"How nice of you my man." Liam said as he readied a Pokeball. Chuck said each of them would use two Pokemon. Chuck began with Poliwrath. Liam sent out Sylveon.
"Submission!" Chuck called.
"Baby Doll eyes!" Liam called. Sylveon gave the face to the opponent, lowering the attack and cushioning the blow.
"Poison Jab!" Chuck Called.
"Musty Terrin!" Liam's quick thinking saved Sylveon from being poisoned, the jab activated Cute Charm.
"Ice Beam!" chuck called. He was immoblized by love and Sylveon fired Moonblast and scored a direct hit, KO'ing Poliwrath, who was swapped for Machoke.
"Machoke, Dynamic Punch!"
"Dodge it!" Liam called. Sylveon attempted to evade, but failed. Chuck explained it was due to No Guard, which guaranteed all moves hit the target. Sylveon was confused due to Dynamic Punch. Sylveon tried to use Moonblast, and succeeded. Machine was KO'd and Liam won the Storm Badge.

The duo went to the gym. They found there was a waterfall in the middle of the room with a muscular man sitting underneath it in a meditative stance. As the heroes approached the man looked at them and spoke.
"A couple new challengers huh? Who wants to go first?"
"I got a Riolu and a Gible." Liam reported. "So, how about we go send the extra Pokemon to storage and go face the gym?"
"Get anything good?" Liam asked.
Liam attempted to catch a Sandslash, but ran out of Safari Balls and went to the lobby
Liam found a Riolu.
"Riolu, the Emanation Pokemon. It uses the shape of auras, which change according to emotion, to communicate with others. The aura that emanates from its body intensifies to alert others if it is afraid or sad." Liam used about ten of the Safari Balls, but managed to capture the Pokemon. Liam, knowing full well about the appearance of its evolved form, nicknamed it, "Anubis".
With more searching, He encountered a Gible.
"Gible, the Land Shark Pokemon.It nests in small, horizontal holes in cave walls, that are warmed by geothermal heat. Foes who get too close can expect to be pounced on and bitten.
It took another ten of Liam's issued Safari Balls, but he caught the Gible and noted that it, like Anubis was a boy.
The duo got to the Safari Zone. They were both issued safari balls and allowed into the area.
"I'm not sure, that is why I asked you. Liam fished out a coin from his pocket. "Heads we go to the Safari first, Tails we go to the gym first, two out of three." Liam stated. He flipped the coin, heads. He flipped again, tails, and for the final flip, heads. "So lets go the Safari first."
"I know, right?" Liam replied.
"Some people just don't think things through all the way." Liam replied with a sigh. The boat then docked at Cianawood. Liam asked after the Pokemon Center if they should go to the Safari Zone or the gym first.
