"Say you want to go check out Diglett Cave while we wait on him?" Liam asked as his pokemon were returned to him.
"Well I guess that means we just need to wait on Chuck to get the badge." Liam said as he handed over his Pokemon for healing.
Liam used a few potions and other such items to make his trained pokemon fighting fit, a piece of advice his mother had given him a few days before he started his journey. He entered Surge's gym. Surge immediately called him a 'baby' and called on Raichu. Liam scanned Raichu with his pokedex. (since it was just typed I am not going to post it.) Liam called on Phanpy. The small blue pokemon gave a happy cry when it emerged. Surge scoffed. "You think that baby blue joke of a pokemon will beat my Raichu? I just stomped another trainer today that had the same thought. "Raichu, Iron Tail." Surge called.
"Defense Curl!" Liam called. Phanphy curled up into a ball to increase its defense.
" That little punk is going to use Rollout next, what a predictable strategy perfectly suited to a baby." Surge thought to himself.
"Now ,Attract!" Liam called. Phanphy uncurled and winked at Raichu, who fell in love. Raichu used Iron Tail and hit critically.
"Defense Curl!" Liam called.
Raichu was immoblized with love and unable to use Iron Tail again while Phanphy began Rollout. Raichu was to lovestruck to make another move and was KO'd quickly. Surge gave Liam the Thunder Badge. Liam thanked him and went to the center where he saw Shirauni. "Hey, guess who just won the Thunder Badge!" He said with a smile.

Liam went East to train his Pokemon some. He focused on the ones that were not weak to Electricity.
The event on the boat was coming to a close and everyone who was not traveling to Kalos on the boat was asked to depart immediately. Liam left and the boat and waited for his friends to disembark as well.He figured it may be a good idea to head east to Route 11 to do some training to beat Lt. Surge
Liam pulled out a few revives and gave to the pokemon that needed them. He agreed that it was a rough landing for the Raticate. He gave Swellow and Clefairy a look over and they were both fine.
While Liam stormed off he encountered Trevor. He challenged Liam to a battle that would be broadcast all over the boat. He pointed to the cameras. The Nearby screen turned on and showed both trainer's picture with four pokeballs each. To signify they each get four pokemon. Trevor sent out a Pidgeotto first. Liam called on Clefairy.
"Pidgeotto! Gust!" Trevor called.
"Metronome!" Liam replied. Pidgeotto flapped his wings to create a strong burst of wind. Clefairy was able to withstand it and began to wave two of her index fingers, Each tip was lit up with a white light. Her fist became engulf in electricity as she smacked Pidgeotto hard with Thunder Punch, paralyzing it.
"Now Attract!" Liam called. Clefairy used her feminine charm and made the bird fall in love. Pidgeotto was unable to make a move. While he sat there love struck, Clefairy used Metronome again which came up as Crunch, KO'ing Pidgeotto.
Trevor next called on Kadabra.
Kadabra used Disable to stop Metronome.
"Double Slap!" Liam called. It hit three times.
"Kadbra, Confusion!" Clefairy was sent flying and was KO'd.
Liam switched Clafairy for Ivysaur. Ivysaur used Sleep Powder to put the opponent to sleep. He then used Leech Seed. Kadabra woke upand used Confusion. Ivysaur took the hit and used Poison Powder. Trevor's Kadbra only had a matter of turns left before it would lose. "Recover!" Trevor called. He restored Kadbra's health to try and delay the inevitable.
"Girowth!" Liam called. Ivysaur attempted to gather energy to increase his Sp Atk.
"Confusion!" Trevor called. Ivysaur dodged the attack as Leech Seed and the poisoning did their jobs.
"Confusion again!" Trevor called getting annoyed. Ivysuar was hit and Overgrow activated. "Razor Leaf!" Liam called. The attack hit and KO'd Kadbra, who was replaced with Trevor's Ivysaur. Liam swapped out Tailow.
'Ivysuar, Leech Seed!" Trevor called.
"Steel Wing!" Liam called. The small bird smacked the incoming seed and split it in half.
"Sleep Powder!" he called.
"Whirlwind!" Liam called. The blue powder was blown away and hit a Meowth watching on the sidelines.
"Ivysaur, Vine Whip!" Trevor called. the vines smacked the tiny bird, who retaliated with Peck, activating Overgrow.
"Vine Whip!" Trevor called. The attack hit, causing Tailow to evolve into Swellow.
Swellow, the Swallow Pokémon and the evolved form of Tailow. Swellow uses its impressive divebomber speed and its large talons to capture its prey
"Now, Aerial Ace!" Liam called. Swellow hot the Ivysaur and won, leaving Trevor with his final Pokemon, Raticate.
Raticate, the Mouse Pokemon and the evolved form of Rattata.It whittles its constantly growing fangs by gnawing on hard things. It can chew apart cinder walls.
The webs on its hind legs enable it to cross rivers. It searches wide areas for food.
"Aerial Ace again!" Liam called. Swellow quickly smacked into the Raticate, who retaliated with Iron Tail, KO'ing Swellow. Liam sent Ivysaur back out.
"Razor Leaf!" Liam called. The Overgrown STAB move landed a critical hit and sent Raticate crashing into a wall, KO'd. Trevor recalled it and attempted to ran off the boat through the massive crowd to the Pokemon Center.

Many people were walking around on the boat. a man in white called the boys over. He told them of how Magikarp lay 1,000 eggs and each of those eggs hatches into a Magikarp that will lay 1,000 eggs. If each of those 1,000,000 Magikarp were to be sold for 10 Pokedollars, you'd be multi-millionaires!" Liam cut him off right there. "Hold up! You're trying to sell Pokemon?" At this point Liam was getting up in the man's face, despite being shorter then him. "What kind of low life sick twisted excuse of a person sells a Pokemon?" At this point, Liam's shouting was beginning to attract a crowd.
"Sure Magikarp are not very strong, at least until the evolve, but that doesn't mean you can sell them for a quick buck." Liam said. "For your sake, I hope those Magikarp don't evolve and blast you with Hyper Beam." Liam then stormed off.
