I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

”Hmm...” Willow looked down the path to the second floor patient's quarters. ”No, I didn't come here to chase peasants. Even if they have...alluring lute playing skills. I came here to protect my sister.” with a snap of her fingers, her horse returned to her side. ”But now that I don't have a cannon, what can I hold in my other hand?” Willow felt around her horse until she found her scepter.”Haha! I'm all set!” She jumped onto her horse. ”Let's wage war, the queen is here!” And with that, Willow went running towards her sister.

The support team is scattered after a harrowing ambush. Nothing went right for the distraction teams. The attack team can just barely contend with Nariko. The rescue recovery team exchanged a life for Krista's safety. Mary stood at the foot of the the patient's quarter's stairwell, the fire from Faith's Molotov still burning. Bliss and Mercy took care of Ellie, who passed out from all the excitement. Ice, Jezevel, and Faith followed after Calvin, Aleecia, and Alexandria. Soon they would join Alice, Max, Zachary, and Noel in their battle against Nariko. But Monika and Willow are not far behind. Felix limped back to his room, trusting that Justiciar would help, wherever they are. Cyrus is carrying Rika's dying body, and a wounded Krista limps behind them. Monokuma, Julia, Napoleon, and Geina lay in ruin, but it will only be a matter of time before they return to the game. Adar remained unseen, and Daimyon waited in the second floor locker rooms, betting that his lute could fell the pursuing queen Willow. But it's a danger that will never arrive.

Things are coming to a head, it's the final push to destroy Nariko's carnage class chassis. The infinites have received their reinforcements, and so have the carnage sisters. It's a heated battle, and neither side will accept anything less than victory. But what will they sacrifice to obtain conquest?

Amber just got done driving away from police officers. Before she had the chance to wipe the sleep out of her eyes, these things showed up. Amber didn't even need to use the auxiliary camera system. The giant creatures were visible on the main screen at the front of the bridge. “Well blow me down.”

“I guess...” Sue groaned. “It would have been too much to ask for a safe trip through the underworld. I-I mean over city!”

“Same difference.” Amber steeled herself before adjusting the mic again. With a nervous chuckle, she started talking to everyone through the com system. “Alright landlubbers, We can't get scared now. Whatever's waiting for us at Justine's castle is sure to be ten times worse than this. And I know we can beat it, so try not to freak out. Follow your captain's orders, and we'll survive.” Amber's eyes glanced over all of her screens. For some reason, she was grinning. “Mariette, open a portal to that winged magical girl by the city. We're going to deploy Eli and Sue so that they can explain the situation and maybe get us some back up. But we don't know what the situation over there is like, so make sure they can return if things get hairy.” Amber didn't have a ton of time to give orders with the creatures barring down on them. But she did her best to sound confident in her plan. “Alexander, protect everyone topside. Those of you with ranged weapons or powerful magic, Focus them down one at a time. Try to spread out a bit so that they can't take you out all at once. Those of you who aren't gifted with artillery or ranged weaponry, stand by Mariette. I'm confident she can use her portals to let you attack the creatures without even leaving the ship.” There was no time for quips about the portal witch, Amber needed to be as concise as possible. Amber adjusted her grip on the steering levers. “I'm going to be taking evasive action, should they start firing on us or try to board. So be ready for that.” Amber was determined to make the ride as smooth as possible, as to avoid throwing everyone overboard.

"be careful Amber. I don't know what those things are capable of, but they have the same magical signatures as the bloodicorns we fought earlier." Sue had flown outside and landed next to Eli, ready to use any portal that appeared before her. “Alright, ready when you guys are.”

Ugh, gorelions.

One of the few monsters that were totally immune to her illusion magic.

Though really, it wouldn't be much of a problem since she had other forms of magic to rely on. Her gravity magic in particular could be used to replicate the wounds of other weapons, so if the portal witch whent along with Amber's plans, she'd be able to assist without anyone suspecting it. Some might think it was strange that Tonya would go through such lengths to keep her identity secret, as the world's love was at risk. But fate's plan for everything reassured her that this would be enough.

That, and she had come too far to tip her hand just yet. Wouldn't it be something if she could go the entire mission without getting spotted?
Ahh, so the voting thread is up.

I want to do better reviews this time, so I'll be reading each entry multiple times. There is no close date for voting, but I hope it's at least 2 weeks like last time.

How things unfolded after Neola spoke surprised her. The boy continued to do exactly what she told him not to do. But the little girl was not only entirely ignoring Neola, but conversing with the boy like nothing had happened. The entire reason why Neola chose to insert herself here was because she heard the adorable little girl scream. Neola didn't understand why she didn't get a thank you for standing up to the boy. When the other girl got up, she didn't seemed to be alarmed by the man's presence. Neola could only sigh. Perhaps she was being weird again. Maybe Byakuya was not the best choice for this situation. It wasn't too late to change into someone else, but Neola didn't like changing her persona so frequently. Instead, she decided to think about what Byakuya might do in this situation. Interrogation of everyone around him was most likely, but Neola didn't feel like doing that right now. Maybe Byakuya would simply get fed up and walk in the opposite direction. With any luck, they would forget about her and then she could introduce herself as someone else. Only, her plan was thwarted by the arrival of another boy. Or was that a man?

“Hmmm...” The scruffy boy had already managed to close the distance between him and Neola “Well, If Byakuya was a desirable woman instead of some guy who inherited his daddy's fortune, I suppose he'd look something like you.” He smirked. “But I'm going to wager that you're actually Neola Akiyama, the ultimate celebrity impersonator.”

Neola fret her brow. ”You're rather observant for a commoner. You shouldn't speak so casually with me however.”

“I'm not sure if you do requests.” His smile was growing by the second. “But I'd be a lot happier if you were Sayaka. I'm not really in the mood for femogami right now.”

”It is extreamly rude, even for a neanderthal such as yourself, to tell a woman how she should look or act.”

“Yea yea... Please?”

”Hmph.” At the very least, it was an excuse to transform into someone more appealing to the young girl. Neola twirled in front of him, and when she stopped she was a different person. ”Like this?”

“Oh um.” He placed a hand on the back of his head. “That's actually pretty impressive. ”

”Even if your 'assets' are a bit bigger.”

“Eh?” He raised an eyebrow.

”That's what you were thinking right? I'm a mind reader, you know?”

He raised his other eyebrow. “Excuse me?”

Neola giggled ”I'm just kidding, I just have very good intuition.” Yes, Sayaka's character was one that bounced between playful teasing and vulnerable. Neola felt she had “attacked” the boy a bit too hard, and now it was time to let him get some ground back. ”But really, I do tend to bind my chest when I'm pretending to be smaller people. But there's only so much I can do with this quick change kit. I hope I still met your expectations.”

“Yea, I think girls come in all kinds of great shapes. Though yours is definitely one of my favorites.” He gave Neola one more look before turning to the the smaller girl. “Kara O'Hara right? The ultimate desert chef!” He patted her head. Neola was a bit envious of this new boy, but did her best to hide it. “I hope we can make something delicious later. So long as it's not a souffle, those things are disgusting! But maybe if you made it, I'd like it.” He turned to face the second girl, the one that just woke up. “Lilly Hart, the ultimate hacker right?” the scruffy boy extended his hand. “No need to ask for a hand, heh. A lot of people find speaking to me difficult.” Then he turned to look at the first boy. “Okay, who the hell are you?” Weird, the scruffy boy seemed to know everyone's name and talent except for that guys. Why was that?
I haven't read any of the stories yet, but I'm eager to start once the voting pole opens.
Davis Gallo and Flint Asidea

Davis was a conqueror, and conquerors go where they want, when they want to. Just because a door was locked didn't mean it was going to keep him out for long. It was just a log cabin after all, how sturdy could the doors really be? All he needed to do was find something heavy to knock down one of the doors with. If he was a prisoner here, he didn't really care about causing a little bit of property damage. They should have staffed the place with more guards. With that thought in his head, Davis turned around to go to the dock. Surely there was something heavy in there. As he did however, he saw a thin man approaching.

As Flint was walking towards the cabins, he found himself distracted by the foliage growing along the path. Maybe his memory was still failing him, but the trees looked… weird. He became so transfixed, he almost missed the man at the end of the path, wearing a suit and tie in such a manner as to show off as much chest hair as possible.

The conqueror raised an eyebrow at the peculiar man. ”Hey uh, you look lost.” Davis's eyes shifted side to side. ”I'm assuming you just woke up too?

Something about the man was unmistakably familiar. As they got close, Flint stopped and squinted, trying to place where he knew the man. Everything about him gave him an overpowering sense of déjà vu, from the clothing to the odor to the voice he was currently ignoring. Something was wrong here.

Davis folded his arms.. ”You haven't forgotten how to speak, have you? You’d better not be high...

Flint leaned in with no regard for personal space. The more he stared at Davis, the more he was starting to think he was losing his mind. Davis, man of grit that he was, didn’t so much as flinch. After half of a staring competition, Flint backed away a bit, finally speaking up. “Did we meet last night?

...Huh?” Davis gave Flint a sideways glance. ”If we did, I can't remember.” Davis nodded to himself. ”I wouldn't be surprised if I look familiar to you. Did you watch cooking with the stars or marshal mayhem? I appear on TV from time to time.” After chuckling to himself for a few seconds, his smile vanished. ”What were you doing last night?

Fuck. Flint can’t just say he forgot what happened last night, but luckily, it seems Davis doesn’t remember either. He’s positive he didn’t just see Davis on TV. He never watches TV. So… the most convincing lie would be… “Taking cooking lessons.” Flint tries to change the subject. “Do you know the way to Hope’s Peak?

”I don't know...” Davis trailed off. ”I'm sorry, it really bothers me that I can't remember you at all. Did I teach you my famous souffle recipe?”

Flint deflects the question. “My name is Asidea, Flint. I never caught your name.”

Davis smirked. ”Really now? I taught you how to make a delicious souffle, and I never told you my name?

Who said the cooking lesson involved you or your souffles?

Oh, was that detail wrong?” The conqueror adjusted his shirt. Flint hid his incredulity. Is this how normal people live? Guessing details they forget all the time? No, that can’t be right… ” Anyway, I’m Thomas Herringson, ultimate runner.” Davis started to walk past Flint. ”I don't think we're alone here, Flint.

Flint falters for a bit, trailing after Davis Thomas Herringson. “Wait, what do you mean? Why would we be?

Well, you're the first face I've seen around here. And if it wasn't for the sixteen cabins I saw back there, I'd probably assume it was just you and me out here in the wilderness. I must admit I just woke up not too long ago, so there is still a lot I need to see, as I don’t remember much of anything. ”He did not look at Flint as he continued down the path. ”I think it will be interesting to hear what everyone remembers. I wonder if I'm the only one who forgot yesterday, or if you're the only one who remembers it.” Davis looked over his shoulder, still wearing that smirk. Flint raises an eyebrow. Is he trying to say something? ”You asked about hope's peak, you wouldn't happen to be a student there as well, would you? What is your talent?

I guess you could say that, but… Flint looked directly at Thomas... Hrmmm… “You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?

Well, it actually makes me really happy to hear you say that, Flint.” Davis turned around to face him. ”Because I don't fully trust you either. I've just woken up and I've been approached by someone who claims they know more than me. Moreover, you seem to know me, but won’t disclose how or why. You also dodge simple questions, and seem to have an incomplete knowledge of how things work around here. This seems oddly suspicious for someone who is suppose to remember ‘yesterday’. ” Davis kept on talking. He didn't give flint a chance to respond. ”So I have two theories Flint. The first one is that you're involved with my memory loss, and me waking up wherever the hell we're supposed to be. The second one is that you're just as confused as I am, but you're lying about what you know because you're scared or...” Davis shrugged. ”Who knows? It's not important. But I can't trust either of those people. So I'm going to continue exploring until I have a more complete idea of my current situation. I'd prefer if you stayed out of my way until I'm finished.

He seems to be taking the situation quite seriously. He raises some good points, and it’d probably be better if you see what he’s talking about for yourself. Even so… “Can you at least tell me your real name?” Flint stares hard at the man. Something about him bothers Flint.

Why should I tell you anything? I just said-

It begins with a ‘D’, doesn’t it?

Davis's eyes momentarily widened, but then then he fret his brow. ”Is that suppose to mean something? You can guess the first letter of my name? How do I know you don't know the whole thing?” He groaned. ”It's Davis.” The conqueror prepared to turn around. ”So maybe you have heard of me. I still don't trust you. But if you'd like, we can explore the place together, see if there's anyone else around here.

I’ll pass.” Flint said without any hesitation. They continued walking in silence until reaching the crossroads. “See you around though.” Davis nodded and headed north. All conquerors go north. That’s where Babylon is. Flint headed south, solely because it was in the opposite direction.

I know that guy was high off something. I mean, who hasn't heard of Davis Gallo?

Davis Gallo did not remember waking up. He had been laying like this for at least five minutes now, waiting for his memory to come back. This was not something he typically did, but when you woke up on a dirt road with no recollection of how you got there, you might have forgotten something important.

The last thing he remembered was entering hope's peak, and he most certainly wasn't there. Davis could tell just by the temperature. Either he had been out for a long period of time, or he had been moved to a place with a colder climate. He knew he wasn't in new york at least. He had flown to Japan with the idea he would be scouted by Hope's Peak. While this was something most people hoped for, Davis wasn't one of them. People hope if there's a chance for failure, or the situation looks bleak. Davis never hoped, because he knew getting what you wanted was always a matter of of understanding the game and beating it. It was conquest that brought Davis to Hope's Peak, not hope. But none of that explained why he was laying on the ground, outside no less. One possibility was that he had been drugged, but that would mean someone had bested him. And Davis had never lost, and he never will.

The conqueror stood up and checked himself. He was still wearing his red and cream outfit he won off a ”mack daddy pimp.” It was just a red suit with a vest and a long black tie. It looked professional though, and far better on Davis than that other fool. The tie had to be worn loose though. Chest hair was the symbol of a real man, and he displayed his with pride. The conqueror considered ditching the tie, but he had heard Japan was a lot more strict when it came to uniform codes. Hope's Peak would be no different given its reputation. With his uniform gone over, he ran his hands through his hair. Davis's mullet was still there, as was his 9'o clock shadow. Beards were another mark of manliness, but you needed to be careful with them. It was easy to grow them out too long and look like a “mack daddy pimp.” But he liked his shadow, it was just the right lenth for a man of his caliber. Though it was interesting that his hair was still in great shape. If he had been captured for a long period of time, he suspected his captors wouldn't keep his beard and hair trimmed.

Davis was on a road leading to a dock and a few cabins. The dock was not as interesting to him as the cabins, so he went there first. They all looked more or less the same from the outside, and were a little bit smaller than your average studio apartment. He attempted to enter all of them, even called out to see if anyone was around to hear him. But he was met with silence. Davis started to take note of the cameras and monitors mounted around the place. It seemed like very tight security for a camp. And he doubted the monitors were there to show kids PSAs about preventing forest fires. The only reason why you'd need that many monitors was if you wanted to make sure everyone heard an announcement. And off in the distance, he could see a fence that sorrounded the entire camp. Davis tried to think about what this might mean. Overabundance of security, cheap lodging, and enough monitors to display someone's ugly mug all over the island. Even though the possibility was unlikely, it was the only one he could come up with. He had been captured. And if the cabin count was anything to go by, there were at least fifteen other people on this island with him.

“Who am I?”

This is a question Neola Akiyama (Or Akiyama Neola for those of you who insist on applying Japanese writing rules to English text) found herself asking herself any time she woke up. It wasn't that she didn't know who she was, it just wasn't always clear who she was pretending to be. Byakuya would probably get up as casually as possible. No fuss, very focused on whatever task he had to do that day. Sayaka would probably wake up a little slower. vulnerable, but not groggy. She was a pop idol, so this was one of the few times she was allowed to look low energy. Junko would make a big show of getting up. She'd bounce upright quickly enough, but would then proceed to yawn and stretch. Maybe smack her lips a little bit, and play with one of her stuffed bunnies until she was ready for breakfast. Nobody likes it when fashion models complain, since they appear to live such ideal lives. Regardless of what might be troubling them, they need to look glamorus at all times. But alas, there was nothing that really hinted at who Neola was suppose to be. She was naked. Not literally naked, when Neola called herself naked, she was out of costume, exposed. Anyone who looked at her would see Neola instead of who she was suppose to be. Fortunately, her purse was left within arm's reach. With a quick inspection, Neola would see that she had all of her quick change costumes and effects for becoming someone else. This pleased her greatly. She was a bit worried that she might have been separated from it. Neola didn't even notice her phone was missing.

The impersonator didn't see anything unusual in her surroundings. She didn't remember how she got here, but that didn't really concern her. Neola loved being outside, and the air was cool and fresh. There was a woman laying not too far away from her, and Neola figured she was just enjoying nature's splendor. It was getting bright out though, so it probably wasn't a good idea for the girl to be laying there sleeping the day away. If Neola was in character, she'd know exactly what to do. But since she was “naked,” it was hard to make a choice. The impersonator had to look at the girl and consider her options. She needed to wake up, but it needed to be gentle. After some thinking, the impersonator knew what to do. Though as she leaned over the girl, she could hear a shout. This one sounded young and scared. Neola stood up, momentarily forgetting about the white haired girl at her feet. She didn't know who she was, but she knew who she had to be. The impersonator dove behind a tree and used her quick change kit.

”Stop talking.” A beautiful, elegant woman walked out from behind the trees. With just a look, anyone could tell she was from a wealthy family. She had an intense gaze, and no one wanted to be inside of it. ”A real lady can control her pitch at all times, and doesn't need to make such vulgar sounds to get attention. You're wasting my time, don't violate my ears while you're at it.” Neola didn't like being mean to such a cute little girl, but that was her character. ”And you.” She turned to face Alex ”Only a vagrant would leer at a woman like that. What sort of barn were you raised in where it's appropriate for a man to violate a woman's personal space while she sleeps?” Neola kept her dagger eyes focused on Alex.
Another week, another "State of the RP" update!

I have 1 D-collab ready to post, and another one that I have yet to be invited to.
R-team collab is wrapping up.
S-team collab is under way. And despite what you may have heard, it's fairly uneventful.

(notices the teams spell I.R.S)

And the last A team collab... might get canceled. In which case we'd basically go back to normal play by post roleplaying to resolve the rest of carnage night. I don't know who's going to be there, but it looks like it might be a lot of characters. and if everyone in the RP is going to be in one spot, why collab it?

So yea, things are moving right along. I hope everyone is having fun.
