Axel approached KK and Minx while holding the rescued Digivice. He wasn't entirely sure if he should trust her with the Digivice after everything that just happened. He reluctantly handed over the Digivice, clearly unsure of if he was making the right decision here. Kudamon now came up to Axel and returned his Digivice to him now that he was out of the water.

It seemed to me as though it was waiting for an interaction with someone else.
"So, how should we split up then?" Liam inquired.
Axel managed to secure the digivice and swim to shore. He was panting heavily, as the feat took a lot out of him. Kudamon floated up, carrying Axel's digivice. "Did you get it, Axel?" He inquired. Axel smiled and showed the soaked piece of tech to his partner. "Maybe I should toss it into a bag of digi-rice," Axel said, making a pun. He was sure that the machines would not be damaged by water, but it couldn't hurt, could it?
"It doesn't feel right to leave one of our Pokémon out like that overnight," Liam commented. "We need to try and find her."
"Is everyone present and accounted for?" Liam asked.
Moony leaped into the bushes and proceeded to lick Liam's face once. "You evolved Mooney, congratulations!" Liam praised.
Ryu nodded to her as he stop her at a reasonable distance from the battle so they could still watch it but not get involved though Dusk stop in front of Liam to stop him interfering with the battle though she was aware he had kept a good distance from it as she sat down to watch her eyes scanning the moon.
(he already was watching and not interfering)
Mooney continued to fight the midnight Lycanroc. Mooney fired off Rock Throw, and Lycanroc used Counter, flinging the rocks back with greater strength. It then launched toward the shiny Rockruff with Brick Break. Moony howled in pain as he began to glow white, piercing the night sky. Moony evolved to midnight form, and used Brick Break as well, sending the non-shiny Lycanroc soaring into a cliffside, KO'd. Moony howled at the moon victoriusly before stopping to sniff the air and turned to face the bush that Liam was hiding behind.
Moony eventually came to stop on a ledge looking out at the full moon. Liam was about to go out to Moony when he saw rustling and the Midday and midnight Lycanrocks walked out. The three began to bark at one another. It was as if they were having a conversation about the weather. Soon after, The Midnight Lycanrock began to battle Mooney. This all seemed ritualistic to Liam, so he wasn't wanting to step out and intervene.
Axel had tripped, causing the brick to soar over his head. The digivice was thrown down into the water before he could get back on his feet. He cursed as he ran to try and get the digivice from the water. Considering the fact that Axel is not trained in diving, it was a pretty good one. He began to swim for the digivice so that he could keep it safe.
