Background/Upbringing:
Traherne was born to a family known for their link to nature. The noble house is honorable and trustworthy with Traherne being no exception. As a boy it was thought that he were mute for how silent he was, but rather he seemed to be observing everything around him. This lead to the idea that he was wise beyond his years. That is until he decided to be more of a druid then a knight.
While his family was close to nature not many decided to go the route of the druid, rather they put forth their skills in soley knighthood. FInding it an honorable thing to do. Being a druid meant being weaker, more prone to death and less likely to be able to live a long enough life for those that were served. Safe to say...his parents were disapproving and the young Traherne was shipped off to live with his uncle who had also gone the route of nature.
As Traherne became older he found that while he was more than pleased with the lack of human deaths on his hands, he wanted to serve more of a purpose. He returned to his parents...mainly his father and spoke to him about utilizing both the druidic nature and being a knight. His father being, rather skeptical, put his son through a test. A tournament, which being that Traherne wore cloth armor was thought that it would be difficult. Instead of dying or being as wounded as his father thought Traherne came out of the tournament with only one facial scar and the proud knowledge that he had proved himself.
From that point on, Traherne developed the reputation of being fascinating to watch on the field and that he was one who would do the best for situations.
To add to it Traherne is the apprentance of Merlin. He is being trained to replace that wizard but being a druid means he's not quite ready. It is hoped that with time, curiosity will replace faith and he will become a wizard fit to fill the place of Merlin.
