Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

There is not a limit to number of posts per day or length of posts. That is a personal choice. If you're getting upset at earning the same amount of CP and TP as people that write shorter frequent content, I'm sorry. You can always shorten your own posts. Personally, I don't care how much or little other people write, I will always post three to five paragraphs. That's just my style.

You do however HAVE to wait for at least one other user to post before you post again. Double posting will be considered spam.

Thanks!

I read your Character Sheet for Olivie. Everything looked wonderful until the absolute very end, specifically the gloves. The inventory section is reserved for official in game items that are for sale at Poke Marts. Obviously, she can still wear these gloves. You can mention in them in her appearance or in the extra info section. But you will want to save your inventory for items that actually have in-game value, items that you will purchase through the Poke Marts.

Pending this small correction, your character sheet will be approved!

Thanks!

I was going to say that your Caterpie sighting did not fit with the original four types of Pokemon available in the Central City location. But then I got to thinking, "That makes too much damn sense." So I'm going to edit the location to include bug types.

BUT be careful, dual Bug and Poison types will not appear in the Central City location.

I may look into the Pokemon RP soon, but I've been quite busy lately so I may not have time. Just thought I'd let you know!

Hey, that's great. But believe me, I can understand being busy. Feel free to take on as much or as little as you like.

Thanks!

@Balthazar007 Missions? Sounds good! I'll try to make my first IC post today.

Awesome!

Yeah, I'm thinking about creating mission boards. There will be mission boards up for each location, organization, and a large mission board directly from Poke Corp. Missions will be the fourth type of content that people can create, and probably be priced at the cheapest so that missions become abundant. (Probably just 2 Creation Points each).

I'll expand more on this later! For now, I have to get ready for work.

Thanks,
Balthazar

P.S. I'm working on restructuring battles due to recent feedback as well. All these features should be live in a couple days. Weekends are my busy times at work.

@Zarkun@Lugubrious

I actually appreciate both of your suggestions very fully. I sure don't want to be frowned upon by the admins for creating sub RPs.

I will try out both of your solutions out to see which works better.

Thanks!
@Lugubrious

To be honest, you have caught me. I have not given any thought to battling NPC trainers. For now, I would rather to first see how well a system of only user generated characters might work. I'll explore this idea more with you later.

And yes, Creation Points and Trainer Points will be earned in battle posts, but they won't be awarded until the end of the match like all the other rewards. As far as the "creating separate posts for each battle" issue is concerned, I believe this to be the best solution for us. I can only imagine the confusion on a possible new trainer's face when open the IC thread only to find multiple posts with multiple trainers all battling in different battles. I think this would be intimidating.

That is why the current system is in place. People can always follow the link to your battle if they want. Heck, you can even let others post in the IC section of your battle thread. That way, their character can comment on the battle. This way, all the posts involving the battle are located in a clear condensed spot, rather than being scattered about in the main IC thread, among a plethora of other posts... many of which, not even about the battle.

I hope this helps, and I hope you give this system a chance. If you decide not to however, I can understand.

Thanks,

Mountainside Trails

Nick

Nick walked though the woods toward town, down a path that he'd only taken a few times before. He would walk the path more often, he thought, if only it wasn't an eight hour hike. But today he was in a rare mood. With a Poke Ball in one hand and a Pokedex in the other, the whole world seemed so different... and new!

He found himself looking at the Pokemon in a completely different light. He could catch so many of them, maybe that Spearow, Starly, or perhaps the Fletchling. One thing he knew for sure, his first Pokemon had to be a Flying type. But he wondered long an hard about how he could possibly make that final decision.

He opened his Pokedex every time that he saw a new Pokemon. Sure he'd met them all before, but hearing the Pokedex describe a Pokemon was too entertaining. The information provided was so minimal and statistically focused, nothing like the in depth knowledge he had due to practically living around them. But still, he was entertained to see what information every other trainer would be seeing!

While looking through the Pokedex, Nick saw something update. In the corner of the screen, a number went from 0 to 5. Curiously, he tapped on the number to learn more. Text boxes popped up, guiding him through the whole Trainer Point concept. His mother didn't say anything about Trainer Points when she gave him the Pokedex. Nick's mind then began to wonder... could he afford to buy anything at the Poke Mart in town with these Points?

His paced picked up as he had found a new goal. Get to the Poke Mart he told himself!
