Liam was contestant #1. He called on Grimm the Dusknoir. Grimm used a combonation of Night Shade and Mean Look to make a scarry image of a pair of glowing eyes staring out from pitch black. "Now, finish with Astonish!" Grimm suddenly leapt out from the shadows like a monster in a horror movie.

"That was quite a scarry appeal, and was honestly unexpected of you. But, sometimes that is the right appeal to make."

Liam, having not been present for Shiranui's capture, went to the Contest Hall. He checked in and went to sit in the Green Room and began polishing the balls that held the Pokémon he was going to use before placig them into the ball capsules and putting the seals on.

After a while, Liam returned to the Pokémon Center and had Jiriya healed up after the training session. Once Jiriya's healing was done, it was late and Liam went to get some sleep for the contest.

Liam said He than read from the book the Grand Festival was being held at the same stadium as the Leauge Tournament, but a month in advance and noted hat they have to find somewhere in there to fit the final Fronteir Facility.
