Lyra is sweet and kind but can be outspoken, which leads to her getting beaten at times since her only real weapon is her tongue. But if you win her loyalty she will stand by you to the death. Nothing can sway her from what she feels is right. She tells the truth, at least how she sees it, but is not above omitting or bending the facts if needed. Due to the hardships she has suffered as a bastard child from another land she has a strong sense of justice, but is at times too fearful to stand up for that justice.

Currently she works in the Hyland Keep, mainly in the kitchen and as a maid but she ventures to the stables whenever she gets a chance

Horses are a passion for her, well really any kind of animal

◾ Biography:
Lyra was born in the village outside of the Hyland Keep. Her mother was a bastard daughter of the Hyland family but was never claimed by the Lord of that time. She met and lay with a visitor from the Vaernin Forest, who left soon after learning of Enya's pregnancy. She cried bitter tears of disappointment when she birthed a girl. Lyra was a constant reminder of her failure to have a son, although she tried with every male she came across. Lyra grew up living in what essentially was a whorehouse, until the night of the incident....
After that Lyra ran away and into the Hyland Keep to get away from the life her mother had made. At 15 she was hired to feed the swine and has worked her way up since then. After several years of hard work she has made it past the kitchens and into the entourage of personal servants that tend to the lords and ladies of the Hyland family, but she restricted mainly to serving food and drinks or fetching things for them.
Whatever money she manages to get she sends to her mother under the condition that the woman stay out of her life.
Lyra never had what you would call a 'love life' but she notices the handsome young men about the keep. One such young man who was steward to the current lord was attempting to teach her how to read, but passed away from illness before she made much progress. She wants to learn to read so she can learn about far off places and imagine a life there for herself that is far different from the one she currently lives.
Lyra longs for new things but at the same time is too afraid to leave what she knows, afraid she will end up like her mother selling her backside for food.
She likes working in the keep serving the Hyland family, but at times feels quite jealous of them. Especially the ladies of the house, being so beautiful and everything coming easy for them. But she does look forward to the day that they marry and have babies so Lyra might be able to look after them.

So I am reading that everyone is in the capitol... so I guess I will have to modify Lyra so she can be where everyone else is instead of stuck by herself at Hyland Keep
