Liam was ready to step in as well if needed. Though he thought for sure there was no way that Buzzwole could defeat Shiranui and Chuck, let alone still be a problem after that.

Jiriya leads them to the location but stopped them at a distance where it would not detect them. Liam quietly thanked his Pokémon. He then quietly asked his friends who wanted to go for this one.

We have already had two of the Grand Trials, which is about halfway through the game. We don't usually take new people in at this point.
Liam had Jiriya go out and scout around for the target. He had returned just after a couple of minutes to find it and return to the heroes.
Smaug landed in the meadow. Liam praised him and sent him back to his Luxury Ball to rest. "So, now we need to find the Ultra Beast." Liam said, thinking aloud.
