Backstory, presented as a paper written by the player character

Centuries ago, there were those who felt religion and science were not only separate and non-overlapping, but also polar opposites. Whether these views were correct or not, there were many on every side who held them. This could be said to have culminated with the discovery of 'Psycha,' and later compounded with the discovery of 'Psycha Theory.'
When Psycha were first discovered, the world's religions scrambled to explain them within their own context. As few of them had ever attributed such abilities to their deities and various types of demigods, each form of the vast majority of religions at the time quickly began to polarize them. Even among the non-religious, Psycha were quickly demonized or sanctified, often creating new religions themselves that centered on the Psycha and their abilies.
Though the first two Psycha tried to quell these developing beliefs and reassure those prior, very few listened to them. This began to fester more tension between the religious and the non-religious, especially when Psycha Theory was first peer-reviewed and accepted. Things got more strained when the first academy for Psycha was built, aimed at developing those with "Pyschic" potential and learning more about Psycha as a whole and as a concept.
Around the time of the third such academy being built, the discovery of Magia accelerated the boil of these conflicts. With no understanding of Magia whatsoever, the religions of the world that had not simply accepted Psycha as another piece of the universe saw this as a chance to do what they saw as leveling the playingfield, claiming the Magia to be acts of various types of divine intervention. As more were discovered, there became many schools for Magia, built by any such religious group, to try to compete with the still growing number and quality of Psycha academies.
In present day, the "Schools of Magia" and the "Psycha Academies" are more at peace on the surface, though tensions still run high behind many of their backers, and competition between the two and their students is very high. While this competitiveness is often more light-hearted in nature, similar to standard universities and their sports teams, rather than as countries and their armies, the desire to compete on more meaningful levels is still running high. The "Event of 0 M-P-E" showed that a small change could set of a new and more deadly world war than had ever been seen by man and it's creations alone.
While the Event reduced the world's population by 30%, many things were learned about both Magia and Psycha as a result, and the dying UN fell early on, replaced after the war by the PNC. The PNC has kept the various countries of the world at a relatively peaceful stage, allowing the SoM and PA to continue uninterupted and successfully, with similar peace between them. Because of the Event and the PNC, almost every country in the world has government and private co-funded PAs and SoMs, which all potential Magia and Pyscha are required to attend for testing, as well as potential schooling and testing until the age of 17, at which time compulsory education ends upon graduation from the basic and intermediate classes. Many Psycha and Magia find work in fields related to their abilities, but most end up working for PAs or SoM respectively.
In short, the discovery of Psycha and Magia, as well as Psycha Theory, and their discoverers' personal lives as well have shaped the world, and possibly the entire universe, into something that could only be imagined beforehand. The overpopulation of the planet was cut in a single year to a more manageable level, though the cost was the lives of those who were removed from the planet's population. While the discoverers of Psycha publicly and privately felt that Psycha could be both a danger and a benefit to humanity, they had hoped that the planet's population would be spread throughout the galaxy before such a tragedy could occur. When Magia were discovered, the two both redoubled their efforts to learn about Psycha, as well as Magia, to better prevent such an event. Though they failed, the fruits of their work have improved the lives of all who lived through the war to see them. It's speculated that they and some of the original Magia are still alive today through these advances, though these are rumors and beliefs moreso than anything supported by evidence. Whether or not they somehow survived, many wonder what they would think of the world today, and such questions have raised both heated debates and heated battles within and between the Pyscha and Magia. Whatever those first generations of the two would think, there is no doubt that they were the seed of the modern world, 324 years later.

Ability info in general

IAUF (involuntary-voluntary alternating unified unobservational-observation field)

Transmute:
Takes an observed object within a set 4 dimensional locational range and creates an IAUF around it, then sends it to an unobserved state, then brings it back into a semi-observed state, with some changes made, keeps it in that state as more are made, and then observes it in it's finished, new state.

X-kineticism:
Creates an IAUF in which no outside observation can be made. Then nullifies the field so that matter, antimatter, dark matter, energy, and dark energy respectively can flow through naturally, and allows observation of a given type of energy and/or matter/state of energy/matter by the kinetic within and through the IAUF.

Those abilities are really interesting. And they actually take Quantum Physics past "it's both because we don't know" to "you know what sod this we're making it both". That amuses me to no end. The history is sad but exceptional.

Alright, guys, I want to write a nice, detailed proposition here. to agree with it, simply like the post. Do NOT reply.

Alright, here goes nothing:

I suggest that we limit our religious beliefs on the OOC. In fact, strictly prohibit it. I say that religious matters are strictly personal, and should be handled via PMs.

It also goes for any situation that becomes heated. Once the conversation raise above normal parameters, it should then immediately be taken to PMs.

Any who do not comply with these rules will be subject to a PM warning from the GM. If the issue escalates, drastic measure may be taken. The GM is also subject to said rules, and if 2/3's of our total group votes, then there will be a PM council headed by the next most prominent member of the group. Once a majority vote (4 out of 5) is achieved, then the council will decide in favor for or against the accused.

He works in mysterious ways after all, and it's pretty clear he has no ill feelings about using things considered bad for christians to get his plan.
If you want to look at it from a single theological view, fine, go ahead, but I'm going to give another view civilly while you give yours civilly. The worldly view is that they haven't been shown to produce results any better than a totally random selection, just like psychic card tests (forget the name atm) and the cross-theological view is that in order to get an accurate reading that actually warranted your reaction level, he'd have had to somehow come across someone in person who set things up that are incredibly unlikely to have been set up. :/ I get you're coming from the bible, but I'm trying to go from other places. Obviously I'm a bit more abrasive due to my personality, but ignore that :L
