Anubis is not one to save people
He's...more of a group saver. He likes watching and if humanity as a whole becomes endangered he will intervene.
But other then that he comforts by being cryptic as all heck and somehow less comforting then the ghost of Christmas future
And it's okay. I get you've got a plan...so I'm good.

The jackal had been attracted to a noise. Large ears rotate and he took off. Being about the size of a German Shepard with the running speeds of a grey hound had him at the noise quickly. Not needing to stop for a break meant he was there in a completely different area. Positioning himself in a bush with nothing but a pair of glowing blue eyes visible, the God of death watched. He remained there until the attacker said something curious. Large ears fwip forward and the jackal trots out to the mortal. The jackal studies the mortal for a moment, eyes glowing brighter before he tilted his head. "You have been weighed. You have been judged. And you...are not meant to join me yet." the canine sat and almost seemed to try to be comforting. "Even gods bleed" the jackal then stood and trotted into a hiding spot.
Cal was still unconscious while his body did its work healing him. It was found that any pain killers were metabolized too quickly and were useless. Luckily he didn't need invasive surgery. He was heavily bandaged and had a blanket covering him. Visitors were allowed in now.

Cal was very much unconscious. His suit had been damaged and his face held bruising. One eye was blackened and a trail of blood was visible from his mouth. His body was healing, but he had a lot of damage to heal. He did not look fantastic, but thanks to being found and speed healing he would live.

Anubis found himself in a coffee shop near the compound. He watched the choas and anger from the humans and sipped his coffee. It had been relatively calm in this part of the realm for some time and he had enjoyed watching the 'superheroes' keep it calm. It was ever so fascinating to him...humans have made leaps and bounds through such a small amount of time. They were like small children to him. He took a long swallow and looked at the mug. Coffee was one of his favorites. Sure wine was good, but it didn't hold the warmth coffee did. With a small inhale Anubis let himself become Alec...at least more so then he was already. Alec stood and tipped the shop before smiling and walking outside.
Cupid seemed trapped in his own mind with his thoughts. Thoughts of a time long passed. He looked outside and tilted his head. He let himself then mourn the passing of shiver and lightly created an illusion of her. She was see through, but smiling and happy looking. "I will remember you darling. Rest well" his hand became a fist he held over his heart before bowing his head. An odd motion, but one of rememberance.
