Personality: Loyal to those he believes to be his friends. Despite his unfortunate circumstance with the memory loss, he tries to remain positive. He is a true friend. His amnesia gives him a sort of naïveté and to anyone who has yet to see him on a wanted poster would be fooled by his faux innocence.

Biography: Takeru's back story an enigma. He lost his memory a few years ago and never regained it. Bits and pieces will return to him over the story. He instinctively relearned how to use his Devil Fruit Power (more on that later). Takeru went into hiding after wandering a town and finding a wanted poster with his face on it and a staggering 35,000,000 Berri bounty. He knew that if he was caught he might get some answers to his mysterious past, but would it be worth his life?

Takeru ate the "Copy Copy" fruit, But as to being amnesic, he does not remember the circumstances of eating it. The fruit gave him the ability to absorb matter, similar to how Kevin does in the Ben 10 Franchise. He will eventually be able to absorb multiple (likely just two or three) different materials at the same time, say mixing steel and iron together for example. However, no material can be absorbed to allow him to float, He might be able to coat other things with it at some point down the line. Takeru carries a bag with scraps of various material so he can always utilize his Devil Fruit Power.
In the spoiler below I will be adding the truth about his past, so if anyone wants to be surprised as it plays out don't look.

Takeru

"Takeru Matsumodo" is an alias the youth, Jun Izohana used when he was a child. His father, a notorious womanizer was chased out of town one day. A group of pirates captured him and forced him to take them to the sleepy village. The vile pirates pillaged the small town, killing all the women and boys under the age of five. He gave all the men two options: "Join my crew" or "Be slain by my men's blades like those foul wrenches" "Takeru managed to get away from the pirates, after having over heard what they were looking for, an item the mayor had under lock and key. Jun picked the lock on the mayor's door and the chest and took what they wanted, which was a strange fruit. It looked like a pear, except it spread out from the base like a mirrored image. Jun hastily engulfed the fruit, not noticing the horrid taste till he finished and managed to leave out the window and ran off from his burning Cocoa Village and never looked back. It wasn't until he put his hand on a tree while he caught his breath that he learned what the Devil Fruit did. The status of his father is unknown but is believed to be dead.
Ten years later, having now taken on the alias "Takeru Matsumodo", has made it into the Marines (assuming they use the same scale as the US' Marines) He became a Sargent before the faithful day of losing his memory. While on leave from duty, having just brought in fierce pirates someone, an affiliate of those pirates bashed him on the head, knocking him out and framed him for torching 15th Branch Marine base (picked a number that wasn't used yet). When he woke up had amnesia and learned his name when he found Wanted Posters with the most current picture of him, which made no reference of his now revoked Marine status.

Liam said he would wait outside of town. While out there he encountered an injured Growlithe.

Growlithe, the Puppy Pokemon. Very friendly and faithful to people. It will try to repel enemies by barking and biting. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes. Liam saw a pack of Houndour cornored the injured Pokemon and growled menacingly.

Houndour, the Dark Pokemon. Around dawn, its ominous howl echoes through the area to announce that this is its territory." Liam called on Hydro to stop the Houndour. Hydro's water attacks scared off two of the three attackers. The remaining one used Crunch on Hydro and triggered Torrent. Liam called for an Aqua Tail and KO'd the Houndour. Liam used a Super Potion to restore the Growlithe, who reached up and licked Liam's face. Liam decided he wanted to fight the Growllithe to try and catch it the successful attempt earned Liam the much needed fire type for his team.

Liam's pokemon were returned to him and he thanked the Chansey which brought them to him. She gave Shrianui a tray with his Pokeballs on it as well. Liam told Shiranui about what his parents had said about this Joy.
