Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

These have all been great. I think my goofiest moments have been in table top sessions too. Here are two of my favorites. Spoilers ahead for Lost mines of Phandelver... sorta I guess? Who cares.

During a game of Lost Mines of Phandelver, we had a kid playing. Your typical squeaker, but really respectful and nice. He was playing a halfling rogue who had a backstory involving the red brands. We of course, end up sneaking our way into the red brand's hideout but we eventually get caught.

We are all failing to hide or preparing to fight but then, the kid speaks up quickly.
"It's Glass Staff's birthday."

The bandits pause, and he has to roll a deception check that he succeeds with flying colors.

We end up convincing these guys to go out and buy some gifts with us and help us throw a surprise party for the glass staff, where we get the drop on him and knock the wizard out turn one. It was legendary.

My other story is for a Starfinder game I was running. The group was helping a frog species liberate itself. Part of their mission was to destroy a massive oil drilling operation. Thus ensued a very spy movie esque plan to sneak it, during which the party subdued a gaurd and one of the players disguised themself as him.

They proceeded to use this disguise to get to the security room to shut off the Cameras. They get a couple fails on small lies and persuasion checks and one of the gaurds gets suspicion. He says that the person being impersonated never leaves their post and a little lapse in judgment in my mind ended with me saying, "he doesn't even take bathroom breaks, I've seen it".

The player obviously leaps on that, using it to shift the conversation away from them. Ended up buying time for the rest of the party to get past the cameras.
Oh to be strolling in overgrown fields that used to be parking lots, meeting weird societies that carved a place out in the end of the world.

The sky was grey, the grass was yellow, and the wind was howling, warning him of the storm that was coming. He sat there, soaking in the cold front blasting over him, sitting on a swing that use to bring him so much joy as a kid. Now he tainted that innocent adoration with cigarette smoke and a forty. A new kind of pain tore at his heart as he felt himself making another mistake and not stopping himself. The momentum was already in motion, and he was no immovable object.

Twenty-three years in this town, that's how long he had lived here. Sixteen years of strolling past this swing, being reminded with every step of every memory he had worked to build in this town. Now it was all gone, ripped him so violently. He couldn't stop the thoughts from swarming. All his friends, all the safe places where going to be gone soon.

A thunderbolt pierced the silence in the playground. It lit up the sky so brightly that it felt blinding. Lightning had struck a few meters from him. The thunder roared so loud it shook him to his core. The young man stood up, alarmed by this sudden reminder of his mortality. A reminder of the present. He gripped the bottle tightly as he ruminated on this new addition of fear. Fear turned to anger when fused with the lingering nostalgia of what would no longer be his. He tossed the bottle with all his might and screamed into the sky.

I also would like to know this, as it really helps set up for character interactions. If you'd like, I could make a short description in my own time.
Yeah fair enough. I will work on that soon but it's sad to see it's just us
