Totem Lurantis showed them the dance for the grass z-move. Liam thanked it and gave it a respectful bow.
Liam offered the Totem some more berries so that it would be ready for the next battle. Once it was ready it took its place.
Liam stepped aside to let Shiranui take his place. Totem Lurantis took its position to begin the battle.
(Irl me keeps forgetting that as well) Liam also apologized, as did Smaug.
"Way to go Chuck and Megumin!" Liam cheered. Lurantis woke up and offered up a Grassnium Z for Chuck. At the same time, Liam offered the totem Pokémon a small pile of Orren Berries so that it would be ready for another battle. Liam readied one of his balls. "OK Robin, You're-" But before Liam could finish, Smaug popped out.
"Smaug, are you sure you want to battle? Don't you want to rest?" Liam inquired.
Smaug nodded, saying that he wanted to battle. Liam hypothesized that possibly Smaug wanted to work through the grief, which could in theory work.
"Alright bud, It's all you!" Liam encouraged as he took his place. Smaug roared in prep and offered the totem the first move. It started with the same combo and scored a good hit on Smaug, though it was not very effective. Smaug countered with Flamethrower, dealing a great amount of damage to the Totem Pokémon.
Lurantis next used X Scissor, scoring a critical hit on Smaug.
"Alright Smaug, Fire Blast!" Liam called. The Charizard soared into the air fired off the powerful fire attack straight above the Totem Pokémon, landing a critical hit, and KO'ing the totem. Liam praised Smaug and offered the Totem some berries as he took the Grassnium Z
Liam cleared the way so that Megumim could have her battle.
"Wait, we're cooking a helmet?" Liam asked perplexed. "I don't understand how that helps." Soon after Liam vocalized his concern, the nearby trees rattled as a large, pink Pokémon leapt out.
"Lurantis, the Bloom Sickle Pokémon. A grass type. It requires a lot of effort to maintain Lurantis’s vivid coloring, but some collectors enjoy this work and treat it as their hobby. As it slashes into its enemies, it looks like it’s dancing. Its elegant appearance has led some to call it the most glamorous Grass Pokémon. "
"Intriguing," Liam commented thining out loud. "Who wants to go first?"
"I would guess Sweet Scent, but that might cause more problems that it solves," Liam stated.
"I can't wait to see what kind of Pokémon the totem is," Liam said, psyched up for battle.
The group began to head out toward the Lush Jungle.
