Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

I'll probably go ahead and post for elite tonight or tomorrow. Soon!
I was thinking the boss would be one of the bird people like Geo, and uses a polearm of some sort like him. That way it shows Geo has some skill and the two of them can win with coordination even if they are somewhat out matched.

It would also be a good way to get him some new loot. Maybe they get a really cool mask or a shaolin shovel, etc? I thought it would be cool if they got like a rare drop of some kind.

Ps. That really sucks about your dryer dude I'm so sorry. Those laundromats add up! I hope you can get it fixed or replaced soon!
My dryer is broken too, I know the pain. Gotta run every load like twice now, ugh. Got back today from my camping trip.

Also, I really like the idea of us being isekai'd at the boss fight in this first 'dungeon'. Not sure if you are against that but I had some ideas for this first boss if you want to talk about it at all.

Party

The shovel clambered to the ground, the foe struggling to maintain his grip once Geo pushed it to the side, pushing the bandit's balance further from his center, causing him to stumble more. Doc couldn't help but marvel at the ease with which Geo managed to decimate his foe's attempt. It was a simple thrust, and Geo acted finicky, but Doc vividly remembered struggling against these same attacks. The staff and the spear were not too different as weapons, but Geo wielded his with more skill than the healer could.

Geo's rebuttal was far less impressive, and if their foe were a more dangerous combatant, they would have easily evaded the attack. The bandit seemed to try to avoid the strike, but the broad swipe of the blade knicked him, and in a vital area no less. With his balance off and a heavy-headed shovel currently weighing his movements down, he was simply too unprepared for an attack. Blood trickled from the gash on the side of his neck, deep red and quickly staining into the burlap shirt below. Worse yet, the flow flinched at the damage and yelped in a shockingly life-like manner.

Geo deals 9 damage

Doc did not hesitate; the second his ally made his move, they were rushing in, albeit cautiously. Rather than a frontal assault, Doc hopped to the side opposite where the shovel had landed, darting in. The second Geo began to retract his spear to cover his retreat. An open palm slammed into the bandit's chin, striking with the lower half where the wrist meets the hand. The bandit careened backward before falling, defeated.

you deal 3 damage
each player gained 4 exp!
Each player collects 1 gp!

The victory screen displayed their earnings, a paltry sum from just one foe, further exacerbated by their splitting the loot. Doc hardly felt like he had earned it. The battle would have been a slug fest for him, a back-and-forth as he struggled to gain any sort of opportunities, given the bandit's range. Still, he couldn't help but smile at his ally. If they continued like this, the whole dungeon would be a piece of cake.

The remaining three bandits did not seem to even notice their fallen foe, likely just outside of their pathfinding range. They sat in the dirt or leaned against the barricade, staring into the distance, making very little movement, a reminder of their digitalized minds that contrasted their life-like bodies.

"Want to kite another? Honestly, I think we could take on the whole bunch." Doc said earnestly. Seeing Geo fight had bolstered his confidence just a bit more.

Projects? I'm currently out camping but weirdly have wifi? How about you?
Sounds good. I'm about to disappear for about a week but when I come back I will gladly get a post out for the Elite folks. I would love if everyone else would pick a kiosk to roleplay as too. I assume it will be first come first serve (which includes Elite).

And I would gladly dm our first escapade if everyone is ok with that!
How does this sound:

We do the kiosks and get some info on our new factions.

We go off to do some basic heroics (walking old ladies across the street, stoping a mugging/vandalism, saving cars from trees, etc)

There is an emergency, something small to cause the heroes to the heroes to have to spring into action. One that hopefully alludes to a later adventure. (Bank robbery, gang fighting, maybe a mad but somewhat weak villain, etc)

The heroes go to a training facility to get some further practice working together.

The heroes then are sent to deal with an actual crisis proper.

I'd love to write the ELITE kiosk if no one else wants to. And I'd be willing to run our first little event.
Or just a training facility to test out powers and see who can do what.
Something fun we could is assign one of the faction kiosks to a player who isn't in that faction. That way we can still to with each other.

I wouldn't mind to dm but I am not sure I would keep valiant if that's the way we go. It always feels weird to have a dmpc like that.

Not sure I would want to make us all do really trivial heroics. If it's cool with you all I'd like to send us all on a mission, maybe one that sends us in a few groups?
