Pokemon: Kalos

On the way to the gathering, the heroes passed by many kiosks set up by various venders for food and souvenirs. Liam noticed one kiosk was manned by a girl with long magenta hair and a boy with lavender hair of a medium length. They had a Meowth dressed in human clothes with them that was yelling in the human language that they needed more noodles for the customers.
"Shiranui, look over there." liam said discreetly pointing the kiosk out.

Pokemon: Kalos

"Hoenn or Sinnoh." Liam replied. Sycamore looked at his watch. "Look at zee time. Zee opening ceremony and prelim battles we start soon." Oak suggested Liam and Shiranui should go ahead and get down there.

"Too many syllables," commented Shiranui. To Professor Sycamore he said, "We'll give you our best performance."

"I know you will lad." Oak replied. "Out of curiosity, have you two decided where you will go next?"

There was a knock on the door. Liam got up to answer the door. There stood Professors Augustine Sycamore and Samuel Oak.
"Professors, What brings you here?"
"Well, vee came to watch zee competition. Vee wanted to come to see zee two if you." Sycamore explained.
Oak explained that Professor Sycamore invited him to watch the tournament, in order to see some Kalos Pokemon in battle. When Oak had a proper Segway for it, he recited a haiku.

"The Kalos League like
Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee
Strong trainers compete"

Liam dropped his bag in the corner. He flopped onto the other bed. "Man this bed is comfy." Liam said. He figured they could relax here for an hour or two before the rest of the challengers began to show up for the opening ceremonies.

Joy gave the boys key cards to enter the room.

Liam's new Pikachu just stood there, scratching an itch on top of his head with his tail. Liam recalled the Pikachu. "Lets go check into our room." Liam suggested.

Liam tossed his ball into the air. A Pikachu emerged. Liam theorized that maybe the other one was also causing electrical disturbances at the center.

"Deli." Delibird replied holding a package up to Liam. Liam took it. He tipped the Delibird 5 Pokédolars. Deli bird smiled "Deli deli!" It then took off. Liam found a note under the twine that wrapped around the brown paper bag like wrapping. He opened the note and read it aloud:
"Liam,
I am proud of you and Shiranui for making it to the Kalos League. Enclosed is a gift that I had made for each of you. I also found a couple Pokémon that were causing mischief around the Pokémon Center. I am sure that they would make exceptionally strong Pokémon if properly trained, but work will not really give me much time for training them. I know you have your preference to Luxary Balls and caught one of them in that, and I hope I caught the other in Shiranui's presence. Good luck in the tournament. Your father, Florence, and I will be rooting for you.

" Liam noted that instead of saying 'mom' the signature was a chibby Nurse Joy face smiling with a hand flashing victory. Liam opened the package to find two slightly small packages. One had Liam's name, while the other had Shiranui's Liam opened his to find a scarf with a flame pattern and the image of a shiny Charizard sown on it. The Luxary Ball rolled out into his hand.

"Thank you." Liam replied. "Deli!" came a loud cry from behind and above the heroes.
