FOB Grimsby, the Team Knight Arsenal

Carl came limping into the building, a crutch under his arm, supporting his still healing ankle. Sure the doctors said he'd be find byt they wanted him too take it easy. But things just wouldn't let him do that.

Word had it a big brass is setting something up. Calling in all the best assets in Afghanistan. CSOR present in the area, DEVGRU, Ranger and Marine units. Armored tanks, IFVs and APCs in the area as well. The ground and air forces were gearing up for something big, something that was being rumoured to be the end of this particular part of the ongoing fighting in the country.

So it's no surprise at all that he comes limping into the Arsenal, "Well well well, look at you two. Of course I'll be up for it. Just give me a little bit longer. I'll be ready to go out there again. Who here hasn't been in a chopper crash once or twice anyway?" He limps his way over to his own kit, checking it over, "So you hear about this big dive someone is planning? Hear it's the guy who's been leading this whole thing. And he wants us on it. Likely spearhead?" He grins at the two compatriot Juggernauts. "This place, has been a deadly little fuck wad for awhile now. It'd be nice to get it all undone." Carl limped over to a chair behind his section of the arsenal, sitting down and pulling his left leg armor over, boot, and armor plates, looking them over. "I for one want this all to end. Get back to some kind of normal semblance of the world."

Bagram Air Base, Command Center of the Wakhan Corridor situation

General Lawrence leaned over the tactical table, on the phone with the Perth PMC, "So I'm offering thirty million up front, with an additional seventy million to follow when the job is complete. I need your best. I don't need whole platoons. Just your best fliers, Infantry and any equipment. We have buttloads of ammunition and parts in case there is a need for repairs." He leaned away from the speaker phone, "We'll put your people up with barracks and an arsenal for their gear. What ever they need we can facilitate. You let us know if it's enough. If it's not there is alot more we can do. I'll let ya'll think it over. But I'd like to point out, your people are spear-tip grade here, we're gonna need'em. Thanks for hearing me out." The phone beeped as the other end hung up.

He cued into another number. The other side picked up and a woman's voice answered, "CIA office B-x13." Felix Lawrence responded with, "This is General Lawrence in Wakhan, get me Agent Merlin." The woman responded with, "Transfer call sir." Moments later the line beeped and Felix grinned, "Merlin. That you son? It's Felix. Gonna be here in spirit atleast? I need everyone who's been a part of this shit on site and on alert. What do you say, got anything else for us?"

--------------

Victor walked into their arsenal and smiled brightly, "Up and moving already. I sometimes wish I could pin you down so you could heal correctly, but I don't think that would work. You'd find a way to get out of bed or the cell or what ever and be out here. It's one of the many things I love about you." He strolled further into the room, he stopped beside Natalie looking her over, "Hmmm someone decided to take a cue from me did she. This suit." He patted it over, testing the plates, tugging on hard points and the tech points. He nodded, "It looks Boss." He nodded, "Just add some powered parts to it and we'll be unstoppable."

He headed over to his own suit, "Speaking of. The leg and lower back rig I've got, is being tinkered with. And the upper body rig is going to be flown in soon so I can put it through tests. It'll be awhile before I can say I've got a full powered suit. But it's well into Alpha testing now." He picks up one of his gloves, "Groups like DARPA is going to love us when we take all this into the field. They'll want all the information that comes out of it. Imagine the money we can get out of this. When we get married and eventually decide to retire, how much are we going to be worth huh?" He winked at her.

After abit as he had attached tested out his armor abit he looked at her again, "Command got a call from Wakhan, the commander out there, wants us on the front for some big deal. Even if Command doesn't take it, I'm going to go. Even if I can't do it through the Company. Shit out there needs to end, and seeing we were there for the start of it. I wanna see it end. What do you say babe?"
"Hey you! Passport!" The four men approaching the one hundred meter checkpoint of Kitai-Gorod looked up sharply, looking at the seven men sitting beside a fire, just behind the fire, a big 7.62x54mm machine gun. The seven men of the checkpoint all stand up. Big strong armored men. Helmets and shemags on their heads. One of the men, with a big double barrled shotgun on his shoulder. This thing isn't one of the Armory or Market made Duplets. This is an honest to god before the war shotgun. All sleek, with long steel barrels and wooden butt. The four men in the tunnel all raise their hands slowly. All of them decked down with big heavily laden backpack and bags. Merchants by the looks of them. They have weapons, but the seven Kitai-Gorod men are not so worried. Three of the bandits step forward and begin to go through the bags of the four traders by the looks of it. Out come horns of ammo, food, water, drinks, flasks of vodka and other beverages of choice. Items that these four out of the tunnel intended to trade here at the station or beyond, but all of this seems to be pay for the guards here. As one of the bandits gets to the last man he suddenly bolts, back down the way he came.

Stanislav sighed and leveled his shotgun. But held up at the last moment. He grinned instead, "Naw, not gonna waste ammo on that one. All alone down the line, if the Darkness don't get him, something else will. Nosalies, Watcher maybe. Who the hell cares. He dies either way." The other bandits all laugh in agreement and send the remaining three down the line, ignoring their protests that almost a third of their wares have been taken as "toll". Stanislav the big man with the shot gun grabs himself some bread, and a few beakers of vodka and sits back down.

As he does he hears the telltale growl of something, then a hiss and a scream of fear. Stanislav laughs, "See? What'd I tell you." A howl, like something calling other things to arms can be heard followed a few moments later by the scream of someone being taken down by several large hungry predators.

Stanislav makes no faces, he just cracks open one of the beakers and takes a good pull from the contents, "Ah, mushroom vodka. The good stuff. Likely from VDNKh. Just like that bag of tea. The really good stuff." He laughed loudly. One of the men stoking the fire, no one paying attenion that maybe 200 meters down the line, someone is being feasted upon.
Drevan got up from his seat to stretch for abit. He'd been sitting for too long already. Rolling his shoulders, stretching out his back and legs, working his wrists and fingers. He gave out a groan as his back popped during a back stretch. He sighed and bounced a little getting his blood moving again. Returning to his rig he picked up the drink that'd been left sitting for abit, swirling the drink and sipping, watching the video feeds of the interrogation. He smiled brightly, he loved listening to the repartee between his teammates. They all had one hell of an interesting dynamic going on.

He sipped his drink and did a spit-take when the first machete strike missed. He winced, "Ow...okay that hurt even me...and wasted some good liquor..." He went to quickly go refill his drink, and came back just in time to see the miss on Hassam's nuts. Bugcatcher half curled up in sympathy pain, "Oww...oww...you guys are mean! He's gonna be shitting himself for life."

He chuckled, "When am I not still on the Net? Send it over." He set his drink down and slipped back into his chair. The upload and download. He smiled, "Where would you like me to put this? Google+? Youtube? Vimeo? Or just hang on to it until we can find a good use for it?" He collected the video and put it in an tripple encrypted folder for later use. He leaned back in his chair, "I'll edit it up nice for you. It'll be ready by the time you guys get back to jolly ol' England."
So wait...are we starting at Sevastopolskya? The station that generates almost a third of the power for Hansa?

I've been trying to locate Lone station in relation to Kitai-Gorod, and the only mention I can come to it is that Lone is Sevastopolskya.

I just want to make sure, because then I'm not sure how I'm going to get my guy over there.

EDIT

Actually never mind I finally tracked it down. Had to search for Kuzminki Station on the game version of the map. As It's not the same layout as on the novel verison of the map that I was using.

I'm sorry my bad.
I'd be willing to go for it.
So this going to go anywhere?
I hope that's okay there with my character. I made alot of Book continuity references in it. As I am way more familiar with the books then I am the game at this point.
Name: Stanislav Kravec
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Home Station: Kitai-Gorod
Occupation: Crimnal/Bandit/Mercenary
Appearance:

Standing a good 6 feet tall, big powerful man, wearing a bullet proof vest over a long sleeved black sweater, black leather gloves he picked up somewhere, dark grey khaki pants and heavy combat boots. The gass mask and shamag he has with him are often dangling about his neck.

Faction: Bandits - Kitai-Gorod syndicates
Weapons:
Baretta 682 Double barrel 20 gauge shot gun (carrying 22 rounds)

Bizon-2-03 SMG aka PP-19 SMG, with red dot sight, and collapsible stock (carries three 64 round helical magazines loaded with 9x18mm Makarov rounds)

Four glass bottle napalm style molotov bombs. Jellied alcohol and gasoline mix in a glass bottle, wax cap over a length of flammable cloth, strip the wax off quickly, light the cloth and throw. Easy to make, with any flammable liquid on hand, cloth and a glass bottle.

Equipment/Items: Utility knife, 2 meters of tarpaulin, a 10 meter long length of hemp rope, a Zippo brand lighter, a pack of metro rolled cigarettes, food and water for atleast three days. Wind-up flashlight (40 seconds of cranking grants a good 10 minutes of light power), 1 filter of perfect quality (10 minutes of use), 2 dirty filters (4 minutes of use)
Abilities:

Bravado - Has a healthy amount of swagger and show in his personality and step. He's one of the big guys on the walk, why should he be worried?

Lucky Map - Got his hands on one of the few remaining "Guides". Maps of the Metro that are so powerful that they can help you find all the really amazing things, or take you on a path through the Metro that is safer then any other path imaginable.

Unforgivable - There are somethings that no one decent can do, in those times, you fo to Kravec. He'll take care of the dirty work for you. It's what he does best.

Background:

A Kitai-Gorod enforcer, in league with the Russian side of the twin stations. Usually tasked to stay at the station, sit the one hundred meter check point. If not doing that and not resting or eatting he will loiter about the station and make sure no one does anything stupid. Like alot of the Kitai-Gorod bandits, he knows he's the big guy on the block, he's the one with the guns and the armoring. He's not afraid, as he often has alot of his friends and allies around.

Even when out alone or with a trading caravan he knows he is better armored and armed then alot of people. Hansa, Reich and Red Line soldiers aside, he's still the cock of the walk.
Hmm, well okay.

Never really liked how easy-mode the games felt in comparison to the gritty reality of the books.

Either way yeah I'm still in.
Question. And the answer will likely decide, for me anyway, if I'd like to stay. Sorry if that sounded high and mighty. Anyway!

Which continuum are you going to use? The one in the games or the on from the books?
