Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I am at work right now, I will have a post up around 7ish 830 at latest, I want to give @Zarkun a chance to post if he is ready

Heard that. No problem.

Side Note: I have officially placed 50% of ALL Pokemon on the globe. Pretty much every corner of the planet has Pokemon now. From here on out, I'm going to slow down and only add like 4 Pokemon per day (IE: about 1% per day). So that means, not every Pokemon will be available for about 50 days.

Awe yeah!

..."Looks like we about to start an other adventure in a brand new place, are you guys ready?? Her pokemon nodded with excitement, they were estatic to be reunited with their Trainer after so long. "Right, well let's do some shopping first get some new clothes."

One hour later...
Liz walked through the city with the help of her translator/friend Ronald. For a Monday, the sidewalks were quite busy. Soon she would arrive at a local shopping district, one suggested to her by a front desk worker back at her hotel. Here she would find many clothing shops to choose from.

...As she crossed the finish line she noted she was in the top thirty. Not horrible, but not great either, Circe hoped that her written test and the next section would make up for this part.

The lunch provided for the 100 canidates was good but nothing too special. At least it was an all you can eat buffet. When the lunch hour was finished, they were led back outside. On the other side of the obstacle course, there was a large building, built very much like a school. Inside the main lobby, everyone would wait while others would be taken to rooms for a "final interview". Circe didn't have to wait long, as she was a part of the first group.

Up two flights of stairs, she arrived at her room. The room was large and empty, except for a desk with one empty chair in front of it and a woman sitting behind it. A camera was set up off to the side on a tripod and pointed mostly at the empty chair. The woman stood up to welcome Circe, and introduce herself as Kathy.

Just a few minutes into the interview, it became apparent that Kathy wasn't any old interviewer. She was a professional phsychiatrist and damn good at her job. She asked normal questions like, "Why do you want to be a trainer?", "What are your life goals?", and "Before all of this, where would you have seen yourself in five years?". Yes, the questions were normal, but the unwavering eye contact, that was the unsettling part.

(Quick Note: Don't end the interview or leave this room in your post. There's another part to this interview.)
Well, I primarily meant could he start in, like Tokyo and such is all.

Yep. Anywhere in the world. :)
Did not mean to overstep, I do apologize, I was only trying to give an example πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Don't worry about it. It's not an issue.

BTW, there are a LOT of Pokemon. lol
I've been placing them all day long, and so far I've only placed 43% of them.
My only question is would I be allowed to have him have his team and would he be out in the world yet?

Sort like Liz, I think he wants to wait for us to give character development before we just about ignore it catching pokemon lol, and I think he wants you to write for the testing part like I an doing for Circe

I think Zarkun is reffering ONLY to his Pokemon universe character. He knows that his Earth world character has to go through the test first.

To answer your question directly, yes. Jason can venture the world with his Pokemon already, but his Pokeballs won't work anymore. So his Pokemon will have to be walking with him. I didn't make Cerces give up Liz's Pokemon; that was all her own doing.

But if he is found wandering the streets of some city, he's likely to be noticed, and they would surely try to recruit him. Also remember, he has no Earth money to start off with and speaks another language.

Finally, you didn't mention catching Pokemon, but he obviously can't do that without Pokeballs anyways.

So in short, if he wants to try and travel the world on his own, it won't be easy. But it's up to you.
@LuckyBlackCat
Are you still on board?
Sorry, it’s been a week. Been dealing with things, but I am here to state that my presence is still here.

Cool beans. Let me know if you have any questions.
@Zarkun
Awesome! I've added your character to the 0th IC post. You may now post IC whenever you like. You can start at any point in the timeline. Meaning, you could start us as far back as the day all the stuff went down on New Years, or you can start off already taking the exams (or anywhere in between). Your character would be going to an exam site in San Fransisco that is much the same as the one in Washington D.C.

And Jason can start anywhere in the world.

..."Yes, hello professor!! Primus Champin Liz speaking, please accuse, my poor English. I was curus as to the therees to how this hapen?? And when we catch all the Pokemon, what will becom of them?? I have looked in this planet, and they constanly fight each udder. The land we are in now, no ofens to those that have givin us a place to stay, the pepoll don't even trus own gufernmen. How can we, and what effert is bing made to get us ome??" She said as best she could.

Professor Juniper listened to Liz's question with a soft smile. "Those are some good questions indeed. Let's see, as for how this happened... we don't know... As an expert in Pokemon origins, my focus is on legendary Pokemon such as Arceus, as well as Palkia and Dialga. Theoreticly, those three Pokemon have the ability to make this all happen. But there are many theories floating around, some having nothing to do with Pokemon, and some hybrid theories involving both Pokemon and phenomenon from this world. Once we figure this mystery out, we will hopefully be able to figure out how to return home.

Now to the other side of your question, the care of Pokemon and trustworthyness of this planet's people. These are understandable concerns, but we are all in the same situation. So in order to figure this all out, we must work together in good faith. As to what will happen to Pokemon after they are caught... this is still being disscussed. Mainly, we're waiting to find out how long we'll be on this planet. If it's short term, we'll just keep the Pokemon in suspended animation inside their Pokeball's till we can figure out how to go home. If we can't find a way home in the next year or so, we'll start moving Pokemon to regions in this world, where they can live peacefully in habitats that support their needs.

I'm terribly sorry, but that is all we know at this point. Are there any other questions?"
By the end of her answer, whispers had already started circulating the room.

A short pause and then she finished. "Okay then. I'm sure everyone is excited to be reunited with their Pokemon. On the way out of the room you will be given new Pokeballs, enough to hold whatever Pokemon came with you. You'll also be given what is called a "credit card". You will be able to use it to buy food at restraunts, new clothes, or whatever you like. For the rest of the month, you are all free to do whatever you like in this city. We'll meet again in what they call April to begin working with the new trainer canidates from this world."

With that, the room was dismissed. Professor Juniper watched with a smile as everyone eagerly filed out of the room, grabbing their Pokeballs and credit card on the way.

...Other people where already turning in her test, but rushing to get done would do her no good. With just a few minutes left Circe walked up and turned it in, and waited to be led to the practical exam, wondering when she would meet her first pokemon.

The cold air greeted Circe and the 99 others as they all walked outside. This was most defininately a military training complex. Before her stood a field about the size of a football field. Scattered about were numerous obstical runs, and around it all was a running track.

This part of her exam was explained to her by a sturdy looking man wearing a plain grey sweatsuit. He explained with all the authority of a drill sergeant... Each person would run the obstacle course. Along the way, they would have to make regular stops at spots where they would attempt to tie knots, pitch tents, start a fire, and demonstrate other survival techniques. Scattered across the course were transplanted trees, flowers, and bushes from all over the world. At the end of the course, an examiner with a clipboard would approach each person to see if they could identify any of the plants they passed.

They would run the course in groups of ten, and it would take everyone an estimated hour and a half to finish it all. When finished, they would break for lunch and then continue with the last part of the exams.

If you need help understanding what Liz was saying lmk, I tried to keep the broken English readable lol

It was easy enough to understand. And your post as a whole was great. I'm just sleepy now, so I'll respond tomorrow.
