Bio

I am a Roleplayer with an interest in science fiction and fantasy, with a preference for Casual. I have been roleplaying for several years, and have even taken a stab at running a few RPs.

Outside the Guild, I am an Australian science student, gamer, musician and roleplayer (that's right, IRL too).

Very much. Very very much. Enough to all-his-Might Vowzra-smash your civilisation into oblivion. He would be creating destruction. Haven't yet read Antarctic's latest post, but whatever it is, best not to react by creating a space-age civilsation. Unless, of course, you would like to do so in your own plane and have them escape and colonise a planet or something, in which case fair enough. But no space age civ on either Galbar or Arcon.

I suspected as much. I'll leave it as a distant dream, then.

I don't think it's possible to rush a civilization that much. The might cost would be immense

Well, it isn't too impossible for Teknall to do that, considering it's his Domain and all. Let's count what he needs: Metalworking, Advanced Metalworking, Mechanics, Manufacturing, Mass Production, Electricity, Chemistry, Explosives, Computing, Electronics, Automation, Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics, a bit more Physics, probably a bit more Maths too, Radar, Radio, let's throw in some more Mechanics and Manufacturing. We'll also need Mining, the Wheel, Transportation, Vehicles, Engine, another Engine, Aerodynamics, Flight. Put some more into Science and Engineering. Do some more Technology too. Then with those preliminary steps out of the way, we can actually get to the space program. That will take a few points. Throw in a few extra points to tie it all together and cover anything I've missed, and that brings the total up to about 40 Might.

I may have to save for a few turns to do that.
Now I have two reasons to start a space age: get people to mine Teknall's moon, and go look at Jvan's space life.

How much would Vowzra hate Teknall if he rushed a civilisation to the space age?
The twist is, however, that the undead as Vestec created them aren't naturally aggressive. They are completely capable of taking up a normal position in society. Some societies may be inclined to consider them an abomination to be destroyed, but others may let them integrate into society. A bit like zombies in Discworld.

I'm thinking more a certain Great Lich Lord begins his rise...

There will be much undead. Very, very many. But not due to Reathos. I think he created a pretty much self-managing system with the stones, and Vowzra is the one who decides when a person's Time is actually up, so it's all good.

Presently undead are due to Vestec. Don't you remember that? 1% of all who die become undead.

Speaking of which, that will probably have a noticeable effect in the aftermath of the Grot battle. Someone should make a post concerning that.
This is probably going to end quite badly. If Slough falling ill caused all life to go stagnant for a season or year, then anything happening to Reathos is probably going to result is some very bad happenings.

On the plus-side, he hasn't yet cursed the undead, so the nations of Galbar are going to have peaceful zombie neighbours.
@Muttonhawk, the trouble is, we're still waiting on @Kangutso to get his Avatar ready.
I have nothing to say about Brexit, other than that the name sounds like some kind of breakfast cereal.
@Cyclone That is separate. The horde Ventus and Teknall and co are fighting is a separate horde to the Grot horde.

Of course, there is some possibility that during the Avatar battle royale that this horde will be destroyed, but I think we'll try and avoid that so we can have the other battle too.
@Dawnscroll @everyoneelse, how is this for a map of Arcon?

It's a pretty-looking map. Whether it accurately represents Arcon is hard to tell, though, for it is also a generic-looking map.

Granted, Aussie parties are more upfront with their naming in the senate. Shooters and Fishers Party. Family First Party. Christian Party. Sex Party.

Not even joking with that last one.

It's one of the many reasons why I enjoy our preference voting system.

Given the vast number of microparties, it is probably a necessity for them to communicate their core ideals in their name alone if they want any hope of getting voted in. Otherwise most voters will get to the booth on polling day, read the ballot paper and think "who the heck are those guys?"
