The kid said that he was alright, and thanked Liam for helping him. The kid also commented that the guys were picking on him because he only has one Pokémon, and it can't really fight. The kid pulled out a variant Pokéball that was similar to the standard ones, but it had a golden-colored image of a pokéball on the top half.
"Hey, that's a Sport Ball from the Bug Catching Contest in Johto!" Liam said.
"Yeah, my dad brought this to me when he came home from Johto." The kid said with a smile. The kid tossed the ball up and it opened, revealing a red Metapod.
"Do you guys think you could help me get another Pokémon, or help me evolve my Metapod?"

The trio of punks looked over at Liam "You got a big mouth on you runt," The green haired one said. "I'll crush you with my best Pokémon and make you run home crying to mommy." He tossed a ball into the air and out emerged an Urasing. Liam chuckled to himself. Liam tossed a ball into the air and Goodra emerged. "Dragon Pulse," Liam called. The Urasing was effortlessly defeaed and the punks ran off in fear.
