Liam was taking the fact that Okami was also fightng a Lycanroc as a sign that it is part of a right of passage of sorts to battle before evolution.

Axel began to move out of the way. Kudamon would be of no use until he could eat some food. Axel had to get somewhere that his partner could eat without them getting killed. Axel hoped that if Kudamon could get his energy back, maybe he could help with this, possibly even Digivolve. But, he had to focus on one problem at a time, and the first one would be staying alive.
Liam was about to send out Robin to find the others, but than he saw them approach.
Mooney barked and sped up toward that sound. With the speed he had, Liam would have sworn that Mooney used Agility, which Liam knew was a move that he couldn't use. Mooney grinds to a halt shortly before a Midday Lycanrock, that looked to be confronting Okami.
"It's hard to say," Liam admitted. "From what I heard, that location is supposed to have a great view, but I wouldn't expect a Rock-type to go to a lakeside willingly." Mooney continued to sniff around. He barked and began to take off. 'I think Mooney may have found something." Liam said before breaking out into a sprint.
Mooney was sniffing around to find the scent. While searching for the scent, Mooney leaped behind a bush. There were two screams. One was a man's, the other's was a woman's. The two rushed out from the bushes, turning out to be Billie and Kidd. They freaked out at seeing Liam and Shiranui.
"AH! Champions! Save us from the monster!!" They cried together.
"What are you two even doing here?" Liam inquired.
"Vacation." Bille offered, "Now save us!"
Liam whistled and Mooney popped his head out. "Find anything yet?" Mooney shook his head no.
"Alright, let's move on." Liam stopped and turned his head to the scared Rocket duo, "You two keep your noses clean."
"AH! Champions! Save us from the monster!!" They cried together.
"What are you two even doing here?" Liam inquired.
"Vacation." Bille offered, "Now save us!"
Liam whistled and Mooney popped his head out. "Find anything yet?" Mooney shook his head no.
"Alright, let's move on." Liam stopped and turned his head to the scared Rocket duo, "You two keep your noses clean."
Liam made a note of the point on a traditional map. "Good luck everyone," Liam said. He then began to go off in one direction to look.
Axel was defensive of this. He pulled Kudamon away from the newcomer to the scene. "No, I may not really like people, but that doesn't mean I want them to die." At this point, Axel was unsure of how this was going to play out. If they wanted to fight as well, Kudamon would be of no help due to his weakened condition.
"Got it," Liam said. "If I need you guys, I'll send Oliver or Dragonite to find you."
"Well, that does sound like a good way to split," Liam admitted. "But, if the groups don't hear from one another, we need to meet back up at the Pokémon Center. Agreed?"
