Divided We Stand

Good lord, the three new girl are all dangerous for Lucas. Would it be okay if he really damn hates Ellie? I feel like they are near-polar opposites and the fact that she can get inside his brain will make him hate her even more. That and he'll be at the Control Room quite a bit too. The other two will be a problem too but I think Ellie possess the greatest amount of trouble.

lol Carmen isn't the type that's gonna go off hurting people for no reason though, if she's part of the three (4 people didn't post their characters in the tab so I couldn't really tell who you're talking about). She'll have no qualms pistol-whipping folks in the head or punching people in the crotch (before they realized it was punched) when she needs to but she'll do it only when she needs to (unless there's a total dick in this school, some people have sides of jerkassery about 'em but they got good parts of them to back 'em up). She's a woman who likes to use words better than weapons when given the option.

Well I know from experience that handling multiple characters at once is not exactly a good idea. It takes a whole lot of patience work with them. Trust me, there's many instances in which I played 6 characters during a live-action chat roleplay. I couldn't take it. XD

Though if you have done this before and confident that you can do this again, go for it. I'm just suggesting that you shouldn't do this if you are doing this for the first time, it could possibly lead to problems, and in turn these problems could lead to poor post quality, putting characters on a bus or forfeiting the RP altogether.

But what the hell do I know, I signed up at this site 25 hours ago. XD

XD I keep on forgetting that there's a PM feature here lol But that's actually kind of a genius idea thinking about it, getting RPers' characters to mingle with other RPers' characters to hopefully continue a lasting 1x1 RP for some of them, all under the name of Science! XD Reminds me of the show Millionare Matchmaker.

Even if it isn't what you intended it's still a nice side effect that comes with it. :)

I see what you mean @NuttsnBolts, it's a good concept. Crazily enough, the RP Carmen was originally made for had an overabundance of males, though the gender ratio is starting to even out a little. Again, applying your understanding of time for sample sizes, things change, and that's what happened there.

@Pair of Hearts I see, that makes the most sense. I figured a newspaper ad would do too. Since Carmen was a recently freed felon who's making her journey to the US Naval Academy, it would make sense that she found the ad in the paper in her travels and decided to partake in the experiment because (-reasons not spoiled-).

Yeah the best we can really do is just let this thing play out. The fun part of the RP is hearing why the characters are doing the experiment in the first place. XD I won't spoil mine until the RP starts though.

@Pair of Hearts You keep on saying there's a Venus invasion, though most of the women shown are either Gay or Bi. The men are both straight and they only got Carmen and Nora. XD I think an even proportion of women/men/nonbinaries (if that's not PC please don't shoot me) to fill up the gap would probably solve itself. Either way I'd just let things progress naturally when the RP begins, most sample sizes in experiments aren't exactly the best.

Oh no problem! She was just a copy-paste character from other RPs anyway. Never got a chance to play her, she could make a really nice character too! Also I love minority women in leading roles. Very rare, but very awesome. As a generic white guy myself, I'm tired of generic white men in leading roles in Video Games/Movies. XD

She's open to the idea of having a boyfriend, and on the inside she's open to the idea of having a girlfriend too (though she tries her best to deny it to herself and others). However, she's never tried it out (and never found any of the men in the gangs/women in prison worthy mates) so she may be very inexperienced at it.

Hispanic, Lower-Class Felon

Her parents haven't paid much attention to her, as her father is an Ex-Navy sailor who abuses her drunk mother, who then became a prostitute. She grew up in The Hood, more specifically Detroit, where her father worked as a GM auto plant worker and her mother a prostitute (after both she and Carmen ran away from the abusive boyfriend). Carmen ran away from her mother when she turned 16 into a hispanic gang, and was then taken to prison after murdering a child kidnapper/molester.

【Drive】
After being freed from prison, Carmen made it her life duty to become a better person, and to not become a criminal again. She's grown up dreaming of going out to sea and exploring the ocean and the world, and hearing stories from her dad (when he was less abusive) about the Navy, she always wanted to join. She's trying to apply to the Navy, but is having trouble due to her felon background.

As for her outlook on such endeavors (as well as everything else), Carmen's quite a snarky smartass with a bit of a cynical side to her, but deep inside she tries to at least stay positive and has a glimmer of hope for both humanity and her future, now that she's free.

Carmen isn't much passionate about anything, other than joining the military, and trying to atone for her past sins as being a criminal when younger. However, she does enjoy reading, and she does love watching documentaries of undersea adventures.

She's very interested in Sailing and joining the United States Navy, though due to her background as a felon and having grown up as a Detroit gangster and in prison, she wasn't able to achieve that field just yet.
