I could do that. Your picture shows a hammer and an ax, but I guess we can consider that a rough physical picture of what your character looks like.

So for items, we all start with nothing aside from the coins, crystals, and if applicable, the clothes on our backs? I'm assuming there'll be some sort of "grace period" where we can obtain items, but aside from that, we won't be starting with any other items, including a family sword or something else of that nature?

Actually, I'm considering letting everyone start off with three items. I'll read your biography and look at your picture for more reference. For example, I was going to make a ”dwarf Warhammer", "dwarf battle ax", and basic "dwarf armor" for @rush99999's character.

I have a grand plot in mind, but while we are still in the character building stage, I'll probably throw in some classic scenarios. They will most likely involve the wars and troubles that were waging in factual human history around these times. But yes there are greater forces at play than first meets the eye.

Does 'You will create a character within any race you can imagine, so long as it fits the era' include the possibility of creating reasonable races, or are we 'merely' (that scope would still be vast enough) free to choose from those races which have been introduced in common fantasy literature ?

...hmmm interesting question. I suppose you can customize a character race/class. As long as it isn't designed to give you some sort of unfair advantage and makes logical sense.

Your character cannot have been wearing the ring for as long as your biography states. Our story picks up just as everyone has recently obtained or dawned their ring. He can only have been wearing it for a few weeks at most. He could have gotten it a while ago and just recently put it on. Or you can back it up and have your character's IC story start just after his father's death when he first found the ring.

This is all just in ensure that there are no gulfs in class right at the beginning.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I've been there, when someone unfortunately drops out for a bit. They usually return and the story continues. I'm still a part of RPs like that, and there great.

In this RP I'd rather set the pace a little better though. With a definitive end date of 30 days (give or take). This creates a manageable schedule. If you think you can keep up for one month, i.e. post every 3 days or quicker.

I'll probably give up a few points here and there as well, as I have a busy life too. But I think I'll be able to post quick enough not to give away too many, at least for the next month at least. I want everyone that joins this RP and make the same commitment. I can always push the day count back again, to say 5 days. But I'd like to see what we can do as it is first.
