SpeciesGenderAgeAppearance Standing at 5"6', Sildarg is very spindly and lithe. Her eyes are crimson red, and she tends to wear her hair loose down to one side of her head. Sildarg generally dresses to cover her entire body. Jedi robes, large shirts and jackets, or a hood over her head are what she wears almost exclusively. Other than the mechanical left arm she has, what stands out about her appearance the most is the electrical scar running up the side up Sildarg's neck and face. She tells people she got it from a broken power capacitor, but she really got it from a day when her old Sith master was particularly unhappy with her attitude, after he knocked a training sword out of her hands with a Makashi technique.
Sildarg is aggressive and bitter. She responds to her problems with bared fangs, and doesn't back down when someone tries to pick a fight with her. Sildarg often doesn't realize that she's slipping into the more negative side of her mind, but when she does, she tries her best to control herself. Anger is something that she struggles with, things get under her skin easier than most people, and she has a harder time letting things go as a result. Despite her best efforts to let go of anger, she still occasionally snaps at people with more bite than she really intended, and is quick to apologize for it. Sildarg shows a great deal of potential in her training, she always does her best to learn what her masters teach. There are days when Sildarg has little impulse control, but also days when she is very much at peace with herself. These days come and go at random, and it isn't always clear that Sildarg is doing the best she can. When it is, Sildarg tends to fly under the radar. Otherwise, everyone knows that she's having a bad day.
Sildarg always makes a point of not showing vulnerability, even around her masters, or when she fails during training. She fears failing or disappointing the people with authority over her, having spent most of her life being punished for failure with pain. Sildarg often seems skittish on on high alert, even when she's having one of her better days. She can't relax or even sleep peacefully at night until she knows she's the only one left awake, because she's always nervous that someone will sneak up on her when she least expects it. This, paired with the fact that Sildarg comes from a place she fears the Jedi would kill her for, means that Sildarg is slow to trust anyone unless she has a good reason, or actively wants to. Despite her flaws, Sildarg's teachers know she tries her best, and genuinely wants to become a Jedi someday. Even though she struggles where others flourish, Sildarg shows compassion and mercy to those who can't protect themselves. After all, she was just like them once. Her gentle nature is rare, but she acts on the impulse to help people with as much sincerity as she would the impulse to lash out and hurt someone. It is often difficult for her to fight back against the darkness in her heart, but Sildarg isn't going to simply quit and let it take her over for good.

- Tech Knowledge: Sildarg knows her way around machines. She could hack just about any common droid put in front of her, or repair broken landspeeders if she needed. It comes in handy when you have a metal arm. She couldn’t repair anything that flies, or anything useful as a weapon other than a lightsaber, but your favorite toaster won’t fall into disrepair around her.
- Haphazard Cooking: Have you ever wondered how someone can cook meat with droid oil? You wouldn't consider that edible, but Sildarg can make it so. She's resourceful like that. Granted, the type of food she’s used to cooking is utterly abominable and would make a Sarlacc vomit, but it’s edible at the very least.
- Slow Learner: Learning new things doesn’t come easily for Sildarg. One thing she often struggles with in particular is Force training. She does have potential to learn, but it takes her much longer to learn the Jedi’s techniques than most. This also extends to the other common principles of the Jedi, such as patience and keeping the peace, despite her effort.
- Regular Cyborg Things: Robotic arms aren’t made special by the Force. Sildarg’s is made with a bare-minimum skeletal design. There is a metal shell around it that protects the internal wires and mechanism, but it’s made of ordinary iron and steel parts that Sildarg found from busted droids. A lightsaber, or a metal projectile from a decent kinetic gun could tear it apart without any effort, and then she’d only have one arm.
- Hatred: Having been raised by the Sith and trained by their cruelest masters, Sildarg is familiar with hate. She can't use this Force ability willingly, and would have to be under extreme duress to pull it off. Normally, having this kind of potential with the Force would be a good sign, but Sildarg doesn't control it. She can only hold it back and bury it before it gets the better of her. When her hatred is released, it's like she becomes a different person. It consumes her, and she can't stop herself from unleashing hell on whoever is in the way, no matter who they are. Such a thing would immediately out her as a Sith, were it to happen.
Sildarg’s earlier memories are from her time spent on the planet called Moraband. Before the Clone Wars, it was called Korriban. The holy land of the Sith, the Valley of the Dark Lords, and the place where Sildarg learned to wield the Force. A Sith Inquisitor by the name of Hadris traveled to the dead planet to create a Sith academy. Sildarg was one of Hadris’ students, along with a handful of other children raised in total isolation from the entire galaxy. From birth, she was raised to be an instrument or dark power, taught to weaponize her emotions and ambitions, and punished gravely for any mistake she made. Weakness was burned out like a plague.
Inquisitor Hadris was a cruel master. He enjoyed correcting what mistakes his students made with physical pain. Missteps during lightsaber training were punished with slashes across the arms, disrespect was met with electrocution through the Force. After a day of training, he would decide if students were allowed to eat based on how well they performed. Sometimes he would starve them just to teach them that nothing was granted freely, everything was earned. Hadris would tell his famished students that if anyone could best him before or after training, then they could have all the food they wanted. No one ever landed a scratch on him. They were too afraid to attack him.
Some of Hadris’ students took to his training well. The lessons cemented in their minds with ease, and he grew quite pleased with how his new academy was turning out. He had successfully molded a few of his students into what they needed to become in order to be proper Sith one day. Sildarg was not among his chosen few. She was one of the disappointments in the group, and often snuck out the wander the valley in what could’ve been conflated with peace. The surface of Korriban was always dead silent, except for the occasional whisper of a dead Sith or two that Sildarg swore she only imagined. Whenever she looked up at the sky, Sildarg wondered what could’ve been out there. Was there more to life than just being some cruel old man’s punching bad? Did people know there was an academy here? The cold desert nights were her escape. Sildarg even found faint scraps of old Sith technology to play with in her spare time.
Over the years, Sildarg learned to tolerate Hadris’ teachings. She became more proficient with a lightsaber, more aggressive in her use of the Force, and less trusting of her fellow students. Sildarg grew to hate everyone around her, she could only see spite and selfishness when she looked at them. Most of all, she hated the Inquisitor. She wanted to tear his body to shreds, to watch him scream and beg for mercy like she and others had for years. She could never bring herself to take a chance on Hadris, though, as others and tried before and were never the same afterwards. Sildarg had never impressed Hadris, so he would’ve been much harsher on her. She wouldn't have been the first student he electrocuted to death.
One day, Sildarg and the other students were told that their training was nearly over. They were ready to make the next step in their journey as Sith. Hadris revealed three lightsabers to the group, of which there were seven. He then informed his students that most of them had disappointed his from day one. Hadris told them that they were all still weak and could never amount to anything unless they took initiative. Hadris wanted them to kill each other to prove their worth. This terrified Sildarg. She knew she was the weak link, and that she would be murdered without hesitation. The others rushed to grab the lightsabers, and before Sildarg knew it, one of Hadris’s apprentices had already been ran through.
Sildarg wanted to run, but something bubbled up inside of her. Why did Hadris think she was weak? What could he possibly know about her, she asked herself. Her blood started to boil as by the time two others fell, and the final straw was when someone swung a lightsaber at her. Sildarg felt the blade incinerate bone and muscle, her arm had been severed. She fell to the floor screaming in pain, there were only three of Hadris’s apprentices standing over her. Each armed with a red lightsaber, while Hadris only smiled and praised them. Tears streamed from Sildarg’s eyes, and when she looked up at the people she once tried to befriend, Sildarg was no longer present. All the pain and rage she bottled up for her entire life was unleashed on the four of them.
Hadris’ apprentices could feel the hatred ripple outward from Sildarg like water. It filled the air and washed over their skin, turning their triumphant attitudes into fear. The room simply felt wrong to them. One of the apprentices dropped his lightsaber, paralyzed by terror. Another tried to finish Sildarg off, but she had sprung upwards from the floor and gouged out his throat with her fingernails. The third ran for his life. As one of them bled out, she picked up his lightsaber and butchered the last one standing like he was a piece of meat. By the time she was done with him, his leg was in three different pieces, he had lost a third of his rib cage, and his head was bisected in a lopsided attempt at decapitation. All while Hadris watched. He was surprised, but impressed.
“Well done, my apprentice.” Hadris praised her, while that aura of dark rage still filled the academy. He congratulated her for finding her true potential, and sat a hand on her remaining shoulder. That was his last mistake. Sildarg simply tilted the lightsaber in her hand towards him and activated it. In his pride, Hadris failed to see that her hatred was for him, and him alone. She speared him through the heart and watched him bleed to death. By the time Sildarg finally came to her senses, the gravity of what she did had begun to set in. She had just butchered everyone in the academy, and as far as she knew, that made her the only living thing on this planet.
She ran, and found Hadris’s ship sitting in the sand. It was old, and hadn’t been moved from that spot in years, but after playing with the controls for a few minutes, she found out how to lift it off the ground. As she did, Sildarg could see someone waving at her from the ground, trying to get her to land. It was the apprentice she didn’t kill. Sildarg ignored him, and left him to whatever fate the desert of Korriban would have for him. After Sildarg broke the atmosphere, she flew in a straight line. She didn’t know where she’d go, but all she could think about was how it was all over. For the first time in her life, she was alone without anyone watching her for signs of weakness. Sildarg broke down into tears while the ship flew forward. She felt like a knife had finally been pulled out of her back after bleeding for so long.
Days passed, and Sildarg felt like she’d starve to death in the ship. The stump that used to be her arm hadn’t stopped burning with pain, and she had passed nothing but asteroids. In a fit of anger, Sildarg smashed her lightsaber against the dashboard of the ship, and accidentally discovered the existence of lightspeed. The stars began to blur around her, and suddenly she was flying faster than she thought possible. As useful as this discovery was, the controls were smoking. Seconds later, the ship tumbled out of FTL like a rock tumbled down a hill. Sildarg did her best to stabilize the ship with one hand, but she inevitably crash-landed on a nearby planet: Tatooine.
It was about as steep a crash as she could’ve hoped for, but the ship was destroyed for good. Sildarg climbed out of the smoking wreckage without her new lightsaber- She destroyed it when she learned about lightspeed travel. The desert sun felt familiar to her, but Tatooine’s climate was much warmer. Sildarg wandered the desert for hours, running on fumes by the time she found Bestine, the capital city. After using the Force to steal some food, and collecting her thoughts, Sildarg knew she had to do something different. This was her chance to move on from the Sith. After a few days of searching, Sildarg found work as a mechanic’s assistant. The human she worked for was suspicious of a one-armed Dathomirian in the Outer Rim, but she proved to be crafty and earned her money just fine. She even built herself a new arm out of some scrapped droids after she got used to working with one hand.
Months after Sildarg thought her life had officially changed for good, a Jedi Knight came to Bestine, scouting for Force-sensitive individuals to train. Sildarg happened to be the first one this Knight looked for. Sildarg hadn’t exactly sworn off using the Force since she fled from Korriban, and it wasn’t entirely impossible that one or two customers caught objects floating from time to time. It was only a matter of time until someone realized something was suspicious about Sildarg. Instead of attacking her, though, the Knight offered her a chance to use her gifts for a better cause, as a Jedi herself. The idea of being among so many Force-users and combat-skilled people in general scared Sildarg, but if she was being honest with herself, Bestine wasn’t very pleasant. She often caught herself in arguments with some disgruntled customer or her boss. Sildarg thought about it, and told the Knight she’d get ready to leave by the next day. She packed all of her things, including a few tools she “borrowed” from the mechanic shop, and set out for the planet D’Qar once she met up with the Knight.
She just hopes that this isn’t the worst decision she could’ve made, and that her past won’t catch up with her.
