I go by Blue, Demon or BD. Or even Hey You if it's clear enough that you're talking to me. XD I prefer Blue or Blue Demon. And no, I didn't choose "Blue" because I'm sad. It's my favorite color. (And now you know.)

Also, I just discovered DMC and now I'm Dante trash.
I know I mentioned I was up for connections with Ben Reeves(New York) and Racheli Desdemona (Lost Haven) which all I need is a pm then we can chatter about it without literally having it get lost in the OoC.
I don't remember this at all. D: I should get on that when I get back to a computer and not on my phone.
You know guys I never received a yea or nay on moving my CS over since I pointed out they were S2 only. Anyways
@Blue Demon If anything making these connections now would be ideal since there's a lapse. Brainstorming arc ideas and approaching others who are waiting for Season 2.
Connections would be ideal. I've tried it a few times. Lets see if anything happens this time around XD
Chris: Chris is going to be showing up at Lost Haven just as season 2 begins because of what happened here in season 1. (And that's all I got. I figured if worse came to worse I'd just bumble my way through life the RP.)
Maven: Since I've been told I'm not allowed to set up my own City she's going to be moving into another one. XD At which point she would have established a small base over the gap between S1 and S2 and at the beginning of S2 she's ready to make her move. I'm still not sure what City she'll be trying to take over except for that it wont be Lost Haven. Because she's not touching that crazy with a 100ft pole. Also, Broker had a hand in Maven's life. It was more of the subtle variety. I'd have to go back and find @Hellis' post to remember just what sort of hand he had other then he pushed her towards being full on evil. Unless he remembers but it's been a while.
Chris is typically a very happy person. She likes to look on the bright side of things. Her first instinct was to see the good in people. Not the bad. Nor did she like to be a serial doubter. However that doesn't meant that Chris is happy all the time. She has her ups and downs like anyone else. She's stuck in a dead-end job that she doesn't enjoy very much. It doesn't pay enough but she can't find another one. She's also just come out of a long term relationship that ended badly. But she's trying her best not to let those things hold her down.
Chris loves the finer things in life. She likes designer clothes and accessories. Whenever she can afford it she buys the better quality things. She also loves spending time outdoors. Some of her favorite pastimes are outdoor sports such as Skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. She also loves to go fishing with her family during summer vacations.
Chris is a very moral person. She's not religious like her mother. She's more agnostic like her father. She doesn't disbelieve but doesn't believe in an all knowing God. Or any deities for that matter. Though that's never stopped her from deciding on her own moral code.
Chris is also very much a family oriented person. She loves her parents and her siblings. One day she hopes to start a family of her own. But she hasn't had much luck in that department.
Uniform/costume:
Chris repurposed some of her skiing body armor into her crime fighting uniform. The top and bottom doesn't quite match, since it's made to be worn under other clothing such as jackets and ski pants. The steel toed boots she bought just for the purpose of crime fighting. One day she hopes to be able to make her slapdash uniform into something cooler looking, but she just doesn't have the sewing skills or the courage to ask someone to do it for her.
Origin Info/Details:
Chris is the youngest of four children. She has three older siblings. She has two older brothers and one older sister. Her eldest sibling, Mark, is seven years older than her. Chris and her siblings were raised Catholic like their mother. They were baptized and christened. Devon is the only child who still practices. As far as Chris knows Mark is atheist and a firm disbeliever. And Whitney is a Holiday only observer. She only goes to church on the two major holidays. As for herself she's agnostic. She doesn't have a problem with religion. She just doesn't believe in God or any other deities.
As a young girl growing up Chris was spoiled being the youngest. She was able to get away with most everything. Luckily for her parents she seemed to come pre-installed with a fierce sense of right and wrong. Even as a little girl she found it hard to lie or to deceive her family. A trait that made her older siblings very protective of her. And surprisingly the only thing that Chris has misused. When she was young, very young, Chris found out about her particular ability to turn into stone.
Chris remembers the day vividly still. She had been playing outside and had fallen out of tree. She wasn't supposed to be climbing the big oak in back, but she had done it anyways. But she had climbed too high and lost her balance. She should have been seriously injured or dead. Instead she was fine. She remembered watching as grey covered her body. She remembers the child sized hole in the ground. She remembers the horror she felt as the grey retreated leaving her normal. But she wasn't normal.
Chris knew from all the days at church that people with powers were bad. God didn't give people powers like she had. So she kept them a secret because she didn't want to be a bad person. As Chris grew up she realized however that her powers weren't evil. They just were. It was up to her to use them for good or evil. Of course by that time she had come to the realization she was a teenager and far more interested in sex and dating than she was in her powers. Those were just annoying and something to keep secret. Boys and girls on the other hand...
Chris got good grades in High School despite the fact she spent most of her time chasing tail. At the age of eighteen she was accepted into a local college. She ended up dropping out after her first year much to her family's disappointment. But school just wasn't for her. She ended up working as a receptionist at a local furnace repair store. There she stayed for the next few years. She became very proficient at her job, but she wasn't happy. However despite that she was unable to find another job that would make her happy. Everything just kind of went down hill from there. She was dumped by her girlfriend, Lily, of three years. It was because of Chris' "lack of ambition".
The accusation hit Chris hard and knocked her into a depression. The dark mindset threatened to devour her whole and leave a stranger in it's wake. Until Chris began to follow the news coming out of New Haven. The first time she had watched the news from Lost Haven was about an event called D-Day where heroes, super powered people, saved the world from demons. After that there were news stories about those heroes as they foiled crime waves, robberies, anything.
And then the entire world was dragged into it when a cosmic entity tried to devour the Earth. Chris remembered huddling in her apartment with Lily thinking they were going to die. That they couldn't possibly survive. But they did. Thanks to those heroes in Lost Haven. Shortly after Lily had dumped Chris. All Chris had wanted was for the two to be safe.
Beer bottle in hand Chris found herself back watching the news weeks later. A mad scientist was trying to turn the world into metahumans. Chris had snorted at the screen dismissively. The man was a fool. There were metahumans here already. They were just like Chris. Deadend bums. No ambition. No drive. But she could be like those heroes. She could have drive. She used to. Back when she was young she wanted to save the world.
The idea slowly took hold and soon it became a goal. Chris cobbled together some old skiing gear and set it aside. She even went so far as to move to Lost Haven. Then finally, somehow, the courage to step out her door and become something set in.
Hero Type:
Brick/Muscle / Shape Shifter
Power Level:
City Level
Powers:
Gargoyle Form
Chris has the ability to turn herself into stone at will.
Stone skin
When Chris transforms into stone she literally changes her skin into stone. This means her innards are still normal and not stone. When she talks about her ability she says she turns into stone, but that's not completely accurate.
Stone Manipulation
Chris can take stone from existing statues or formations and add it to her body while she's in her Gargoyle form. She's able to dictate where it goes and what shape it will take. (See bullet point below)
Morphing capabilities
While stone Chris can add more stone onto herself and use that stone to change her appearance. This can happen either by adding stone items such as arms, wings, armaments, etc. Or by making the stone make her look like someone else. Another way to think of it is that the new stone acts as a sort of second layer that she can manipulate at will within about a three to five foot radius (The radius is kind of malleable. EX: If she makes herself wings that can extend up to ten feet on each side she can maintain them even though they technically extend outside her radius. However in order to do so she'd have to sacrifice all her other additional stone to just concentrate on the wings.
Increased Strength
While in her Gargoyle form Chris' strength is increased. She hasn't tested her upper limits but it appears to be about twice the normal human capacity. She can lift cars and hit hard enough to crack concrete.
Increased resistance to injury
Chris can take a lot more damage than normal people while as Gargoyle. She's far more resistant to physical attacks and some magical attacks. However due to her squishy innards, anything that can pierce her stone skin is just as dangerous to her and normal humans. Also Chris doesn't have any healing factor. If she gets damaged, the damage remains even when she returns to her human form. She cannot use other stone to repair damage done. She can give the illusion it does (but it really doesn't do anything for her). EG: Chris loses an arm, she can make herself a new one, but when she drops the stone she still is missing an arm.

Increased resistance to injury
Chris doesn't have any healing factor as Gargoyle. It All Comes Tumbling Down
Something That Could Be
Chris could feel a sharp pain erupt in her chest. She staggered back a foot or two and looked down in horror. Bright red blood was leaking through a small hole in her chest. It was like the stone wasn't even there. Chris tried to gulp in a breath but failed. Her grey stone eyes widened as stone crumbled around her.
Away went her disguise. Away with her stone mace. Away went her fake face. Away went her armor of stone. All crumbled on the ground. Until all that was left was Christine. Her stone skin slowly disappeared back into her. As it receded color returned to her slight form. Her skin turned brown. Her eyes black. Her naturally curly hair began to move in the wind.
Knees hit the ground. Her body twisted awkwardly as stone got in the way. She ended up sprawled on top of jagged shards of it. Stone that had once protected her now causing her more pain. Chris's eyes began to flutter closed but she forced them open as foot steps moved closer. She tried to turn her head to look but failed.
A boot nudged her over and sky rushed into view. The villain she had been fighting leaned over her. The woman's long blond hair draped around her face like a halo. Her left eye was blackened but other than that the woman was beautiful.
"Just a little girl." The villainess murmured looking down at Chris. She knelt down gracefully next to the fallen hero. The woman shouldered the gun that had been used to kill Chris and placed it on the ground.
"Just a girl." The woman repeated. She brushed a feminine hand over Chris's face and looked almost in shock at the fact she had wiped away tears.
Chris's entire body was screaming for breath. For air. For the pain to go away. But there was no relief. Not until her vision began to darken. The darkness was soft and painless. Chris found it easy to embrace it. Far easier than anything in her life had been. The last thing she heard as she spiraled down into death was the villainess.
"I'm sorry."
Character you have created:
Ginny White
Alias:
Maven
Speech Color:
White, 000000
Character Alignment:
Chaotic Evil
Identity:
Secret
Character Personality:
Ginny can only be described as a split personality. She doesn't suffer from a psychotic break. Instead it stems from her two lives she lives. The first is with her friends and co-workers. To them she is a very nice happy, talkative person. She likes to be around people and go out to dinner or to just get coffee. She's very sociable and strikes up friendships very quickly. The only negative thing you'll hear from friends or co-workers is that Ginny is a very busy person.
Her personality as Maven is very different from her effusive and charming side. She is foremost a very cold woman. She doesn't smile, voice platitudes or even engage in physical contact. She distances herself from everyone. She actively distrusts everyone and makes them jump through hoops to even earn a small crumb. Apart from a job well done the only other thing that gives Ginny pleasure is chaos. She often messes with people just to see the outcome of her actions. The chaos isn't regulated to just her minions. She also messes with the clients. She'll sell information to multiple people without regards of alignment, be they good or evil, she doesn't care. Sometimes for kicks and giggles she'll give information to both the heroes and the villains just because. She'll probably one day watch the world burn because she was bored. And she's okay with that.
She is extremely hard working in both her personalities and will never cut corners. She rarely delegates anything. It's a control thing. In both aspects she loves money. She likes the finer things in life and you'll never see her in blue-jeans. She's always dressed up. But she's never overdressed or not classy. Ginny can pull off a lot.
Uniform/costume:
N/A
Origin Info/Details:
Ginny's mother and father were poor. Not poor, poor but pour enough there was never any extra money. What was left over from frivolous spending went to booze or drugs. Needless to say home life was no life for little Ginny. Ginny spent most of her time at after school activities or at friend's house. Still there was a large disconnect between Ginny and her friends. She just really didn't bond with them on an emotional level. Whether it was from neglect at home or that she was far smarter than everyone she knew it would take a psychologist to determine that.
By the age of fourteen Ginny was accepted in Harvard on a full ride scholarship. She was accepted into the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program. At the age of fifteen she was able to be emancipated from her parents. At the same time she changed her surname legally to White. As in she was white-washing her past away. By the time she was seventeen she graduated with a MD degree. By the time she was eighteen she was accepted onto Axell Corporation's research division.
Meanwhile Ginny was already laying the foundations for her organization she named The Network. It started off with students she meet at Harvard. She would talk them into small things for her. All the while pretending she was working for someone else. Gradually the waters became muddled and while The Network new Ginny had been there from the beginning, no one suspected the young girl was the mastermind. Since Axell Corp. was also located in Massachusetts there was no need to shift her organization. Instead she began burying it in the seedy underworld. By the time Ginny was twenty it was well known that for a hefty price Maven could get you any information you desired.
Ginny's upward movement hit a snag when she turned twenty-two. She was arrested for embezzlement for company funds. Ironically it was by a dirty DA who worked for The Network. He had been making a play against Maven, not really realizing who he had moved against. Ginny cleared herself of the false charges and returned to work the next year. The DA was directly quietly to move and was never seen from again. He wasn't the last who tried to over throw Maven but he was perhaps the only one who came close even if it was from sheer dumb luck.
Over the years both The Network and Axell Corp grew. Axell grew into a world wide pharmaceutical company. Ginny now heads up the research division and only reports to the board. The Network is large enough now that Ginny is making moves to expand it into other states and maybe even overseas.
Hero Type:
Psychic

Powers:
Psychometry (ESP)
Whenever Ginny touches and person or object she can get a "reading" off of it. For example, if Ginny touches a door knob and concentrates, she can see the last couple of people who also touched the door knob and know when they did so. However not all readings are clear. The older the object is, the easier it is to get a reading. If there was a traumatic event attached to the object, the easier it would be to see it. The newer the object is, the harder. People are extremely hard and most readings are nonsensical. Ginny cannot get readings off charred objects (if nothing has touched it after the burning) or liquids or gases.
Eidetic Memory
Once Ginny has seen/read/smelled/heard/tasted something once, she'll never forget it. However it's not all active recall. She can "forget" things if she doesn't consciously think about everything pertaining to the subject/issue.

Idk about you but writing a little here and there with a brand new character helps a lot to get a feel for 'em. Then when Season 2 does officially kick off you'll be that much more prepared with full steam.
:D
Thanks for the advice. I'm 100% not worried about Maven. This'll be the 3rd time I've taken her for a spin. I have a certain fondness for my evil villainess. On the other hand I'd love to do what Fallenreaper is doing and have inserts of events that happened between the seasonal gap with Chris. Because she needs the love. :D
I, myself, am doing memories with another player between Benjamin and her PC Fenrir. They will end up being connected before the start of S2, which allows me room to determine their relationship and as they progress ICly, those memories will be inserted along the way.
Courtney is your average teen. She's five foot seven. She's skinny and completely flat (front and back), but not anorexic skinny. She has long blond hair which tends to curl, much to her dismay, so she straightens it every morning. She has a fair complexion and blue eyes. She has some muscles but not much at this point. What she has has been developed over the year she has been solo superheroing.
Powers/Skills:
Courtney has no superpowers. However the Cosmic Staff grants Courtney powers:
Rapid flight
Levitation of objects
Energy manipulation
The staff can also:
Absorb stellar energy, which can then be manipulated into defensive force fields, and offensive energy blasts of incredible power.
Courtney can use both powers at once to protect herself from atmospheric damage in high velocity flight
Receive Courtney's mental commands from a distance
Attune itself to the user. It is difficult to quickly change the staff's affiliation.
Courtney also has the Cosmic Converter Belt which gives Courtney the following powers:
Enhanced Strength
Enhanced Agility
Enhanced Speed
Enhanced Stamina
Shooting Stars: A move where Courtney can call forth light forms which disrupt electric devices and organic nervous systems.
The Converter Belt is attuned to the aura of the wielder much like the Cosmic Staff.
Courtney also has some training for fighting but not much. She currently taking Kickboxing and getting tutored by Pat.
Backstory:
Courtney was very much your average teenage girl in Los Angeles. So average that her family didn't get along. Watching your parents fight was never something she wanted. Nor did she like the divorce. It had been painfully obvious that it was going to happen but the young girl had held out impossible hope against all odds. Hope had nothing against her father, Sam, walking out on them. The months after that were hard on both Courtney and her mother, Barbara. Mainly on her mother who had to struggle to get Courtney's deadbeat father to sign the divorce.
The whole of Courtney's young teen years were the worst. Her grades slipped and quite frankly she was nearly flunking out of high school. It was miserable. Without her best friends she never would have made it. Her friends were highly supportive and kept her afloat more times than Courtney could count. Her safety net. Then after the whole divorce thing was over things were looking up. Courtney and her mother were spending time together again. Time that wasn't marred by the absence of her father. Courtney was even beginning to do better in school.
Then Pat Dugan walked into Courtney's life. At first he was just another guy that her mother was psudo-dating. Courtney figured he'd go away like the rest of the losers. After all the two of them were doing just fine. But Pat continued to bulldoze his way into their lives. He pushed through barely rebuilt walls and his mother was okay with it. Courtney was annoyed by the interloper and her grades began to slip again. This time her friends weren't as supportive of her anger issues or her complaining. She ended up falling into a bad crowd and things continued to fall downhill.
The bottom of said hill soon arrived when her mother and Pat announced that they were getting married. And the joys didn't end there. Not only was she going to get a step-father they were moving to Nebraska! It was just completely unfair. Where the hell was Nebraska anyways? It didn't even sound like somewhere she wanted to live.
Courtney's resentment of Pat continued to grow in Blue Valley, Nebraska. She had a hard time making friends and was generally aloof in school. Though she did befriend Mary and Josh nearly immediately despite her best efforts to the contrary. Things continued in this vein for a while until one day when she was staying home sick from school. Pat and her mother were off working and she had free run of the house (Pat's house). Curiosity got the better of the teen and she ended up in the attic pawing through Pat's old stuff.
In one trunk she found a really strange belt and a few other items. It was only after a bit of quick research she discovered Pat used to be Stripesy, a adult sidekick to a teen hero. The only one in history! Quickly Courtney realized with this stuff she could get back at Pat and mock him! Over the next week she cobbled together a make-shift costume, sparing no (hilarious) expense. When it was finished Courtney showed off the costume at the local Independence Day event.
And once again Courtney's streak for bad things struck again. It was only after Pat turned red in the face at her mockery and he began to chastise her that the screaming began. Blue Valley might not have been hopping in the way LA was but apparently not even Nebraska was exempt from random (or not so random) super-villain attacks. It was the nefarious Dragon King. (Side note: Apparently a Japanese war criminal hiding out in Nebraska. Fun Facts!)
Pat quickly, much to Courtney's surprise, got most of the townsfolk, including her mother, to safety. However Courtney's day was still to get worse. Shiv, the Dragon King's daughter, apparently took affront to her costume and attacked the young girl. It was only Pat's intervention that saved her life. Pat had built himself a mechanical fighting suit of armor (that he named S.T.R.I.P.E.). Together the two were able to fight off both the Dragon King and his daughter.
After a long discussion with Pat and her mother it was agreed that Courtney could continue her "teen crime fighting" as long as Pat tagged along. Having no other option but to agree, she did. And the Star-Spangled Girl and S.T.R.I.P.E. was created. With her new calling in life Courtney's life was finally on the right track. She was reconciled with her mother. She even liked Pat! Which was good because not even a month later after the whole 4th of July attack her mother announced she was pregnant.
Nearly nine months later little Patricia was born. A few months after that Starman, whom she had fought together with against the Dragon King, retired. Upon that decision he gifted Courtney the Cosmic Staff. With the Staff she changed her name to Stargirl (At Mary's suggestion) to honor Jack/Starman. During this time she also joined the JSA for a brief time. When the JLA vanished she decided she'd be more help filling the void.
Motivation for joining the League?:
She thinks she can do the most good in the League.
What do you bring to the League?:
Courtney might be young but she has a strong sense of right and wrong. She is also quite powerful in her own right if she can move past her own fears and doubts.
Notes
Courtney really doesn't have that secret of an identity. Pretty much everyone in Blue Valley knows who she is. I really want to include something in this story about how her father's a criminal. <3
Welcome Aspyn. We might no be a site exclusively for teen superheroes but we have quite a few threads running that are along the same theme if you're interested in checking them out.
Hello and welcome. Here are two guides to our site if you'd like to take a gander. If you still have any questions go ahead and let me know I'd be more than happy to answer them.
