Blaine took them into his secret Gym inside a volcano. Liam sent Smaug out. Smaug Mega Evolved into his Y form, making the sunlight more intense insie the volcano.

Liam said that she didn't have to if she didn't want to, although it might be some good training for her Charizard. The man who had by now taken off his disguise to shpw he was Cinnabar's Gym Leader, Blaine went with Liam into the volcanic gym so Smaug could get some practice in.
"Not to mention that being in that gym with its heat will likely help as well." Liam added.
"Well, I was thinking that such a place may help Smaug get some good training." Liam admitted.
Ultimately, Liam decided it may be quicker to take them to the Inn directly. At the desk there was a man with long hair. "Ah, Champion Tsukiko, Champion Coleman, good to see you boys again." The man said. He also comments that there is a gym there "where firefighters will never win".
Liam thought about taking Mike and Sashia to the park from which you can see the big clock tower to which Shiranui's hint refered too, but also thought it mught just be faster to take them to the Inn directly.
"Weren't there already like twenty of them on the island?" Liam asked, He commented to his travel companions that the contest was tomorrow, and he had arranged reservations back while they were in Moss Town at The Big Riddle Inn, knowng that Shiranui would remember the signifegnce of the lodgings.
The ferry set off on its trip to Cinnabar. Once again, Liam overheard the same trainer boasting about catchng a Tentacool the size of a Wailmer. He also noticed that many people were dressed like they were going to a resort, which did match up with what he remembered about the island. After the ferry docked, Liam went to the Pokémon Center and healed his Pokémon before registering for the contest.
With that, the heroes made their way to the ferry.
