Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I would like to tag some role players that have experience with this leveling system and my GM style. Even if you don't feel like joining this RP, your opinions are valuable to me.

Hello!

I know that most of us have our own idea for a Pokemon themed RP these days, but here me out. I'd like to create a sandbox role play where you gain points and in-game currency the best way that is fair in a play-by-post site like this. That is to award one point per post, along with a few other avenues like battling.

In this point system you will be able to buy items such as pokeballs. You can also spend points in order to create content. The more you post and become involved, the more you can effect the environment around you. In fact, I plan on creating a starting environment and a character of mine own. From there, I want to play the game just like everyone else. The lands beyond the starting location and the adventures that could follow will be completely user driven.

UPDATE 9/15/2016: The RP launched yesterday. We are still looking for players. Here is the link: roleplayerguild.com/posts/3892735

So at first glance, what do you think? Sound like a novel idea or have you heard of something similar? Interested?

I'm interested but concerned that you are taking on a lot of responsibility by roll playing as all the Pokemon. Also, how do you plan on keeping track of battles, currency, and level increases per Pokemon? It just seems like your stretching yourself too thin, but if you have solutions, color me impressed!

I hope my questions come off as helpful and not destructive!

Ricardo stood in disappointment. He had completely lost track of little Camille, and had gotten himself utterly lost as well. Maybe heading back toward the city center would be the best option, he wondered. As he took his first step, something caught his eye. Many blocks down the stream of lava he could see what looked like the boy known as Andy. Surrounding him were a bunch of children. They didn't look all that friendly either.

Ricardo gasped aloud as the children pushed Andy backwards into the lava flow. Andy sank as the children exchanged high fives and walked off. Without a second thought, Ricardo rushed down the bridge to the side that Andy had fell from. He ran with at top speed keeping an eye out for body parts belonging to Andy that would occasionally bubble to the surface.

The quick sprint felt like an eternity as Ricardo could only imagine the pain that Andy was going though. When he caught up to Andy, the only thing that was sticking out was a single hand. The hand twitched with liveliness. Unfortunately, it was too far out to get a hold of from the shore. If Andy was still alive, even while mostly submerged in the lave, Ricardo had no excuse. With his left hand he grabbed onto the edge of the shore. Then without thinking, he practically jumped into the lava. Unlike water, he didn't submerge quickly. Inch by inch, he descended as if it were molten quick sand.

From this position, Ricardo was able to reach the hand just as it almost sunk out of sight once again. Dipping his own hand in he grabbed something solid, Andy's wrist he imagined. Nearly knee deep in lava, Ricardo began to pull, inch by inch he sunk further as inch by inch Andy's arm and eventually shoulder came into view.

The pain was excruciating as tears flowed down Ricardo's cheeks, but despite the pain, Ricardo did not make a sound; he was determined to get them both out safely. But why was he going through so much to save this boy that he just met? The question lingered in the back of his mind. It all happened so fast, he didn't have time to think. Pushing that thought aside, he focused on the task at hand. The two of them would make it out of this!

Sorry for the radio silence. We've all been busy I'm sure! What I love about this RP is the comfort in knowing that it is there to come back to even after a week or more absence! I'm writing my next post now.

Specter followed Arlen as he made his way to the bar. As they crossed the room, Specter listened in on the conversations of multiple people in the room. More precisely, he listened to their thoughts as they spoke. Everyone seemed to be feeling each other out. Nothing of any great importance seemed to arise. Specter shrugged this off with a inaudible sigh as he continued to follow Arlen, whom was now rummaging through some cupboards in search of food.

@Alisdragon911

Specter noticed the girl's attack only moments before she launched it. "Arlen, look out!" The short warning was all that Specter could offer. Sure, he could get in between the two in the blink of an eye, but the girl would pass right through anyways.

Ayeka is mad too as the keys were not for Fatherl but for the other girl. At least the keys are frozen to Fatherland's hand from her own magic. Ayeka did not put away the keys to the rooms guessing that someone else wants a room. She notices a guy looking through the cupboards and she kicks him in the side. She hopes that get his attention, "if you need something just ask."

Haha! You just GM'ed (God Modded) the GM (Game Master).
@Dark Light

"No, I do not have the ability to eat or drink. But I will gladly join you at the bar. There seem to be some interesting characters that way."

Specter 'stepped' backwards away from Arlen as he stood out of the booth. He didn't wish to be 'touched'. He never liked being reminded that he wasn't quite... 'real'.

Specter then gestured towards the bar, looking to Arlen. "You lead the way friend. I sense that you are quite familiar with this place."
