Hydro was panting as well. The scoreboard showed that Liam had a few points more remaining than Shiranui did, and was named the winner. Liam was presented with the Cedar Ribbon and the next contest was annouced to be held in Fusciha City. Hydro reverted to his normal form. Liam praised Hydro and recalled him to his ball. Liam than went to the Pokémon Center to heal the Pokémon who competed.

"Push it toward Zorro with Hydro Pump!" Liam called as the timer his 0:10.
"Now, Aura Sphere and Withdraw!" Hydro fired a ball of energy from his main cannon toward Zorro, which would hit for considerable damage after the weakness and Mega Launcher. Hydro than ducked into his shell to cushion the damage from the fall and the explosion the attack would make on impact.
"Now, Earthquake!" Liam called.
"Rapid Spin and Ice Beam!" Liam called. Hydro began spinning and using the Ice attack, making Stalagmites of ice appear all over the stage. Liam hoped to freeze Zorro in the process.
"Withdraw!" Liam called. Hydro ducked back into his shell to up his defense and cushion the attack.
Hydro tripped on the grassy rope, making Liam lose some points.
"Alright, time to get serious." Liam said. "Now, Hydro! Mega Evolve!" Liam called as he activated the Keystone. Hydro was enveloped in bright light as he became the altered form. "Now, Dragon Pulse!"

"Protect!" Liam called. A green shield appeared and absorbed the damage from the two attacks.
"I knew you would put you're on spin on that." Liam said with a smirk. "Ice Beam now!" Hydro bounced into the air to send the Zoroark airborne. He than fired blue energy from his cannons in an attempt to freeze the illusion fox.
"Withdraw!" Liam ordered. Hydro ducked into his shell, softening the blow from the attack. The manuver still made Hydro spin, which Liam had Hydro use that momentum to use Rapid Spin, which would in theory make the hit harder.
