I appreciate the tentative interest.

In terms of the battling, I have just had bad experiences in previous RP's where people refuse to lose or accept that their character can be beaten (not unique to Pokemon RP's). That was the whole purpose of the generator and Showdown, just to give a result to avoid arguing. Roleplaying freely in PvP can get messy if there are two stubborn people involved so just wanted people to have something that gave them a pre-set result that they could embellish as much as they want.

You had my interest, and then lost it with the dibs list. Why is that necessary? And why is capturing Pokemon so restricted? Why is is multiple people having the same Pokemon a problem. That happens sometimes. Roll with it.

Also, can't we just RP the Pokemon battles? Is it really necessary to use a simulator? Using a simulator is not the same as actually writing out a battle. If I'm using a simulator for Pokemon battles, I may as well just play the games.

What's up with the giant Pokeballs?

1. I have been in RP's with dibs lists previously and have never seen issues arise. I just don't want to see 6 players all end up with the same pokemon. I don't think it's too much to ask. If people post and have issue with the dibs list, then the compromise would be to lower the number 6.
2. Restrictions on catching Pokemon is more a tool to help writers develop their characters relationship with a smaller amount of Pokemon, instead of just catching loads and storing them, never to be used. It also will mean that character development becomes more of a focus over everyone post being a hunt for Pokemon.
3. The simulators are there to give the result of battles, everything else is up to the writers. I don't want to end up with people arguing about who would beat who.
4. They are not giant on my PC, however Captain Hindsight, I didn't factor in mobile phones or smaller screen resolutions.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do but that's just the way she goes.

So this is a basic interest check really and I won't cover too much in this post in any great detail, I just don't want to go overboard if the interest isn't there. I currently have another interest check open for a Resident Evil RP, whichever gets the most interest i'll run with. If you have any questions then feel free to ask and i'll answer when I get a chance. Anyway, lets begin:

The story will be based around a group of late teens/young adults setting out on a Pokemon adventure in the search of gym badges, glory, wealth, knowledge or whatever it is that makes them tick. In addition to each persons individual goals, there is a threat stewing that could threaten not just all Pokemon, but all life as everyone knows it.

⊙ I encourage people to be creative with their backstories. Most people are likely going to choose a character who wants to be the best Pokemon trainer in all the land, what I want to see is different reasons as to why.

⊙ Since the days of Ash Ketchum decades ago, the world has changed. Pokemon breeding programs have resulted in Pokemon no longer being specific to certain regions, this is thanks to the Oak Institute. The institute is responsible for cataloguing and monitoring the wider Pokemon population.
⊙ The RP will take place in the Kanto region, pretty much following the original path taken by Ash Ketchum to reach the Elite Four. Assuming people stick around long enough, the "end" will feature a Pokemon tournament with PvP (NPC's to fill the spaces) in which the winner is announced as Kanto Region Champion.
⊙ If people wish to continue on after the Kanto Tournament we will vote on which region follows.
⊙ Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Skull and the like were all disbanded over a decade ago, leaving a void for some other villainous team to step into the space left by them.

⊙ Generic forum rules will apply.
⊙ While there isn't a hard age limit for people taking part, mild and infrequent use of profanity is allowed.
⊙ Romances are perfectly acceptable but only for characters with a minimum age of 18. All usual forum rules regarding romances apply.
⊙ There will be a dibs list on 6 Pokemon per player. Once all player CS' have been posted, I will have each person send me their 5 preferred Pokemon of choice. 1 other Pokemon will be chosen at character creation and is free to roam outside their pokeball at all times. The list will be numbered in order of preference, 1 to 5, and will determine the 'dibs list'. This will be done is the fairest way I can think of which is as follows:

⊙ As people send their lists they are given a number in ascending order starting from 1.
⊙ Once I have received everyones lists I will start comparing them.
⊙ Once all players #1 choices have been set, I will move onto #2 choices, then #3 choices etc.
⊙ If anyone has duplicates I will unforunately need the person who has the highest player number to change. The only instance a player with a higher player number will not have to change is if they rank it higher than the other person in their list. In this case the lower numbered player would need to change.

⊙ Pokemon not on the dibs list can be be caught by anyone in the wild, however each person will be limited to 1 catch per week to stop people spamming. These Pokemon are then added to the dibs list.
⊙ The only exception to the dibs list is Pokemon that have different evolution options. The perfect example of this is Eevee. In theory 9 players could each have an Eevee to start. Each would have dibs on one of the eeveelutions with the last player keeping standard Eevee.
⊙ Standard battles versus wild Pokemon and generic trainers will give players free reign to make them as easy or difficult as they like. However, gym battles will take place using Pokemon battle simulator or if GM free time allows it, Pokemon Showdown. If anyone wants to have a friendly PvP battle in story I would suggest using the simulator or Showdown as it can give you a bit of guidance of how even or one sided a battle is.

Sully had been deep in thought a while as the trio waited for more of the rebel forces to appear, but to no avail. Time ticked past and in his mind he was concerned that the longer they did nothing, the worse things would become. It was then the alarms of the meeting place rang out loud. ALERT! ALERT! LANDING PODS HAVE HIT CITY BETA! CIVILIAN CASUALTIES CONFIRMED!

The expression on Sully's mask turned to one of pure rage, the invasion had clearly begun while the group stood around talking. He clenched his fists tight trying to stem his anger. "I knew this would happen!" he shouted. "We need to get to Beta now!" He knew that they would need to get to the city as soon as possible to minimise casualties, he couldn't see Balsora reach the same fate as his own planet.

Channeling his ki beneath him, Sully shot up into the air and began flying towards the new landing spot. He hoped that Light and Porci would be right behind him when he got there, he would likely need all the help he could get.

The beer smoothely soothed him as it made it's way down his throat, the golden nectar an always welcome part of the day. The usually bustling Flying Lotus was empty apart from Sully and his now empty glass. He placed it onto the bar and watched as the mechanised arm of the automated bar attendent took it away for cleaning. The screen on the bar in front of him illuminated with a silly question, 'Would you like another?' Sully laughed to himself, 'What do you think?' he thought. He moved to press the button for a refill before being interrupted by the return of Miguel.

"I apologize deeply for the delay. I am all yours, what may I do?"

Turning his head Sully saw Miguel smiling at him, he returned in kind giving a smile of his own. He tapped the refill button and ordered one additional for Miguel. He watched as the automated arm filled each pint to perfection, placing them in front of each of the men.

"You don't need to apologise Miguel...I mean Jesus...we've known each other long enough. Just get that in you." Picking up his own glass Connor gestured towards Miguel's before taking a deep gulp, wiping the white foam from his upper lip when finished. He wasn't one to savour his beer, he could drink enough that he didn't need to gently nurse it. He turned to speak to Miguel but was again interrupted, this time it was Marcus.

"Sully, the surveillance team has said that they had someone called Garland flag up at a northern checkpoint. Details beyond that are pretty vague. He has no fixed address and used to work for some corporation who let him and a bunch of other guys go."

While the news was somewhat good, the lack of details on a fixed address for the man meant it would be nigh impossible to track him. The northern sector of Korven was inhabited to a level much like New Osaka but it was effectively a no mans land for The Unseen and The Kings. Both gangs used it as a buffer zone to keep themselves at a safe distance from each other, with only the occassional skirmish occuring. What this meant was that even knowing Garland was there, they wouldn't have any way in which to find him. If he was a New Osaka resident the process would have been easy given their heavy, off the grid surveillance system. It was too easy for skilled people to manipulate video footage to suit their own needs and so when Kazuo was setting up the CCTV of the district, he put it all into it's own private network. No part of it is connected to any external network or system and each piece of equipment is tamper proof, instantly cutting it from the surveillance system at any hint of tampering. This has meant that the corporations, no matter how much they want to, have no visual link to what goes on within New Osaka.

"That really isn't ideal is it." Sully paused briefly, scratching at his facial hair. His eyes then widened as he remembered someone who had helped them in the northern sector previously. "Marcus do you remember Ret?" Marcus took a few seconds to think before the mans face returned to his mind, nodding to Sully in recognition. "Get on the phone to him now and ask him to pay us a visit. He will be able to help us." Marcus nodded once more before turning and walking away.

Back at the bar Sully returned to his pint and Miguel. "So how are you doing Miguel? Do you think you are ready for a trip to the northern sector?" There was every chance the trip could be problem free but on the flip side, there was every chance it could go bad very quickly. He just wanted to make sure Miguel knew what he was getting involved in.

Away from the bar Marcus scrolled his phone and found the rather unique name of Ret, giving it a call. When the ringing stopped Marcus gave the person on the other end no chance to speak.

"This is Marcus with the Unseen, Sully wants to see you at The Flying Lotus...now." Marcus put the phone down without hearing the voice on the other end, simply getting his point across. He wasn't a fan of 'outsourcing' work to those outside of the gang and often treated those people with contempt. He would rather march the entirety of The Unseen into the northern district and risk all out war with The Kings instead of using Ret. That was why Sully was his superior and why he would never one day lead the gang himself.

Resident Evil: Raccoon City [Zombie RP]

The RP will start as the reports of murders become more and more frequent throughout the city. It won't take long until everything turns into a total and utter nightmare for the PC's. Their overall aim will be to survive and eventually escape the city by whatever way they can.

☣ The RP will feature a health and stats system which I only have a rough idea of at the minute. It will mean that characters can die but it will also give an idea of how characters compare at doing certain things. The stats will have an RP impact for doing tasks such as picking a lock, searching for items and general awareness. It will involve a dice roll at my end. As I am hoping for a post a week from people, each person will send me 1 action at the start of the week. A rough example of how it would look is in the hider below. Once I have rolled your action I will tell you whether you are successful or not and any other things that happen, again see the hider below for an example.

PC: Ricky will search the bar he is in.

GM: Rolls dice - Success - Ricky finds x8 9mm pistol rounds. As he is searching a pair of zombies enter the bar and attack. Attack or run?

PC: Run

GM: Rolls dice - Failure - Ricky takes 1 level of damage down to yellow and then dispatches the zombies, either losing his knife or x4 9mm bullets.

With the information above given to the PC they would then use that in one of their posts during the week. So the PC would write about Ricky searching for as long or short a time as they like, finding the bullets. Then they would include the zombies busting into the bar and him trying run away. However due to the failure he would then have to take some damage, whether it would be a clubbing shot from a zombie, cutting himself on some broken glass or whatever.

Even though the second result is negative, it must still be done. Failure to do so will result in a severe GM punishment such as lowering health further, destroying a weapon etc.

Strictly Supernatural {Renewed}

It had been a couple of years since Sully had received a phone call from a mystic called Madame Kiki. She operated a fortune telling service deep in Lousiana, far from where Sully was based but it was somewhere he visited while hunting a pack of werewolves. While he was there she helped him out and in the process she proved that her powers of foresight were far from a magicians trick.

"Hello Kiki, it's been a while. How can I help?" Connor's thick Welsh accent was foreign to the ears of most people he came across in the US, but it's tone was soothing to those that heard it.

"Well Connor you know I wouldn't bother you unless I saw something important." Kiki's voice was as caring and loving as that of a grandmother, unfortunately for her the body she was given didn't allow her to become one. "Recently a girl got killed working at a fun house. The police reported it as some sort of wild animal attack but it's definitely something up your street. If you are not busy could you come take a look?"

Sully didn't have any current cases to work on so his answer was immediate, "Yeah of course." He looked down at his watch quickly, a timepiece a slight bit too fancy for the typical hunter although he was anything but typical. "I should be able to get to your place by about..."

Kiki interjected before he could say anything. "You're not coming to my place, you need to go to a town called Rilla. The girl worked at a haunted house, it's there she...you know..." Kiki trailed off, letting out a deep sigh.

"It shouldn't be too much further from you anyway, i'll get there by about 3pm tomorrow if I leave now." He picked up what he called his "ready to go bag" and made for the door of his apartment, not wasting any time.

"You just be careful Connor...come see me when you're done." Kiki loved company, it gave her a chance to show off her amazing culinary skills. "Anyway I will let you go Connor, I can hear you half way out of the door already...as usual. I'll see you when it's all done."

"I'm just not a fan of time wasting." Sully let out a laugh before bidding Kiki farewell. "Take care." Ending the call Connor locked his door behind him and started on the long journey to Rilla.

Sully emerged from the hotel onto the highstreet that ran through Rilla after getting a quick power nap. He scanned the street taking in the number of people that vastly outweighed the size of the town. The girls death had not put anyone off from visiting, the town clearly made a living from the entire month of October. Even so Sully was there for a reason, the girl Megan. After some minor digging it didn't take long to find her parents house location, that was as good a place to start as any.

The roaring engine of his Mustang ceased as he turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car. He was wearing an all black suit that gave the distinct impression of someone who was more than just a simple detective. He reached inside his jacket pocket and pulled out an ID that read Mark Evans, FBI. He always liked to double check the details of his identification, he didn't want to risk giving his cover away. Luckily for him the only real way his cover could be blown was through his own mistakes. His good friend Curtis hacked his way into the databases of all organisations that Connor had identification for and created actual records and back stories should any local forces ever try and check him out. Mark Evans moved to the US at the age of 16 before joining local law enforcement, eventually moving onto the FBI...thats what Curtis put in his record at least.

With ID in hand Sully made his way to the door and knocked with a firm fist. He intended to ask the usual generic hunter questions and also if possible, to search Megan's room for anything that could help him work out what he was dealing with. It took a moment but the door soon opened, "I am so sorry to bother you, my name is Detective Mark Evans, would it possible for me to come in?"
