I am trying really hard to bite my tongue. I get really protective of rps I am in and the above is striking me as being critical of an rp they are not part of.

I hope @Emma is okay. I know how family issues can get really bad and hurt worse then physical pain. We are waiting for you when you can return. :)

Belle took the rag gratefully and wrapped it around her hand. She felt bad for asking once he became sad. It wasn't right that brothers did not spend time together. They needed each other. Family was important for many reasons.

She smiled encouragingly once he told her about things he liked. "Please don't laugh Hachi, but I do not know how to swim. Perhaps you can teach me?"
His offer to show her the forest made her face light up excitedly. "I would love to see the forest with you, to see it through your eyes. When can we go? Oh," she added suddenly. "I suppose I have to get Felix' permission first. He is my superior."
It was somewhat strange to refer to a cat as someone's superior, but it was the truth for the time being. But really Belle hoped to one day help them return to what they once were, if they wanted it that is.

"I could bring a picnic," she suggested. "Just tell me what you like to eat. And maybe another day we can all have a picnic together? Your brothers, the servants, the other guests. It could be fun. It seems you haven't had a lot of that, have you Hachi?" Belle asked gently. "I hope to change that, if I am allowed to."

I don't think I will post with Lyra again until we reach the meeting place or run into Feoras, whichever happens first, since there is not much she can add to things right now.

@Prince of Seraphs - with Jessalyn I can wait until you post as Raven again so I don't ruin anything you might have planned for the interaction. If you have something special or specific you want to do and require a certain action from Jessalyn please PM me and we could do a collab post.

Belle lowered her head, trying to catch Hachi's eyes. "It is important to learn to control your temper. But I am impressed that all you did was freeze things. I have a feeling you could have done far worse. So, in a way, you succeeded in controlling most of your temper. Next time you can try to control it more."
As she spoke Belle reached out and touched his shoulder gently. She wasn't excusing his behavior, but she did want to encourage him to keep trying to control himself. She didn't know how they had all ended up this way, but perhaps it had something to do with things they had done in the past. Was there a way to change them back?
Belle wasn't going to risk insulting or hurting Hachi by asking about such things now. She would wait until they knew each other better, which she hoped would happen. She did like Hachi as well as the others she had met here so far.

Hachi nudged her towards the kitchen so she merely bowed to the other two creatures, apparently Hachi's brothers, as they left. "Hachi? I mean, sir," Belle amended. "Do you mind if I ask what you like to do? I mean for fun? Is there something you and your brothers like to do together?"

The best way to get to know someone was through questions about themselves. As long as she reigned in her curiosity and didn't ask too many overly personal questions perhaps she could get to know more about all of them.
