"Alright Smaug, it's time to Mega Evolve!" Liam activated the key stone and in the light, Smaug's form changed, Smaug's new form intesifed the Sun's rays. "Now, Smaug, Solarbeam!" The Charizard immedeately fired the power grass attack upwards. "Now, Fire Blast!" The powerful fire move seemed to be more intense than normal. Smaug started using Flamethrower, which was also much stronger than normal, and Smaug was starting to loose control. Smaug stopped after a flashback ran through his mind of when he had his final encounter with that poacher, and how Liam put himself in harm's way to snap Smaug out of it. He shook his head to clear it and took flight to test his new wings.
"Alright." Liam said. He went out to the training grounds in back and caught Smaug out.
Liam overheard a trainer boasting to a few little kids about catching a Tentacool as big as a Whailord near here last year. Liam had his doubts about such a claim, as it seemed very farfetched. Before long, the boat docked at Mint Island. Liam healed at the Pokémon Center and went to registered for the contest.
'We'll be fine." Liam said. "Besides, Mint Island is known for having a plesant temperature year round. That, and for the mint grown there." The boat began to take off.
Liam recalled Smaug to his ball and went to the boat as well.
"Well, for now lets go catch the ferry to Mint Island." Liam stated.
Sashia was ecstatic once the time was called and she was handed her final ribbon, She celebrated internally, but professionally thanked both Liam and the crowd for being amazing. She then celebrated with Zerina and Elisa, before having a interview about her plans for the grand festival.
She rejoined the boys only after Smaug mother had gone to the Charisific valley, She watched them go before she tapped Liam on the shoulder and presented him two mega stones. "I think you should choose what kinda of mega you want Smaug to be, you can use both these stone to see which one fits. For my Zerina she's always be a special attacker, she only carries Dragon claw and Dragon dance as her only physical move. It might help you in later contests or in Champion Defence battles"
"Thank you." Liam said picking up the Charizardnite Y, which was the one he hoped to find.
"Yup, she's on her way to the Valley." Liam explained. "Well, shall we get going to Mint Island?" Liam asked.
While Liam handed Jiriya and Goodra's balls over to a Chancey for healing, Joy came up. She wanted Liam and Smaug to follow her. She took them out to the back of the Pokémon Center where a green haired girl stood in a hot air balloon, with three Charizard, one of which were a pink bow standing beside the balloon. Joy introduced her as Liza, the caretaker of the Charicific Valley. She and Liam shook hands, as Liza did with Smaug. She mentioned how she had heard what happened, as was sorry about Smaug's mother, and impressed with the power Smaug displayed. She said that she brought these Charizard to help Smaug's mother get to the valley safely. Smaug told her it would be alright to go with her, as she protected a whole valley dedicated to Charizards, and it would be the safest place for her to recover. The Black Charizard slowly walked over to the Charizard from the Valley, which Liam noted that the valley Charizards dwarfed Smaug and his mother. They waved bye to Liza and the group of Charizard until the vanished into the sunset. Liam and Smaug than returned to their friends and Liam picked up his other Pokémon. Smaug of tears in his eyes, happy that his mom would be safe.
