I think you can develop a flair. A personal style. Words and phrases you like. That's why I don't get using Grammarly for word suggestions.

I mentioned interest in the Interest Check but figured I'd reiterate it here. Have an idea for a sort of Inner City Batman/Daredevil/Luke Cage kind of character.
Do you have a tone you're going for or is that kinda open? I'd like to be a silly character if that's not going to hurt the atmosphere.
The threat was, for the moment, handled and the Elf made a good point. Though these rats had not really presented all that much of a challenge two of them had been slightly wounded, and who could say how many more of the beasts were even now hiding in their burrows, the forests, or as Tracan had said the house itself.

"If there are tunnels," Gorosk said as he wiped the blood from his leg to see how bad the damage truly was, "there could be a horde of those things moving about through these hills. Enough to make it all but impossible to kill them all, likely actually impossible to know when we had killed them all, and equally impossible to stop new rats from moving in."

"Tracan, Vah'lux," Gorosk asked the two members of the party who seemed the most likely to be well versed in the natural world, "any idea why these things might be so focused on this plot of land? Perhaps we should be looking for something, but what?"
Gorosk's pupils dilated and his blood pressure soared as the mangy rodent survived what should have been a truly beautiful launch. The rodent rather than soaring through the air majestically before disappearing into the treeline simply turned, squealed, and bit him. Much as his kick didn't find purchase the rat didn't really manage to sink it's teeth into the Half-Orc's leg, but it drew blood just the same. As insubstantial as the dire rats seemed Gorosk now understood well how with surprisingly modest numbers they might overtake a town not accustomed to battle.

In his better moments Gorosk would take this all in and try to use it to formulate an idea of how they might tackle this foe without taking any more injuries. He would perhaps contemplate if this might mean there is a better way to handle this situation. In this moment however he remained very upset with the rat who had bit him. He drew his foot up once more and brought it down on the dire rat. Perhaps the rat was still a bit dazed from the glancing blow, or perhaps the damage Gorosk had just done to the rat had begun to affect it, but it did not dodge this blow. Gorosk's foot came down hard on the head and neck of the creature, killing it instantly with a distinct sharp cracking noise.

He lifted his foot once more, seemed to consider stomping the same rat again as needless as that would have been, and ultimately stomped on the second rat's back. It screeched and clawed at the air for a moment but then stirred no longer.

"Fucking Rats" Gorosk growled to De Brey.

Status bar is Thunderdome.
Gorosk fought and failed to retain the stoic contemplative expression and presence a Monk ought to project. His fellow Monks would not be pleased but they would also not be surprised in the slightest. This should not be a test of their abilities. It was no great hardship to endure nor did it require any creative thinking that might bring enlightenment, but Gorosk whooped just the same as he charged hard at the mottled brown dog sized beast beside Beaumont.

Gorosk opted for a not particularly expert move to hit the dire rat, aiming to just kick it square in the head and shoulders. His kicks connects, but not particularly well. He doesn't get that full thick feeling of a strike that properly seated itself into the target, but rather the unsatisfying slippery feel of a glancing blow.

I want to pet the Voidcat, but I dont want to get all voided.
Gorosk did not feel the regret Tracan clearly did. They had been attacked by these creatures and had defended themselves. Were they men perhaps their deaths could have been avoided, but they were not, they were angry base animals defending their territory. Defending their territory oddly fiercely.

"I don't go around hunting and killing rats," he said to the group as they gathered about in the aftermath of their first battles as a group, "But that was weird wasn't it? That's not normal behavior for a rat."

He looks around at the 5 bodies, in various states but all equally dead.
