OhmA blonde woman greeted the heroes along Scott this time. Scott introduced her as Arena Tycoon Greta. Greta explained that in the Battle Arena, the spun a wheel to see how many Pokémon each trainer used. She gestured to an oversized wheel like you would see on a game show. Each space had either one, two, or three Pokéballs pictured on it. Liam spun the wheel, and it landed on a square with one Pokéball, meaning it would be a one-on-one battle. Both trainers took their positions. "Before we start," Liam said as he held up a Luxury Ball. Smaug emerged at Liam's side. He wanted the Charmnder to observe the battle. Both trainers than tossed out their Pokémon. It was Greta's Hariyama va Sherlock, the shiny Alakazam.
"Hariyama vs Alakazam, begin!" Scott called.
"Hariyama, Belly Drum!" Greta called. Hariyama cut its health to maximize its attack.
"Calm Mind!" Liam ordered. Both trainers were prepping.
"Now, Rest!" Greta called. Hariyama restored its health to full, and immediately woke up thanks to the berry it had.
"Alright, Sherlock, Mega Evolve and use Psychic!" Sherlock became enveloped in light as Liam activated the Meag Bracelet. When the light faded and Sherlock's stronger form floated there, its eyes began to glow bright blue Hariyama was lifted off of the ground and sent flying backward. "Endure!" Greta called out quickly before Hariyama was slammed into the wall. Hariyama stood up "Revenge!" Greta called. Hariyama hit Sherlock with a lot of power.
'Recover." Liam said calmly. As Sherlock began to heal itself, Hariyama attempted to use Thunder Punch. Sherlock evaded and used Confusion to play "Why are you hitting yourself?" with the electrified fist, KO'ing Hariyama. She awarded Liam the Guts Symbol. Liam thanked her and praised Sherlock for the good job. He hoped Smaug watched closely at how Sherlock handled the battle. Liam recalled the Alakazam and took a seat on the bleachers with Smaug to watch Shiranui's battle.
