Shinji:

*growls in frustration, as I move even faster, pushing my normal human capabilities to their maximum, as I strike you 80 times in under 30 seconds*

-Ken- *this time, using the extra reach of my swords and the extra force of the attacks resulting from their speed, I change my stance so I am sent dancing back, avoiding several attacks each time I do this*
<Snipped quote by Balance>
Shakal:

*the spear like rocks make an x behind me, breaking and taking the damage as the energy hits it*

...

*a large rock pillar with the circumference matching that of a small, circular village plows upwards, smashing into you*

I will crush you, insignificant bug..

*another pillar of the same size jets out of the ground, bends toward you, and pins you between the pillars, crushing you into many pieces*

Key Entity Extraction Ultimate, Gravity's Ending.

*the absence of gravity around you keeps your crystals' from reforming into one being*

Hmm...

*I am carried upwards with the first pillar and then I jump up, using the momentum and some extra energy to shoot upwards, easily avoiding the other pillar*

<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

*Pulls each of my legs free from its grasp, flinging dirt up into the air when I do*
Weak.
*Slams my lance's blade into the area underneath your chin, then spins it so fast that it does so several more tines*

*a crystal matrix forms under his chin that amplifies some of the strikes*

<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

*An explosion of blue flames and blue smoke happens in the air a short ways away, and a girl falls to the ground from within it, landing on her feet and pointing a sword at you*
Heeeeeerreee I am to save the daaaaayy~!

-Ruby- Ooh, random new person.
<Snipped quote by Balance>
Shakal:

*they stop mid-air near me, and form into long, spear-like things that float around me*

..

*dashes forward, punching you with 10 tons of force*

*I fall through a portal just before you hit me and I reappear behind you, sending an arc of energy at you with my sword*
bed, ned

I do wish you the best of luck. The best possible outcome of the current circumstance would involve having him as soon as possible. I do not, howver, mean to push.

-Ruby- No worries. It's gotten so urgent that there's no way it can get any more urgent. We'll be trying like crazy whenever we can. If all goes well, you'll have him soon.
I believe that these are the steps that must be taken in assuring MR's greatness and previous condition. Being a part of this isn't without effort, but when it performs well, they payoff is astronomical; if these are followed, many of the current problems should be resolved. The following are in order of priority.

1. If you're online, don't wait for anyone or anything. There should be no more waiting at all; if someone else is there, continue your arc with them, or if you're locked by somebody else (covered by number 4), start something someplace new. Always provide an opportunity for interaction whenever possible, and don't hold arcs until people get there.
2. If you're stuck, find another way to interact. The how doesn't really matter, but we all have enough characters and accounts to make something work. Don't let yourself get eaten by the activity of others.
3. Don't stop interacting with someone for any reason. If there's nothing else to say, do something, talk about life, really anything other than dropping conversation. If you feel you may have been dropped, or are awaiting a response (especially if the person is online), check the IC to see if you missed it. If not, ask them or "poke" their character again in the IC.
4. Don't start an arc, battle, or anything else that will consume other characters if you know for sure you're going to be gone for long periods of time. Locking other people into one story isn't fun, especially if you can't drive it. Don't let this discourage you from starting anything, but if you know you have a six hour dress rehearsal (for the sake of example) that prevents you from being IC, don't start a plot or battle.
5. If you're online/available (even if you're busy), just check in every so often. Once every ten minutes is preferable to "I have to focus on this 100% and can't do a single other thing." We all do/used to interact while doing other things, and even light multitasking is possible, and even easy. Just don't leave everyone in the dark if you can be there.
6. Similar to #5, if you can only be there for short bursts, make the IC the priority. The OOC can be caught up and discussed without much issue; the continuity of the IC cannot.
7. Avoid short responses that are hard to make conversation with. If the other person isn't leading somewhere, responding with "Yep," "Mhm" "Yeah," or other filler words isn't conducive to a thriving environment.
8. Respond quickly if you can. We're at less than a fraction of our former speed, and I find it hard to believe that something's preventing that when somebody's here.

All of the likes. Just have to not fail. That'll be hard.

I think very highly of him. He's a close friend of mine, as I have worked with him longer than any other member of the Big Ten. I respect his methods, though I make sure to keep his power in check. He isn't afraid to do what must be done to achieve the best possible outcome.

-Soren- I thought it was just the Big X now.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

Really? That's interesting.

<Snipped quote by Balance>

Has it?

-Ruby- I guess. I mean, I haven't seen you in forever.

<Snipped quote by Balance>

The categorization we have in place suits well.

Key Entity Extraction, Domino the Destitute.

*two large, solid looking rocks fly out of the ground, and ram into my fists, but instead of Breaking them, the rocks coat them like play-doh, and form fist-like qualities. Two shoulder-mounted miniguns assimilate as well, and they open fire on you, shooting out rock-crystal-like structured rounds, that encase you in the same material upon impact*

*they all shoot through a portal and come out behind you*

<Snipped quote by Balance>

Hmm... I was hoping it would be soon. It's imperative that we have him so we can retrieve the last of the Ancient Swords. They'll be useful against present threats, at the very least.

-Soren- We'll be trying our best.
-Ruby- I'm already running a search through the encyclopedia of existence to see if there are any entries that have anything to do at all with the Yellow Magic, but so far nothing at all has come up.
<Snipped quote by Balance>
Harlock: ruby?

-Ruby- Hmm?

<Snipped quote by Balance>

Vex: That wasn't such a long wait after all. Tell me, when will we have Rythian back in action for the home team?

-Ruby- Uhhh... That's a hard question. After this dumb battle, I have to research about the Yellow Magic and see if we can figure it out, and Maddie and Data are going to try and figure it out too, and once we have some more information we're going to have a meeting to see if we can figure it out. But, for now, we have no idea.
Soul, have you continued that fight with Shakal yet?
