! We got something coming."

"Thanks! Got it."
Goibniu replied back after he long finished up the weaponry. He had been working on things while having approached this monstrous room. It didn't take him long for the rifle, versus the bow. He hoped the perk would, help deal with the Boss that was coming.. or exploit it a little.

He was less worried once Rath's intimidating presence had drawn in the area. It would at least, cause some less troubles. At least the red aura would attract a majority of these creatures. A field to keep an eye on among other things. Having seen it work prior, and trusting the transformed Rath to deal with most of the monsters he was fairly confident of the skill's draw range and effect thus far.
It should keep the big bad boss' attention, in addition to their large damage output.

Spirit Guardian's boon was kicked in once again by Cladia making dealing with the creatures a bit easier. At least, should be easier to avoid. He, certainly hoped anyways. On top of his own, other defenses.

""Goodness there's a lot of these things. I'm hitting any of 'em that look close enough to touch. Feel free to duck behind Auto, here between takin' a shot. Just don't let 'em get too overwhelmed if you could!"
Goibniu had been fairly protected from multiple sides by the death knight, the ranger, and his automaton for a time. The small minion monsters that would come for him, would be blocked off by the automaton's body and receive a reactive smack toward them with a sounding CLANG should its strikes connect.
The aumaton's strikes would deal a light amount of damage, but it worked more as mobile cover for the moment. It wouldn't last forever, especially if priority switched to the mechanical pet itself.

Boss: Trying once again to try and crush them. Moving the large tentacle to try and kill Elian.

When the massive boss swung toward Elian a crackle of electricity would fly from Goibniu. The dial on his side illuminating with a flashing spark, to shot up the sphynx's side, and launched from his hand toward the tentacle with a CLICK
Stunning Shock, it inflicts a low amount of damage, but had a chance to paralyze a target. Still low, but it was something! Especially if the tentacles were coded as a separate 'creature or stat', there was a chance for the stun to transfer and get re-calculated for the main body separately, depending on the object class structure.
At least the boss wasn't buffing itself.

Claudia then shouted, "Let us focus our attack on one of the monsters that spawned from the creature, so we may test whether we can kill them safely without benefiting our quarry!"

"Focusing fire on... whatever spawn letter this is! Any chance you could get a good look at this thing and figure out, where the big damage organs are uh.. Howitzer was it? Kiting some a bit closer Claudia. Maybe just out of or near Rath's pull."
Goibniu would switch over to firing from the hip from his Terezol pistol. Stunning Shock's cooldown wasn't long, but it was faster to switch to firing a weapon instead. He'd fire at whatever minion is closest to him. Yet again, his damage output was relatively low, but there was small boost to landing a critical hit on the thing.

"Either way, this is starting to feel pretty exciting!"
A bit more of Jaiden popped out rather than the character he was playing.
The sphynx start maneuvering his way around, trying to circle toward Claudia clockwise (left hand side), and possibly behind Rath.
If he could get those minions to follow closer toward Rath's AOE pulling aura (Intimidating Presence), it would make his life easier. It also ran the gamble of him getting hurt otherwise too, but... at least it'd be easier for Claudia to focus fire with him & Howitzer. Spirit Guardians should help keep the minions at a distance, with cover fire.

The quills weren't a worry before, since Goibniu was no where near the monster's focus toward closer target. The quills did occasionally move toward him him, but his distance kept him safe enough. Now things were going to get riskier and a little more fun.
Minion attacks probably could be absorbed by the handful with the automaton, but a quill- that was likely a far larger chunk. But it was that, or worry about being overwhelmed by numbers alone.
