Ash went next. He sent out Incenaroar when his opponent called out an Alolan Golem. A well-timed Inferno Overdrive gave him the win.
Liam's battle against Kiawe was next. Kiawe and Liam sent out Charizard and Blastoise respectively in unison.
"Hydro, use Water Pulse!" Liam called. The attack hit Kiawe's Charizard for a fair amount of damage.
"Use Slash!" Kiawe ordered. Hydro ducked his head into his shell to evade the attack.
"Way to go Hydro!" Liam praised. "Now, let's take it up a notch! Mega Evolve!" Liam activated his keystone, causing Hydro to Mega Evolve, getting many cheers from the audience. "Water Pulse!" Liam called. This time the attack buffed by Wonder Launcher made a direct hit, confusing the Charizard and activating Blaze.
"Pretty good, but let's see how you fare against this," Kiawe said with a smirk as he activated his Z-Ring. "Use Supersonic Skystrike!" The attack connected and did considerable damage to Hydro.
"Alright Charizard, time to wrap this up. Use Aerial Ace!" Kiawe said.
"Now, Hydro Cannon!" Hydro fired off the powerful water-type move right in Charizard's face as it charged in, KO'ing it and giving Liam the win.
The next match was Jimothy vs Hau. As before, Wobbafett was there waving a flag in support of Jimothy, and his Mariene latched onto his head affectionately when it emerged from its ball. Hau sent out Decidueye. The battle drew out for around five minutes before Hau won with Spirit Shackle.
Jimothy picked up his Mariene and praised it for the hard work. It once again clamped onto Jimothy's head affectionately. The two and the Wobbafett left the stadium.
