Pretty sure the sword ends in a metal ring, neat but not helpful.

Handle is wrapped, could be leather (conductive thus bad for blocking lightning) or something else (which could be good or bad for non-conducting uses).

So I will go with not using the sword to block then.

I wish the weapons had more info about them, they throw out that it is magical but doesn't say how that works.

I'm cool with it. One question, if Leomon were to use his sentient and magical Shishiou-maru to block Lightning Spear how effective would that be?

Not really sure how the sword is magical or sentient. Magical I could see helping in the blocking. The sentient might make the magical more effective or it might not really do anything. No information at wikimon.net about the sentience or magicalness and googling it hasn't helped. Not sure how anyone would be able to tell the sword is sentient it can't speak, that I am aware of.

Cormac took command of a small band Special Forces all from different teams. They boarded the shuttle USM Voyager and made their escape from the Necromorphs. The ship there used to be on was on the verge of total destruction, they were moving as fast as possible, but they were not fast enough. Debris rained down on their shuttle like the fires that rained down on Gamorrah. The crew was thrown about like ragdolls.

The USS Creed emerged from the space distortion that sucked them in. Captain Frye ordered all the reporters to quarters, they objected but holographic security personnel gave them no choice. A holographic operations officer informed the captain of their current situation and the surrounding ships. "Just great. Hassan go to the bridge of Beta. Auditore you'll take Gamma. Dorian you'll stay here on Alpha. Be prepared to separate at a momen" The holographic operations officer interrupted about the unidentified shuttle and the lifesigns aboard. "Teleport them directly to sickbay. Have security there as well just in case. If the shuttle is safe lock on to it with the tractor beam and bring it aboard and quarantined. As I was saying earlier once you are in your respective bridges be prepared to separate at a moment's notice focus on escaping rather than fighting. We don't know where we are and if we will find or even have access to shipyard that could repair the ship." She hoped like hell this was not a time travel thing, she didn't need agents from the Department of Temporal Investigations up her ass about this.

I am thinking with my hybrid crew Dead Space.

This time they will be named after Templars.

Crew Name: Shay Cormac
Crew Role: Special Forces Captain
Crew Description: Cormac has two defining traits, he is a survivor and gets shit done no matter what. His last mission he was forced to sacrifice the lives of all his men to slow the Necromorph down long enough to get the information stored in his rig to safety.

Crew Name: Haytham Kenway
Crew Role: Specials Forces Engineer
Crew Description: Kenway is an engineer and soldier second. He would gladly give up fighting just to tinker on something but he knows that dream is a dead with the threat of the Necromorphs.

Crew Name: Lucy Stillman
Crew Role: Specials Forces Scout
Crew Description: Stillman is at her heart a scout. She wants her team to stay safe and the best way to do that is to keep them informed of all threats in their path.

Crew Name: Daniel Cross
Crew Role: Special Forces Pilot
Crew Description: Cross loves to fly. He ain’t happy unless he is in the cockpit especially if he is flying away from Necromorphs, he hasn’t slept in lord knows how long because of them.

They will be aboard [url=vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/deadspace… shuttle[/hider]. It is critically damaged and venting atmosphere. Frye of course rescues them before others can.
