I mostly enjoy writing in the Casual section of the guild. Character development and exploring character relationships motivate me. I like to really think myself into my character and their view on others and the world around them which is why I prefer to stick to one character per roleplay. I love world-building but I am also easily overwhelmed with very detailed concepts I haven't been met with before. So you could say I love a decent amount of world-building and prefer original builds. Once everyone has settled, expanding that world and its concept is a great way to create more depth and keep me as a player hooked as I love to discover new things!
My favorite genre is and has always been fantasy. I guess you could say I love escapism to a point where I like to flee the mundane world entirely. I also feel drawn to sci-fi roleplays but I have noticed that those usually intimidate me. I feel like I am not adept at writing about technology and all that sci-fi goodness so I mostly just pine over how awesome some OOCs look and never apply to them.
When it comes to fantasy I feel right at home. For my mind, it is much easier to grasp magical concepts and worlds than sci-fi ones. As a result of this, all the worlds I write up (be it here as a GM or elsewhere) tend to be fantastical in one way or another. I especially enjoy adventure RPs and witch RPs. I like to see new magical systems and am always eager to learn more about the worlds I RP in.

Although the days of witch hunts are long past us, life isn't roses. While the upcoming election is threatening witches with a potential anti-witch politician claiming the title of president, unrest is stirring in the corners of the world. A rise in threats has been detected - unnatural beings, magical beasts, and other supernatural phenomena pull media attention and feed directly into an anti-witch campaign.
A D&D One-Shot. A group of adventurers is hired to find the missing grandson of a wealthy couple visiting the town. He was taken by a mysterious knight who rode his horse into the deadly woods nearby, taking the young boy with him. But the knight is not a simple man, he is said to be a resurrected ghostly figure forever in search for a squire, kidnapping young boys who never return home.

The Cult of the Dragon has come to Phlan, a lawless refuge on the Moonsea. Now, with no significant authority to stop the cult, other power groups in the Realms – the Harpers, Order of the Gauntlet, Lords' Alliance, and even the Zhentarim – must unite to stop the cult from fulfilling its dark purpose in the city. Meanwhile, Rhana, a drow rogue with a questionable past, and Salissa, a dhampir bard with flair, find themselves somehow involved in this as they tackle different missions aimed at stopping the cult.

I always write my IC posts in gray due to finding the white color pretty straining on the eyes.
No no not double I like original characters too much to do that, what I meant to say is a character who is loosely inspired from him, the character themselves would be completely original and not even remotely similar to Neville. I rather tend to explain things too vaguely when I am thinking ideas.
I am very unsure if I want to let that happen. I ususally do not like when someone plays two own characters in one roleplay (meaning "double"). I honestly would rather you didn't. So my answer for now is no.
@KuramaaaZ If you make a male character your chances should be fine ;) also since our characters are uneven at the moment and an even number would make greatly for 2-people-bedrooms instead of one 3-way-room.
Though, I cannot allow or deny anything, I am not the GM :) but I think I remember our GM wishing for an even number and more male characters ? that is if I remember correctly.

Preferably something with a little alcohol." Alycia had to chuckle at this, given that she actually wanted to ask for a beer but didn't wanna make those words be her first ones. She smiled at the beautiful, slightly tan looking woman. Sea sick? Damn that would be a problem for the poor girl if it didn't go away. They were gonna spend quiet some days on the boat.
"My name's Penelope, by the way. Sorry again for interrupting." Alycia offered Penelope her hand. "Alycia. Nice to meet you Penelope. As for myself, I do not mind to share a drink with you or some food if you crave a meal." Her green eyes met with dark brown ones for a slight moment. "What book are you reading?", she started a new direction of conversation. Hopefully Allia wouldn't mind Penelope coming along and them all three sharing a talk.
As far as Alycia was concerned, there were some hot damn women on this trip and she was eager to see if the rest of the "crew" - aka her boat-mates and trip-partners - were as good looking as these two. And she could tell from the slight interaction she had with the two women, that they would make nice people to be around - at least if she wouldn't mess with Allia. That girl had something about her, something... headstrong and stubborn... maybe even a slight hint of danger. Or was she just seeing things? However, Alycia liked it.
The first thing Jocelyn noticed when she awoke on the meadow, was a sharp pain in her head. Her hand immediately went to held it and she discovered what felt like two bumps. Her hair hid them from sight, but she sure could feel them. Her hand moved down again as she looked around.
The second thing coming to her was that in her right hand lied a purple note book. With a soft frown she took it and looked through it. Only one letter seemed to be in it and the words of it only confused her more than she already was. The letter, being adressed to her, left her wondering why she couldn't remember who the one was that signed in the bottom with only one letter of his name.
Searching her memory didn't really help much for it was mostly blank. No personal information regarding family or friends or anyone she might have ever met was available. A little concerned she told herself that it had to do with her brain injury and was only temorary. The wish to make a quick note appeared in her head and - to her big surprise - she suddenly held an elegant quill in her hand. She couldn't remember to have picked one up or even seen it. Fear struck her. Maybe she was already getting crazy? Or losing her short-time memory very very badly? Did she pick it up and then immediately forgot about it? How absurd it sounded, it still made more sense than the quill magically appearing in her hand just because she had wished for it. No that's not it.
She quickly wrote a few words underneath the letter.
Given that she couldn't do anything about her memory loss right now, she got up and - after feeling a little dizzy from getting up too fast and also the headache kicking back in - walked towards what she would guess was a tavern. The wooden door seemed to somehow pull her towards it, not magically, not over-naturally, just a feeling that she should go there to check it out.
Two other seemingly female living creatures that looked very much like humans were standing at the door. Jocelyn slowly stepped closer to them, close enough now to hear them talk. She stopped a few feet away from them.
"Excuse me?", she tried to sound polite. "Can you please let me pass?" She waited for either of them to make a move or deny her entrance. Her head started to throb in slight pain and she wished for a cold water right now.
OOC: might add a slight something once GM replied and if they allow it // "it" will not interfere with the conversation or actions between any characters

Just out of curiosity, and feel free to deny an answer, does this roleplay have a direction/ overarching plot in mind? Or is it mostly gonna be freeform?
I am planning on guiding this along to create a story around the all-day-Hogwarts-trouble, but will also keep focus on the daily school life. The intense of the story will depend on whatever kind you guys wish for. A rather "realistic" adventure for the kids, a rather "twist turning, exciting" story with yet not too much danger, or something more Harry Potter cannon like with real danger and real unrealism of what an 11-year-old would discover in their first year of school.

Im currently watching thru the seasons I am rounding season six now, i started getting into it late but I love the show and crave episodes thats why when a pic came up for this roleplay it needed to be Hotch haha. Also I had a small question what events have transpired in this RP harry potter timeline wise, from the letter and other pieces of information im imaging all the stuff with Voldemort never happened? Or is this a warped universe, whole ne story type of deal?
I started late too! My friend introduced me to it and I got hooked. Now waiting for new episodes. To your question: All the Voldemort stuff did happen but it is a while ago. Harry's 7th school year and therefor Voldemort's death was 1997/98. Our year is 2016 - that would mean the war ended 19/18 years ago. All our 1st year's are too young to have been even born back then. Of course odler characters (like yours) can remember and even might have been a part of it. Though I kindly ask for none of you to be a part of the order of the phoenix, in order to stay away from too many canon characters. You could definitely have been agaisnst the Lord or with him as a Death Eater, but no too heavy connection to any cannon characters should be made. I wanna stay away from that to stay fair with all of those who participate. No one should feel like they have been "left out" when getting to have a history with any cannon characters. Does that make sense?
