Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

Drake's ancient ancestors sealed away the soul of an evil dragon into a knight in their lineage. For generations the powers of the dragon occasionally popped up, but usually only showing up as inhuman resilience or strength. In the early 50s, Drake's grandfather was the first to awaken the full power of the dragon but so too did he become overcome by its presence. He abandoned the family, took on the role of a villian who battled with the likes of thor and doctor strange. His grandfather left behind his family who never knew of his powers or where he went. So when Drake was born, the family was unsuspecting of anything that may happen.

Around 8 Drake began to exhibit the earliest signs of his power. He was stronger than any kid had any right being, though his parents never questioned it much. He never did anything they could inherently refer to as super human. Was he strong, yes, abnormally strong even, but he was a normal eight year old in every other regard.

His mother drilled it into him that as a strong boy he had a responsibility to not abuse his strength and to use it to help others. Drake learned just how destructive he could be when he accidently broke a door off its hinges by slamming it. Since that day he was always careful and courteous around others.

He did, however, find an outlet in the form of football. Here it was ok to get hurt and his strength was venerated rather than concerning. When he got into high school he was quickly put into the varsity team, even as a freshmen. During these years his strength grew even faster, especially as he continues to work out and exercise. This was the height of his life. He had a girlfriend, tons of friends, and he was on a crash course to get a full ride through college through his football career. Unfortunately the talent scouts weren't the only ones watching him.

For the first time in his life Drake's powers became a curse when he got dumped by his long term girlfriend. After 3 years of commitment and love she found another man and left him. Drake was devastated, and as angry as he was he knew better than to let it out. It bottled up inside him and mutated his powers further.

That day, Drake learned another aspect of his powers: fire breath. He couldn't stop it, any time he opened his mouth a flame expelled. It burned down the school. Scales started to form on his arms and legs and if matters weren't worse enough, His grandfather showed up. In the midst of the chaos the old man known as 'Dragoon' appeared. He brought Drake's ex to him, telling him of his origins and his powers. He explained that the covetous nature of the dragon was escaping and he should free it, to take her as his and embrace the draconic powers. Drake refused, and so a fight began.

Drake was outmatched in every way by his grandfather, but the old man had other ideas for this battle. He harnessed that rage and anger and used it to rapidly mutate his powers further. Flight, further strength and durability all came forth in the battle. The school crumbled and ultimately Drake was defeated.

It was fortunate that the x men appeared in time to save the day. Ice man dealt with fires, Shadowcat rescued survivors and the rest of the squad dealt with Dragoon. Seeing he was defeated, the old villain made his escape but not before claiming the fire was him. Even with all his evil intentions in a twisted way he did care about Drake.

The X men saw the inhuman abilities Drake displayed in the fight. They offered him a spot in their school, and he graciously accepted. Unfortunately learning was never his strong suit. Martial arts were a no go, any amount of actual schooling failed on him too. Drake was powerful but never seemed to be able to actualize his potential. As such, they dropped him into the Xtras
Hello new friend. You may not be a Saiyan, but you can pretend to be a Super Saiyan here!
I use to do crazy amounts, like 8-10. These days, I am lucky if I can keep myself in 2 at a time.
I have yet to make a character in written rp that I really vibe with heavily. Maybe one day...
It appreciate the freedom. It sucks to try to flesh out a post that is straight and too the point because it's only two paragraphs. I think my issue stems from that being all someone can muster. Specifically in combat and action scenes a short and sweet post really shines, whereas in I think longer posts really shine in dialogue-heavy replies. Since you can describe every bit of body language, every bit of tone, etc
Something melancholic. That feels empty and fills me with yearning

There was far less of a reaction to the brutal demise of the enemy NPC from Doc. They looked at the falling foe with apathy, and their facial expression hardly changed when loot notice flashed onto the screen before them. They seemed equally unempathetic to the tension in Geos voice when he tried to play it cool. Doc was simply unaware of his concerns, the lack of facial expressions visible to the tired hunter certainly did not help. They had spent hours punching their way through these grunts, hearing them express their pain, bloodying noses and bruising cheeks. If anything Geo’s bloodier method of taking out enemies was mercy.

Doc tried to match the excitement his ally had over their loot but deep down inside he was frustrated. The battle went much quicker and smoother than if he had done it himself, but now they were splitting the exp and loot.
“Yeah, maybe you're right. I might even be able to get a new staff after this dungeon… stave? Whatever” he said with a forced chuckle.

Once more Geo began to swing his spear about, preparing to kite in another one of these peons. This one pulled out a hatchet, much like the random one they had aggroed before they showed up here. Similar to that foe, this one charged with shocking tenacity. Unlike the more cautious spear man’s defensive approach, this one at least at Geo once he got close. He spear came flying at his shoulder, but he tucked himself in and let the blade narrowly nick him, forming a thin gash that began to leak a deep crimson ooze of blood.

Beggar bandit takes 5 damage!

Unfortunately, Geo was now on the defensive. The axeman had closed the gap and cleared the range of the spear. His hatchet was fast and short, and he swung it wildly at Geo. Clearly an untrained fighter relying on recklessness and tenacity.

Doc stepped around them hastily, trying to circle their foe. Without a weapon of his own and without any armor, they weren't much help in a fight like this. Still, if they could get behind the enemy, then they’d be able to strike hard and fast. Geo just needed to hold out until then. Once in position, Doc rushed in and grabbed the nappy hair of the beggar, pulling him away fast, causing them to lose their balance and yelp in pain.

“Get him, quick!” Doc called out.
