It eventually came to Liam's next round. When the opposing cooridnator told Maganium to use Vine Whip to toss an Energy Ball at Goodra, Liam ordered Goodra to use the vines to yank Meganium over and give it a big hug. The combo worked, and made the Meganium's trainer lose a huge amount of points.

It was time for the contest to begin. When it was Liam's turn he entered the stage and sent out Cynder to Typhlosion who did an appeal that involved curling up into a ball of fire and spinning fast enough to give off an illusion of a twister of flames.

Sandygast and Bewear had extra text on the Z-moves they were using. I wonder what that could entail. Also, the place the player is in where they meet Ryuki, some people online think it is either a nod to, or actually is Surge's gym. Wouldn't it be neat if either we could face Kanto's gymns and/or gyms open in Alola and Surge moves there? The games implied that Surge was possibly from Unova, but the person who said it was uncertain. Maybe in Ult Sun/Ult Moon we learn Surge is from Alola?
